That's the News and I Am Outta Here!

With a gig tomorrow night, a big stack of DVDs to watch and review, "Ray" to see (irony!), Dead or Alive Ultimate on hand and an Election to cast my worthless (voting Libertarian) vote in, I'll be off until Wednesday when I'm sure I'll have something to say about something.

In the meantime, visit all the links at the right and broaden your horizons.

Cheers!!!

And to show that it's all about love here at Dirkworld®, here's a fine gratuitous shot of Bai Ling:

You're welcome!!!

The Last Desperate Bleats of a Drowning Feckless Crapweasel (or How the Red Sox Bogarted All the Luck In New England)

With this last minute campaign ad from Osama bin Hagar which sounds like he's been sitting in a cave watching "Centigrade 7-11" since Tubby Riefenstahl dropped off his autographed copy last summer, John Kerry has got to be wondering if his ol' pal Osama really wants him to win or not, cuz it doesn't help that while he's been attacking the troops as idiots for letting .1% of Iraqs explosives go missing (which is still 99.9% more than a President Kerry would've rounded up), John & Jane Q. got a fresh reminder that someone's out their needing killing and he ain't the guy to do it, no matter how much he pretends he wants to.

Before I depart for the long Election weekend, I leave you rabid Dubya haters with a final reminder as to why you're simple-minded plankton in your support of Feckless...er...John Kerry as the Annointed "Anybody But Bush" and how supporting him is proof that you aren't thinking about anything but revenge for 2000 - nevermind that EVERYONE was happy that Gore wasn't President on 9/11. In fact, now that I think of it, even the tinfoil hat crowd never says that Gore would've done everything better like Kerry does. Wow.

The kind people over at the Captain's Quarters lay the smack down on JFingK's typically shameful and childish outbursts today:

I'm not suggesting that John Kerry shelve his campaign in the face of the OBL videotape. Doing so only gives the Islamofascist mass murderer a political victory. However, Kerry should have stuck to the facts instead of promoting what is, at best, mere speculation about bin Laden's whereabouts in December 2001. He also should quit promoting that intellectually lazy "outsourcing" line that has been proven false and misleading. The statement is also wildly hypocritical considering that his major policy stance in Iraq is to attempt to "outsource" the democratization of the newly liberated Iraqis to the UN, guided by the famous democracies of Syria and China, and the paragons of virtue that are France and Russia.

In engaging in rank demagoguery and using OBL's threats as an explicit inspiration, he makes bin Laden a legitimate voice in the election -- exactly what OBL intended. His empty assertions that he would have poured men and materials into Tora Bora based on hazy intelligence on one man's whereabouts, and into an area in which the US military had lukewarm expertise, instead of our partners whose intimate knowledge of the terrain and quite frankly were expendable while we kept our options open, shows the shallowness of his understanding of military strategy -- as well as the falsity of his oft-stated emphasis on building alliances.

Bush needs to keep up the pressure on Kerry for his reliance on the appearance of America's enemies to make his case for the presidency. We knew where Hitler was in 1944, too, and Hirohito as well. Did Wendell Wilkie hold press conferences blaming Roosevelt for their continued existence in order to convince voters of his qualifications as commander in chief? No. Wilkie had what Kerry does not -- a love of country that outstripped his personal ambitions, and the class to understand that Hitler and Hirohito were the enemy, while Roosevelt was merely Wilkie's opponent. It's a lesson that the Left in this country still hasn't learned, and hopefully American voters will teach them that lesson on Tuesday.

Of course, if you're sympathetic to Kerry's anti-American leanings, this will only make you want to vote for him more, won't it?

Osama Lives, Endorses Kerry!

Well, well....despite no mention of Van Helsing, it seems that Osama bin Hagar has decided to send a long-distance dedication to his homie J-to-tha-F-to-tha-K-to-the-feckless-crapweasel and appear in a nice campaign ad that may've been scripted by Michael Moore.

Apparently, everything is our fault and all we have to do is bug out of the Middle East and abandon Israel and everything will be all good for the future. Good thing we've got just the guy running who will gladly meet OBH's demands by brie-and-tea time next Jan. 20th.

Kerry Brutally Beaten By Man In Wheelchair!!!

Chuckie Krauthammer speak Truth to the liars yet again in Kerry's Afghan Amnesia (washingtonpost.com) detailing how John Kerry has flip-flopped and rewritten history in a manner that his Soviet controllers would blush with pride over. Read the whole thing, but here's the punchline:

This election comes down to a choice between one man's evolution and the other man's resolution. With his endlessly repeated Tora Bora charges, Kerry has made Afghanistan a major campaign issue. So be it. Whom do you want as president? The man who conceived the Afghan campaign, carried it through without flinching when it was being called a "quagmire" during its second week and has seen it through to Afghanistan's transition to democracy? Or the retroactive genius, who always knows what needs to be done after it has already happened -- who would have done "everything" differently in Iraq, yet in Afghanistan would have replicated Bush's every correct, courageous, radical and risky decision -- except one. Which, of course, he would have done differently. He says. Now.

Star Wars: Episode III Teaser Poster Revealed

A moment's break from bashing Darth Kerry to get some Star Wars geekage up. The new teaser poster for Revenge of the Sith is out...

...and I'm not too crazy about it. The cape is billowing too much to get that Darth Vader face in - it's contrived. Some of the fake posters floating around the Interweb looked better IMO.

John Kerry: Lying War Fraud. (Duh.)

I'm sure many people passing thru are 110% certain to vote for John Kerry because he is the "anybody but Bush" on the ballot next Tuesday. I've even been told that if the choice was between Dubya and Mussolini, they'd chose ol' Benny cuz they hate Dub with such blazing fury.

OK, fine, you'll vote for a proven liar and ruthless traitor to America just to avenge Al Gore, but while you count down the moments til you can rush off to as many precincts as you can to cast as many fraudulent provisional ballots (works best if you aren't white, BTW) before calling the lawyers to complain that you had to show your ID, take a half-hour and see the latest mini-films from the SwiftVets and POWs for Truth, the folks who have been smeared by Team Kerry's butt monkeys in the media as being partisans while allowing Kerry to cover up his service record which could reveal that he's a self-made war fraud...er....hero, dontchaknow?

If you've only got time for one film, watch the "No Man Left Behind" episode - it's only 8 minutes, but if you still think Kerry's anything but a self-serving fraud after this, well, vote up, Shriner!

Kerry Chooses Plagiarist for Secretary of State

As reported by The Times (London) Online, feckless crapweasel and President wannabe John Kerry is already counting his chickens and has asked infamous British politician channeler Joe Biden to be our Secretary of State.

THE man whose presidential ambitions were destroyed when he plagiarised Neil Kinnock is set to become America’s chief foreign policymaker if John Kerry is elected President next Tuesday.

Senator Joseph Biden of Delaware has been asked by Mr Kerry to become Secretary of State in a Democratic administration, according to Kerry campaign aides. Mr Biden, the leading Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for the past four years, ran for President in 1988. His campaign ended abruptly when it was revealed that a key element of his stump speech had been lifted directly from Mr Kinnock’s general election speeches in 1987.

When Biden goes to surrender America's sovereignty to Iraq's oil-fed allies, will he use his own words or rip off someone else's capitulation?

John Kerry Hates American Soldiers!!! (Duh.)

You may've heard rumors that Kerry served in Viet Nam (No? Yes!) and lots of references to his "Band of Brothers", you know, those guys who he abandoned in the jungles of Nam the moment he was able to forge enough Purple Hearts to bug out of country and leave others to "die for a mistake...for a lie." Of course, the same lying crapbag who says that Iraq wasn't a threat to the United States also says that he proudly "defended America" from the.....uh....Viet Namese. Cuz they were gonna come over here and get us, dontcha know? Um....

If Dubya hadn't been a total liberal whore for media acceptance - the fat lot of good it did him - and had resisted his urge to outspend LBJ and cynically trashed the Constitution for dubious reasons and the Election was solely about the War on Terror, I wouldn't have a second thought about recommending his re-election, especially since the alternative is a tragedy waiting to happen.

Yeah, it's thin gruel to say "Don't vote for that guy, but I'm not voting for this guy either," but to say that it's not possible to do worse than the current occupant of the Oval Office is just wrong. It is and this Hugh Hewitt column at the Weekly Standard sums up the overlooked (and under-reported) fact that John Kerry has built his entire political life on the foundation of trashing his "Band of Brothers" and the American military. As posted before, he believes that it's only OK for U.S. soldiers to die in service of the UN, not the U.S.

JOHN KERRY now closes his presidential campaign exactly as he opened his political life: Attacking the United States military.

Thirty-three years ago, before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, he indicted the soldiers of Vietnam as war criminals, the heirs of Genghis Khan.

This week he embraced an already discredited account of missing munitions to attack the reputation of the 3rd Infantry Division and the 101st Airborne. Make no mistake, that is exactly what Kerry is doing when he asserts that deadly weapons went unsecured and unreported as these two divisions rushed to liberate Baghdad. And not just these divisions, but every officer and soldier who had a hand in drawing up the war plan. If the negligence that Kerry charges the military with was real, additional troops would not have made a difference. The initial search would still have been conducted by the 3rd I.D. and the site pronounced clear. The 101st would still have spent 24 hours in the munitions complex before moving on. Kerry cannot avoid owning the latest of many slanders he has launched at the military as a means of wounding the president.

That the story was floated by a Bush foe in the U.N. bureaucracy at the IAEA did not discourage Kerry. Nor did the evident pretzel logic of condemning the war while bemoaning the huge danger of Saddam's arsenal. The facts on the myth of the missing munitions are available at The Belmont Club and Instapundit, but facts did not matter to Kerry at all, nor the reputations of the soldiers he charged with allowing massive amounts of deadly munitions to go missing.

THIS ELECTION has had a Greek Chorus--the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and the POWs who testified in Stolen Honor. The mainstream media did not want to hear this chorus, even when the first volley aimed at Kerry successfully exposed his fabricated tale of a secret mission to Cambodia on Christmas Eve, 1968--an episode Kerry asserted on the floor of the Senate was "seared, seared" into his memory. The mainstream media has refused to question Kerry on his other accounts of incredible adventures transporting CIA men up river and running guns to anti-communist Cambodians, afraid perhaps to pull on a thread that might leave the candidate exposed as a serial fabulist. Despite the hostility, the chorus has kept chanting, this week even, pointing to meetings Kerry held in Paris with the North Vietnamese.

I am grateful for their work, especially this week as Kerry lashes out again at the men and women in uniform. Many times over his long political career Kerry has taken credit for missions he did not undertake and successes in war he did not achieve. What a sharp contrast with his attempt this week to deny credit to active duty soldiers for missions that really did occur and which really did succeed.

The left genuinely hates these veterans of that long ago war: for refusing to shut up and sit down; for questioning the pose struck by Kerry long ago; for rekindling memories of a war that, once lost, resulted in the death of millions.

The veterans' real significance has been to keep the question of fitness for command front and center for the past three months. The Kerry campaign has been almost all low ball--from the moment he blamed the Secret Service agent for his fall on the slopes, to his venom picked up by a mike he thought was off to his, his staff's, and Elizabeth Edwards's abuse of Mary Cheney's privacy to his wife's condescension towards Laura Bush. And when not low ball, he was bouncing a pitch at Fenway and bagging (or not) a goose in full hunting regalia. Kerry's not a closer: He's a poser, or maybe what the Canadians would call a hoser.

But what he most certainly is not is a commander-in-chief.

The Left has slurred most of this Administration as "chicken hawks" because they use military force while skipping military service - though Dubya served and didn't get credit either, so it doesn't matter to them when they'll just lie anyways - but it's interesting that their Annointed Candidate is far worse than a chicken hawk, he's a sheep in wolves clothing - talking tough, but ALWAYS ready to side AGAINST America, AGAINST our soldiers and AGAINST our security.

Don't take my word for it - take his. Those being the words he said before he decided it was time to pretend he was something he never was: A proud American.

Country at a Crossroads

One of the most frustrating aspects of the past few years has been the shobboleth that "real patriots are those who criticize the government" coming from people who didn't have a problem with - or didn't openly speak out against - Bill Clinton's war in Bosnia (no UN approval or threat to America) or his attacking of two Muslim countries with cruise missiles, blowing up an aspirin factory in Sudan (don't the anti-Americans claim that we brought 9/11 upon ourselves?) because his tubby mistress was testifying about Stupid Cigar Tricks and the ramifications of not getting the evidence cleaned.

Pointing out liberal hypocrisy is like reminding people that fish in the sea tend to be constantly damp - seemingly obvious, but news to some. With the Countdown to Armageddon clock standing at t-minus-5 days, it appears that there are still some idiots who think the answer to the Dubya problem is to elect Kerry because "he can't be any worse" (despite oodles of evidence to prove otherwise.)

The lessons of history are ignored when ideologically inconvenient to the Left, by historian Victor Davis Hanson reminds us that at many times, we've had some tough choices to make and, fortunately, we've made the choices that have allowed the general comfort and safety that allows today's ill-informed and maliciously treasonous the latitude to espouse their smug pieties in the hope that America will slit it's own throat.

The full text is in the print version of National Review, but this sample says enough:

Had Lincoln lost the 1864 vote, a victorious General McClellan would have settled for an American continent divided, with slavery intact. Without Woodrow Wilson's reelection in 1916 — opposed by the isolationists — Western Europe would have lost millions only to be trampled by Prussian militarism. Franklin Roosevelt's interventionism saved liberal democracy. And without the 1980 election of Ronald Reagan and his unpopular agenda for remaking the military, the Soviet Union might still be subsidizing global murder.

This election marks a similar crossroads in our history. We are presented with two radically different candidates with profound disagreements about how to conduct a historic worldwide war. We should remember that all our victorious past presidents were, at the moments of their crises, deeply unpopular precisely because they chose the difficult, long-term sacrifice for victory over the expedient and convenient pleas for accommodation (if not outright capitulation). We are faced with just such an option today: a choice between a president whose call for patience and sacrifice promises victory, and a pessimist stirring the people with the assurances that we should not have fought, and now cannot win, the present war in Iraq.

Our terrorist enemy has no uniforms or aircraft, but nevertheless struck at the very heart of our financial and political capitals in a fashion unimaginable by Nazi Germany, Tojo's Japan, or the Soviet Union. The Islamic fascists' creed is Hitlerian, their methodology primeval. Their aim is not mere territory: They want nothing less than the destruction of Western freedom, through the takeover of the Middle East and the use of its petroleum wealth to craft a nuclear, global caliphate, Dark Aged in its values, 21st-century in its lethality.

This war against Islamic fascism is now a quarter-century old, and began with the Iranian seizure of the American embassy in 1979; the apex of this escalating assault — owing to past American neglect and appeasement — was September 11. Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and John Kerry — so unlike their Democratic predecessors FDR, Harry Truman, and John Kennedy — have seen the struggle not as one for national survival, but at best as the lamentable dividend of inequality or poverty, and at worst as the felonious behavior of a few miscreants who seem to eat, sleep, and bank in the upper air rather than in the houses and streets of real countries. Thus arose John Kerry's revealing use of "sensitive" and "nuisance" to suggest that we need to return either to writs and indictments or the occasional cruise missile — i.e., the status quo before the world changed on 9/11.

Even though I'm dissatisfied with Dubya and am not voting for him, you don't see me voting to sacrifice my country to settle my differences over his stewardship. I hope others reach the same conclusion, because the price to be paid will make 9/11 look like a picnic and you know damn well, the Left won't accept responsibility for the carnage.

John Kerry Wanted Saddam To Have 400,000 Tons of Explosives...

...but now wants us to be upset that we can't find 380 of those tons now?!?!?!?

Andrew C. McCarthy, who who led the 1995 terrorism prosecution against Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman and eleven others, beats down on the Times, CFR and Kerry's dangerously naive fecklessness with regard to his UN Masters. The sauce:

Why is it more plausible that the U.S. forces incompetently safeguarded the site than that Saddam cleaned it out beforehand? It's not. That, no doubt, is why Kerry foreign-policy adviser Richard Holbrooke candidly told Fox's John Gibson yesterday that he did not know the truth of what had happened. But a non-story doesn't help Kerry, and a story that points to the Iraqi dictator as the culprit would only underscore the danger that Saddam posed and further validate President Bush's determination to remove him.

So the Kerry wags instead weaved a story that made Bush and the military into the keystone cops. The Kerry camp was so clued in that they had a campaign ad up by the close of business. Just imagine, though, what the Times and CBS would say if the Justice Department brought an indictment based on the dearth of evidence Kerry is now using to accuse the president of the United States of being an incredible incompetent.

Still, the bigger questions about competence remain. Saddam didn't have 380 tons of high explosives; he had 400,000. Using the Kerry math — now ludicrously deployed to evoke images of Pan Am 103 after months of Democrat insistence that Saddam and terror were like oil and water — this would compute to 80 million planes that could have been exploded out of the sky.

That can't happen now, however. Under President Bush's leadership, over 99 percent of that 400,000 tons is now in American hands. Under a President Kerry, 100 percent of them would have been in the hands of a free Saddam who, having bought off the allies with whom Kerry longs to summit, would be thisclose to ending the sanctions and regenerating his ambitious WMD programs — with Abu Musab al Zarqawi happily ensconced in Northern Iraq and Osama bin Laden perhaps cashing in on Saddam's long pending offer of safe harbor.

Kerry's latest riff, of course, has been that the president rushed into a war (that Kerry voted to authorize) instead of "giving the inspections a chance to work." Is no one — not Kerry, not the Times, not CBS — troubled by the fact that their vision of the "inspections working" is one in which Saddam was blithely permitted to keep 400,000 tons of high explosives, constituting components for nuclear weapons and long-range ballistic missiles — components that were supposed to have been removed, destroyed or rendered inert a dozen years earlier under the resolutions that ended the Gulf War.

Just what does American national security get out of summitry and IAEA inspections? If that's competence, let us hope for more "incredible incompetence."

Remember, the world will love us the moment we surrender to them! Vote Kerry!!!!

John Kerry: Communist Tool?

Linda Chavez says that "The media plays 'trick or treat'" and points out:

The media are too busy repackaging old Iraq news in an October offensive against President George W. Bush's reelection to investigate truly startling evidence unearthed this week that the Communist Party may have been directing John Kerry's anti-war activities in the early 1970s. The evidence, contained in captured communist records on file at the Vietnam Center at Texas Tech University, shows a well-coordinated effort by the Communist Party to recruit American servicemen and officers to become part of the American anti-war movement. The objective was to organize high-profile activities to undermine support for the Vietnam War, including holding hearings on alleged war crimes, lobbying Congress to oppose the war, exploiting the families of American POWs and urging servicemen to return their service medals.

Not only did John Kerry and his group Vietnam Veterans Against the War follow this game plan, but Kerry went to Paris to meet with the communist official designated as the point of contact for guiding these activities. In June 1970, Kerry met with Madame Binh, foreign minister of the Provisional Revolutionary Government (Viet Cong) of South Vietnam and a delegate to the Paris Peace Talks. The documents discovered this weekend -- one titled "Circular on Antiwar Movements in the U.S." was disseminated in Vietnam in the spring of 1971, and the other titled "Directive" was captured by the U.S. in April 1971 -- are available for viewing at www.wintersoldier.com. They reveal a detailed plan to use antiwar activists in the U.S. as propagandists for the communist cause in Vietnam.

So why isn't the mainstream media all over this story? If John Kerry -- wittingly or not -- was carrying out directives from Hanoi, or perhaps even Moscow, the American people have the right to know before they decide whether to elect him president on Tuesday. But the networks and major dailies were too busy covering a hysterical report that 380 tons of explosives went missing from an Iraqi depot in the early days of the U.S. invasion to inquire into John Kerry's dubious activities in the anti-war movement.

The media rule seems to be if a story might hurt George W. Bush, play it up big; if it might help Bush, bury it; and if might hurt John Kerry, ignore it altogether. In an election as close as this one, the media's role could be decisive. We used to expect the candidates to unleash their own October surprise in an effort to sway the voters at the last minute. Now it's the media that plays that game. Come Halloween, it's media tricks for Bush and treats for Kerry.

We all knew that Bill Clinton was a draft dodger who fled overseas and protested America from foreign soil - kinda like the Dixie Chicks - but on his worst day he didn't approach the level of sheer anti-American activity that Komrade Kerry gleefully participated in and will participate in in the future.

Where do John Kerry's loyalties lie? He says with America. His actions indicate otherwise.

Bob Woodward Sez: "John Kerry is afraid to answer questions, the little bitch!"

OK, the headline's a bit hyperbolic, but the fact remains that John Feckless Kerry who constantly yelps that he'd do a better job in fighting the War on Terror has dodged Woodward - a definite non-conservative who has shared custody of the mounted head of Richard Nixon with Carl Bernstein - and won't even agree to be interviewed with an advance list of questions! (You'd think that Team Kerry could make up some answers for the boss, but I guess that didn't happen.)

At the end of last year, during 3 1/2 hours of interviews over two days, I asked President Bush hundreds of detailed questions about his actions and decisions during the 16-month run-up to the war in Iraq. His answers were published in my book "Plan of Attack." Beginning on June 16, I had discussions and meetings with Sen. John Kerry's senior foreign policy, communications and political advisers about interviewing the senator to find out how he might have acted on Iraq -- to ask him what he would have done at certain key points. Senior Kerry advisers initially seemed positive about such an interview. One aide told me, "The short answer is yes, it's going to happen."

In August, I was talking with Kerry's scheduler about possible dates. On Sept. 1, Kerry began his intense criticism of Bush's decisions in the Iraq war, saying "I would've done almost everything differently." A few days later, I provided the Kerry campaign with a list of 22 possible questions based entirely on Bush's actions leading up to the war and how Kerry might have responded in the same situations. The senator and his campaign have since decided not to do the interview, though his advisers say Kerry would have strong and compelling answers.

Woodward then prints the list of questions that we're supposed to take John Kerry's word that he'd be able to do a better job on. After we elect him. Convenient, no?

Flip the script: Would you tolerate this sort of evasion from Dubya? If not, why are you supporting a weasel who can't/won't answer the questions directly related to his claim to power?

Kerry Lackey Richard Holbrooke Sez: "I Don't Know the Truth"

As "Bombgate" keeps blowing up in John Kerry's face - damn those incompetent liars at the NY Times! If only they'd waited for Sunday and 60 Minutes, there wouldn't have been time to catch the lies before Kerry was elected! - here's a nice summation of how Kerry proves himself the feckless crapweasel he is by running ads based on false news stories that his own people can't verify as true. The punchline:

It also now turns out that CBS 60 Minutes was planning to echo the New York Times story two days before Election Day. So what we have is an attempt by the New York Times, CBS, and a U.N. agency to work together to promote a very likely false story to damage President Bush's reelection prospects. Perhaps no one should be surprised that the liberal media and the United Nations are willing to go to quite extraordinary lengths to promote Kerry's prospects against Bush, but their behavior is not the issue. The issue is Kerry's willingness to advance allegations that his own campaign acknowledges may not be true.

To all you people who believe that it can't get any worse than Dubya: Are you so sure of that? Is this the way you want to win - by using bald-faced LIES?

BTW: We're talking about 380 tons missing when we've captured and/or destroyed 400,000+ tons of ordinance so far. (Iraq is like one huge ammo dump. Wonder why Michael Moore neglected to show that in his little propaganda film?) If the cops raided an underage drinking party and confiscated 44 cases of beer and then it's revealed that a SINGLE CAN of beer may've disappeared before the raid and a politician came along demanding that he be the mayor because of it, would you actually laugh out loud at him or just roll your eyes?

U2 Special Edition iPod

For an extra $50 over the normal ticket price for a 20GB iPod, you can get this bad boy, which suspiciously looks like a certain blog site:

It comes with their new single "Vertigo" available for free download and I somehow doubt that a single cent of your purchase price is going to go to alleviating the suffering of the poor of the Third World.

Slate Votes - At this magazine, it's Kerry by a landslide!

At least, they're being honest in their nearly unanimous hatred of Dubya, though it's interesting to see how many think Kerry will be a failure, but at least he'll be a liberal failure and not an Evil Republican. For those wondering what the tally is:

Kerry: 44
Dubya: 3
Green: 1
Libertarian: 1
Canadian citizen who can't vote, but hates Dubya: 1

To show the deep love these guys have for their boy, dig these comments from a Kerry voter:

I remain totally unimpressed by John Kerry. Outside of his opposition to the death penalty, I've never seen him demonstrate any real political courage. His baby steps in the direction of reform liberalism during the 1990s were all followed by hasty retreats. His Senate vote against the 1991 Gulf War demonstrates an instinctive aversion to the use of American force, even when it's clearly justified. Kerry's major policy proposals in this campaign range from implausible to ill-conceived. He has no real idea what to do differently in Iraq. His health-care plan costs too much to be practical and conflicts with his commitment to reducing the deficit. At a personal level, he strikes me as the kind of windbag that can only emerge when a naturally pompous and self-regarding person marinates for two decades inside the U.S. Senate. If elected, Kerry would probably be a mediocre, unloved president on the order of Jimmy Carter. And I won't have a second's regret about voting for him. Kerry's failings are minuscule when weighed against the massive damage to America's standing in the world, our economic future, and our civic institutions that would likely result from a second Bush term.

Amazing how this guy can seem so cogent up until he gets to discussing Dubya, when his mind locks into the Air America Radio signal and his bowels loosen over Dubya's unwillingness to let those bribed by Iraqi oil money determine our policies.

Program note: I'll be addressing the liberals and their hypocrisy on the "fear" issue in a future post. Stay tuned.

John Peel R.I.P.

If you became of musical age in the late-70's or early-80's, you're probably familiar with the name John Peel. He was a legendary - and in an age when enconiums are handed out like Purple Hearts for anyone willing to fill out the paperwork, it's a label that kinda understates the man's quality - DJ for BBC's Radio 1/Radio 4 who was instrumental in breaking bands from the Sex Pistols to the White Stripes. Without him, depressed kids wouldn't have had goth to provide the soundtrack to their black-clad days and South Park would've been destroyed by MechaStreisand.

Check out his obit at the Guardian then roll over to the BBC site and tune into the tribute broadcasts.

American radio has no equivalent voice - heck, the closest we're fed is Carson "Massive Tool" Daly as if TRL could break as many influential acts as Peel did. Yuck.

Combined with the recent passing of Greg Shaw, founder of Bomp Records, the people who did so much to bring "alternative" music to the people are dwindling in numbers.

Honor their lives by going to the mall record store and if you see anyone buying an Ashlee Simpson CD, go ahead and punch them in the friggin' nose!

CBS Get Off The Air...NOW!!!!

The details are coming in fast and furious from too many sources to reference here in the time I have available, but if you cruise to the political sites linked at right, you'll see that the Big Lie October Surprise launched by the NY Times to help their Annointed Candidate defeat Dubya is falling apart almost as quickly as a forged memo on 60 Minutes, who, coincidentally, planned to drop this bomb on Sunday night, just in time to try and skew the Election. Is there ANYTHING these liars can be believed about?

The Short Version: The Times reported yesterday that 380 tons of high-explosive material was missing from an Iraqi Army depot. The spin is that Dubya and Halliburton were too busy guarding the Oil Ministry and beating prisoners to watch the store and now our soldiers are getting blown up with the stuff.

The Underreported Details: There are many indications (as mentioned in the post below) that the stuff may've been moved out BEFORE the war even began, not that facts matter much when there's an agenda to serve. Unremarked upon by the MSM hungry to defeat Dubya is that the story is being floated by IAEA head Mohamed ElBaradei, who's been slacking on the job since 1997 and wants a 3rd term, but is opposed by the U.S.

Can you say, "Wanting to get some payback with the help of a American media looking for anything that can tear down the President and elect their Annointed Feckless Crapweasel?"

I knew you could.

National Review's award-winning "The Kerry Spot" is on top of things and getting info from people with .mil e-mail addys which give the side of the soldiers that Michael Moore doesn't care about. (He only like his G.I. Joes dead and ready for exploitation and profit.) Read it all.

7 days to go....

My Cat Hates You!!!!

Well, not actually MY cat, since our beloved Princess passed away in April 2003 (while invading Iraq!), but the cats featured at My Cat Hates You dot com - a site dedicated to.....um.....well.....I'm guessing.....HATEFUL CATS!

Whaddya think? Should I send them a picture of P-Nut?

She's not some much "hateful" as much as kinda disdainful, ya know?

Teach your children well.

If you're curious as to what Kerry's favored side in the Arab-Israeli conflict is teaching their kids, peep this page at Palestinean Media Watch with some of the helpful indoctrination videos used to program the next generation of intifada soldiers.

Yeah, we're the bad guys....

You can't lose what isn't there to start with, can you?

Didja hear about the 380 tons of explosives that were missing in Iraq? Didja hear John F-ing Kerry blame Dubya for blah-blah-woof-woof? Big screw-up, right?

Before you answer, take note that Jim Miklaszewski of NBC News pretty much dismantled the New York Times attack on behalf of Kerry today. The sauce:

NBC News: Miklaszewski: “April 10, 2003, only three weeks into the war, NBC News was embedded with troops from the Army's 101st Airborne as they temporarily take over the Al Qakaa weapons installation south of Baghdad. But these troops never found the nearly 380 tons of some of the most powerful conventional explosives, called HMX and RDX, which is now missing. The U.S. troops did find large stockpiles of more conventional weapons, but no HMX or RDX, so powerful less than a pound brought down Pan Am 103 in 1988, and can be used to trigger a nuclear weapon. In a letter this month, the Iraqi interim government told the International Atomic Energy Agency the high explosives were lost to theft and looting due to lack of security. Critics claim there were simply not enough U.S. troops to guard hundreds of weapons stockpiles, weapons now being used by insurgents and terrorists to wage a guerrilla war in Iraq.” (NBC’s “Nightly News,” 10/25/04)

For those too busy examining their own colons or waiting for Michael Moore to tell them with a bouncy, ironic soundtrack, what the above means is that Kerry's lying and the NY Times is desperate to catch up with Dan Rather on the credibility shredding front. Don't they know that Dan's been trying to catch them?

How Dems could try to hijack the election.

It's Countdown to Armageddon time, so the updates should be coming fast and furious for the next week, starting with how the non-democratic Democrats are going to use provisional ballots to steal the Election. The snip:

The Democratic political-legal strategy for November 2 has become increasingly clear in recent weeks. File as many lawsuits as possible in the run-up to the voting to create as much chaos around election law and procedures as possible. Including the suits to keep Ralph Nader off the ballot — for which Democratic lawyers display a newfound appreciation for the niceties of election law — there had roughly been 40 suits filed as of Friday, with more coming every day. In the ensuing confusion, Democrats will then shout after the election "count all the ballots," even those that have been cast in dubious circumstances.

The nub of the likely Democratic strategy is the so-called "provisional ballot." The 2002 Help America Vote Act (HAVA) requires that any voter whose registration is uncertain, or who is unregistered, can still cast a ballot "provisionally." Once the polls close, the voter's name is checked against public records to ensure its eligibility, and then his vote is added to the relevant candidate's tally. In theory, it is a sensible idea, giving a voter who is the victim of some bureaucratic snafu the chance to vote. But the Democrats hope to turn the intention of the law on its head. Provisional ballots are presumed unlawful unless demonstrated otherwise. Remember: These "provisional" votes wouldn't have been considered valid in 2000. Many of them surely should be excluded this year, but Democrats will create pressure to count them all no matter what.

Combined with Elizabeth Edwards threats of rioting in they don't win, is there any doubt as to the lengths the Left will go to secure power, even if it means the destruction of the institutions they wish to rule? Get ready to hear the words "disenfranchisement" a LOT in the next 10 days as the Party that actively works to prevent pro-Republican military people from voting act that asking for photo ID is a return to poll taxes and slavery.

Another Reason Why Democrats Are Always Angry?

Could it be the fact that their marquee women are like Madeline Albright (to be played by Danny DeVito in the movie) or Janet Reno (Chewbacca) or this....uh.....lady?

While the Republicans get to claim hotties like:

Could be! ;)

Have a good weekend and don't forget to brag about your education while talking like a dropout!

UPDATE: A comment was posted alleging that the Kerry supporter photo was a fake and/or a fake created my Yours Truly. Well, here's the news story that had the photo and on the right side is this link to the page where I linked the photo from.

After posting your apologies here, why not go bother Dan Rather for his actual lies instead of trying to silence those with whom you disagree? Ta!

Starting to regret saving Britain as well....

A sign of prosperity is a lack of concern over what evils may lurk in the dark and a sign of freedom from (apparent) danger is a reckless contempt for those who made it possible for these ungrateful teabags to be safe and rich in the first place.

Now, this asshole writing for the Guardian (UK)isn't really that much worse than the enraged and insane Dubya-haters that make a good living blowing smoke up each other's arses - look at how much the profits of rage hae enriched Tubby Riefenstahl - but when the screed ends like this:

"On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. And Sod's law dictates he'll probably win, thereby disproving the existence of God once and for all. The world will endure four more years of idiocy, arrogance and unwarranted bloodshed, with no benevolent deity to watch over and save us. John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr - where are you now that we need you?"

It kinda makes you wonder how they would've enjoyed living under Gerry. This is, you'll recall, the former Empire that turned the death of a Princess into the textbook example of wretched excess and lacking proportionality. Reagan's funeral was NOTHING like this and all he did was win the Cold War.

Why does isolationism sound so good to me now? Maybe we should just bring the boys back home and when the Islamofascist jackals come a'knockin' on their door, turn off the porch light and turn up the tele.

Hooters Shanghai!

What more needs to be said?

John Kerry's Final Solution?

The Number One (#1) kneejerk slur hurled by the oh-so-tolerant denizens of the Left is some variant of "Nazi" (e.g. fascist, brownshirt, jackbooted, etc.) in violation of Godwin's Law. Not only is this a cheap and unfair tactic, it's also 180 degrees removed from reality as the largest supporters of anti-Semitism these days are found in Europe and their Annointed Bitch Boy, John Francoise Kerry.

A pair of scatching editorial have appeared recently which openly question Kerry's apparent desire to sacrifice Israel to the harsh mercies of the UN and the Palestinians in order to appease his ideological masters in Brussels and Paris.

First up is "Kerry The Clueless", which includes this:

So why am I still exercised about John Kerry?

It's the ramifications of his foreign policy in general, especially his fixation on the United Nations as the arbiter of international legitimacy, proctor of that "global test."

Save for the U.S. veto in the Security Council, Israel loses every struggle at the U.N. against lopsided majorities. In the General Assembly and the Human Rights Commission, Muslim states trade their votes to protect aggressors and tyrannies from censure in exchange for libels against the Jewish state. The body's bloated and dishonest bureaucracies are no better, as evidenced most recently by the head of the U.N. Palestine refugee organization, who defended having Hamas militants on his staff.

I've searched to find one time when Kerry — even candidate Kerry — criticized a U.N. action or statement against Israel. I've come up empty. Nor has he defended Israel against the European Union's continuous hectoring. Another thing that bothers me about Kerry is the deus ex machina he has up his sleeve: the appointment of a presidential envoy. It's hard to count how many special emissaries have been dispatched from Washington to the Middle East to solve the Arab-Israeli conflict. What's easy to see is that none of them has gotten to "yes."

If that wasn't enough, today, Charles Krauthammer tears apart "Kerry's false plan for peace" with comments like:

He really does want to end America's isolation. And he has an idea how to do it. For understandable reasons, however, he will not explain how on the eve of an election.
Think about it: What do the Europeans and the Arab states endlessly rail about in the Middle East? What (outside Iraq) is the area of most friction with U.S. policy? What single issue most isolates America from the overwhelming majority of countries at the United Nations?

The answer is obvious: Israel.

In what currency, therefore, would we pay the rest of the world in exchange for their support in places like Iraq? The answer is obvious: giving in to them on Israel.

John Kerry says he wants to ``rejoin the community of nations.'' There is no issue on which the United States more fails the global test of international consensus than Israel. Last July, the General Assembly declared Israel's defensive fence illegal by a vote of 150-6. In defending Israel, America stood almost alone.

As you watch Kerry desperately lie and attempt to scare people into voting for him - cuz the Republicans want to draft the children and kill the old and Halliburton and wrong war and blurgleblah!!!, dontcha know? - in these ending days of "Pooch Screw 2004", ask yourself just how DOES he plan to bring the world "back to our side"? Who's gonna get sold out and who's going to pay the price for the UN/Kerry agenda of detroying Israel, America and anyone else who stands in the way of his Masters?

If you're one of the "we can't possibly do worse than Bush" people - think again.

I've wondered why the anti-war people are still gung-ho for Kerry as he's been yelling unconvincingly that he will track down and kill the terrorists wherever they are? Isn't he promising MORE WAR (albeit, a "smarter, more sensitive" war)? So, why aren't they fleeing to Nader or why didn't they support Kucinich? It's easy to understand when you know....

He's lying.

He can't be honest because to actually speak his true mind would result in a Mondale-sized whupping and the annihilation of the Democratic Party. Unfortunately for Team Kerry, he's got a 30 year history of subversion and collaborating with the enemy (do a Google on his dealings with the North Viet Namese and Nicaraguans) and a lengthy record of tasty quotes, like this one from the Washington Post (free reg required) :

Kerry's belief in working with allies runs so deep that he has maintained that the loss of American life can be better justified if it occurs in the course of a mission with international support. In 1994, discussing the possibility of U.S. troops being killed in Bosnia, he said, "If you mean dying in the course of the United Nations effort, yes, it is worth that. If you mean dying American troops unilaterally going in with some false presumption that we can affect the outcome, the answer is unequivocally no."

Y'all got that? The only worthy death for a soldier is in the service of the UN, NOT the USA.

And he wants to be the Commander-In-Chief of the United States Armed Forces?

Liberalism is founded on elitism and hypocricy and if you like those things, JFingK's your feckless crapweasel! If you believe, as Kerry does, that America is a brutish, evil, imperialist thug state and only those nice people in that building that looks like the Monolith in 2001: A Space Odyssey on the East River can be trusted to determine where and when Johhny Smith from Podunk, Flyover should meet his Maker, then by all means yank that Donkey lever and bask in your smugness.

And when L.A. gets nuked by a joint UN/Al Queda strike team, be sure to come back here so I can call you a stupid muthaf*cka, alright? Thank you.

MTV, Get Off The Air...NOW!!!

MTV's Rock The Vote campaign has been sold for a dozen years as a non-partisan outift solely interested in motivating young people to vote, though occasionally chinks in the veneer have happened like when Soundgarden yeowler Chris Cornell public broke with RTV because he felt it was just being used as "Rock The Democratic Vote". (Duh. Surprised?)

I posted earlier about how MTV was using phony draft notices to scare kids into supporting the Annointed One and I see that the California College Republicans are staging protests against these desperate scare tactics. A snip:

“MTV/Rock the Vote is misleading young voters through a campaign of fear that is intended to affect how people vote based on the false premise of a potential draft. Just like John Kerry, MTV/Rock the Vote is lying to my generation to scare us into submission, all the while dishonoring our troops by using their service as an instrument of fear,” said State Chairman of the California College Republicans Michael P. Davidson. “We’re going to take a stand, demand honesty, and let them know that it is our vote, not Viacom’s or MTV’s. We won’t let them dodge the facts to draft us in their cultural war.”

Odds of CBS News reporting this: Nil.

(How about revoking that tax-exempt status, too?)

Mommy Warbucks Sez: Teaching Ain't A Real Job!

Zsa Zsa Gabor-sounding, self-proclaimed saucy-African-American and professional Senator's wife, Teresa [I'm keeping my deceased husband's name to remind John that he's living off someone else's money - just like me] Kerry insulted a traditional Democrat herd group - the teacher's unions - by saying in a USA Today interview that Laura Bush hasn't had a real job.

Laura Bush worked as a public school teacher and librarian for 9 years.

Hillary Clinton may've been a scheming enabler who terrorized the White House staff and exploited her husband's weaknesses as a latter day Lady MacBeth to reap power for herself, but she wasn't THAT politically tone deaf as First Lady, was she?

UPDATE: Mommy Warbucks, probably feeling the harsh sting of the proletariat, issued a retraction:

"I had forgotten that Mrs. Bush had worked as a school teacher and librarian, and there couldn't be a more important job than teaching our children. As someone who has been both a full time mom and full time in workforce, I know we all have valuable experiences that shape who we are. I appreciate and honor Mrs. Bush's service to the country as First Lady, and am sincerely sorry I had not remembered her important work in the past."

I wonder how many lashes the whipping boy will get tonight for her having to enjoy a Crowburger?
=============
Note that unlike Dan Rather and the rest of the Lying Liars of the Mainstream Media, the blogosphere is pretty swift in correcting errors and providing updates as facts become known. It doesn't hurt, Dan. You should try a little Truth sometime.

Know your racist, drunk fashion status symbols.

Coming into the office today, I noticed that for "Jeans Day", one of the fashionista black girls was wearing an outfit emblazoned with Von Dutch logos. So what? Well, after reading this Orange County Weekly story, "Von Who?
What the kids don’t know about the racist alcoholic genius behind Von Dutch."
, it'll be interesting to see if she wears it again.

Maybe that former KKK recruiter, West Virginia Senator Robert Byrd, should start making logoware. That would allow people to forget all the minorities oppressed and murdered by his efforts and think of him more as the pork barreling tax guzzler he's infamous as being.

Oh, wait....

Where's Osama?

John F. (the F stands for "feckless crapweasel") Kerry has been yelping on and on about how Dubya "outsourced" the capture of Osama bin Hagar, but lost in the wind and media spin is one little detail: When's the last time we've REALLY seen or heard from him ALIVE?!?

Hmmm?

THE BELGRAVIA DISPATCH thinks he's dead and lays out a timeline of when tapes and videos have been released and theorizes about what it all means. Check it out - the click is free and the facts are important.

I've wondered about this myself. How hard would it be for ol' OBL to send a tape to al-Jazeera or CBS News (same difference) saying something like, "Yo, this is Osama bin Laden in da caveizzle! What up wit dat Van Helsing shizzle, dawg? Dat was some whack bullsheezy fo' shizzle!!! Death to America." so that we'd know he was still thinking about us infidels. I'm starting to feel a little dissed. Boo.

Buh-bye, Britney...

There was a time when Britney Spears filled a valuable need - to bring some meaningless joy back to music after a decade of groaning misery in the wake of miserable, self-absorbed killjoys like Nirvana and Pearl Jam. A couple of years back, you heard a lot about how "garage rock" was going to "save rock & roll" from Britney and the boy bands, but those people had it totally backwards: Britney and N*Sync saved music from Nirvana.

As she kept cranking out albums, the quality fell off noticably, sales suffered and nowadays our Lil' Louisiana Bayou Ho has busied herself with degrading the institution of marriage more than Barney Frank and Harvey Firestein could with a gift certificate to Muskie Bay Leather. She's got a Greatest Hits album coming soon....

...titled and burdened with a gawdawful cover of a song made famous by the Ike Turner-lite hsuband of another pop diva who threw it all away. (Guess you didn't really have it all, Whitney.) Speaking of gawdawful covers, WTF is THAT about?!?!? WTF is she wearing?!? Is that gorilla carcass or.....ugh....

After stealing away a father of two from some other poor woman, rumors abound that she's knocked up herself, especially after reading this post from her website:

Dear Fans,

I am going to start writing this column now as often as possible. The reason being is so I can talk directly to you, my fans, who have stuck by me & who continue to support me. Also, I'm not going to be as busy as my Mom. She's running behind my sister like crazy! I am also going to take some time off to enjoy life. I've actually learned to say "NO!" With this newly found freedom, its like people don't know how to act around me. Should we talk to her like we did when she was 16 or like the Icon everyone says she is? My prerogative right now is to just chill & let all of the other overexposed blondes on the cover of Us Weekly be your entertainment... GOOD LUCK GIRLS!! I'm sorry that my life seemed like it was all over the place the past 2 years, it's probably because IT WAS! I understand now what they mean when they talk about child stars. Going & going & going is all I've ever known since I was 15 years old. It's amazing what advisors will push you to do, even if it means taking a naive, young, blonde girl & putting her on the cover of every magazine.

I know now that my knee gave out on me this past summer so that I would have no choice but to stop. My body was shutting down and needed rest. It's funny how the Man upstairs works. Right now, I have to go-- I really want to watch "Saved" with Mandy Moore and re-runs of "Sex and the City." I want to enjoy all of the simple things that I missed over the past few years due to working way too much.

Being married is GREAT and I can't wait to start my family! There is so much change going on right now... not only with me, but in the world, as well. So, the next time you see my face, hear one of my songs or even if I'm the topic of your next conversation, please remember that times are changing & so am I.

Love always, Britney

P.S. I look forward to writing you all again soon. Kevin and I are finally able to take our Honeymoon!!

Feeling......woozy.......

Here's a better career move for her:

There's always a "Britney & X-tina vs. the Olson Twins Quad-Fisting Extravaganza" on pay-per-view if she needs to pay her man's child support bills or something.

One Heartbeat Away....

That's what they describe the Vice-President as being - the man one heartbeat away from the leadership of the Free World. The #2 guy is presumably able to take charge if some harm were to befall the President. Even the most rabid Dubya haters have to admit that Darth...er...Dick Cheney could easily take over the reins of power and knock some Third World hellholes further back into the Stone Age if need be.

Dan Quayle was the first of the Boy Veeps, but this year, phony war hero and gold-digging gay-baiter John Kerry has chosen as his sidekick a true Boy Wonder, the still damp-looking and thoroughly disingenuous Johnny "Breck Girl" Edwards". How vain is this twerp? Check out this terrifying five minutes of pretty boy narcissim as Edwards gets primped up for a trip to a McDonald's Playland in some battleground state.

SNL/Simpsons/Spinal Tap wacky guy Harry Shearer - no friend of non-liberals - has these comments about the clip:

"For a guy who's been known derisively to the Bush crowd as the Breck girl," observes Shearer, vice presidential candidate John Edwards seems "way too interested in his hair." He tries to straighten it with his fingers. A makeup technician approaches with a comb, but the senator likes it just so and does the combing himself. He signals he's ready for hair spray by closing his eyes expectantly, like a child. Then Edwards and the technician straighten a little more with their fingers. Please don't tell me that thing in his hand is a compact. Oh, dear. It is."

And this is what a guy who's probably voting for Team Feckless Crapweasel has to say!

So, when you take your Michael Moore-brainwashed husk down to the voting place to cast your 10 or 20 ballots - you are planning on participating in the Great Democratic Vote Fraud of 2004, aren't ya? - for Anbody-But-Bush, ask yourself what's gonna happen if/when Big John falls off his $8,000 bike or drowns windsurfing?

UPDATE!!! Some guys have taken a song from John Kerry's old band (he played bass - how proletarian!) in the 60's and looped it over the makeup video. It's slightly cute for a couple of minutes.

A pal sent me this and I am doing my karmic duty and am passing the joy on to you. Check out Fametracker :: The Farmer's Almanac of Celebrity Worth for such tidbits such as:

The Fame Audit -
For starters, let's talk about shortening it to "Jim." And, seriously, buy a comb.

...and...

Hey! It's That Guy! - Dennis Farina doesn't have time for your crap, so he's either going to throw you in the holding cell while you cool down, or kill you and leave you in a ditch.

"Team America": Not Pretty, But Pretty Funny

Swamped here at work and thus lack the proper goof-off time to tap out my own Team America "DIRK™ Reviews It For You" review, but while you're waiting, check out this goodie at the Independent Women's Forum which sums it up well. The punchline:

So, yes, "Team America: World Police" is tasteless. It’s cruel. It’s boorish. It’s merciless. It’s stupid and predictable of plot, and it violates all canons of politeness, beauty, decency, good taste, graciousness, and fairness. It’s not for your mother or your grandmother or your children or your clergyperson. It’s probably not even a very good movie. It’s...oh, just screamingly funny.

Oh, the horror....the....horror.....

The Voluptuous Horror of Morgan Webb

Just to show that it's not all nihlistic doom and gloom and Star Wars geekdom around these parts, I'd like to comment on the sad state of geek television and the whoring of TechTV geek babes, Cat Schwartz and Morgan Webb.

Once upon a time, there was a channel on DirectTV called ZDTV. It was an offshoot of Ziff-Davis, the publishers of PC Magazine. It was a little low-rent and cable-access-ish at times, but for wireheads like moi, it was pretty cool. (Another pseudo-channel was C|Net on, I believe Sci-Fi Channel - that's where I first saw Half-Life.) They had a shows like "Gamespot TV" (based on the game site) , "Silicon Spin" w/John C. (C is for Cranky) Dvorak and the original "Screen Savers" with Leo LaPorte and Kate Botello. "Amaze yourself" was their slogan and I even designed a desktop for them to show on-air in 1999:

After a couple of years, they changed the name to TechTV and the shows evolved for better and worse. "Gamespot TV" became "Extended Play" and eventually "X-Play"; Screen Savers shed Kate (sent to languish on Extended Play and then exiled) and picked up tubby Patrick Norton and a crew of Gen Y-ers that I suppose was meant to keep the vibe hippenwiddet. Among the sidekicks was Morgan Webb, who at the time was sporting blonde hair and weirdly low boobs:

Hermione used to always comment about how her breasts sat in the middle of her chest. Whatever. Chicks are catty like that.

As time went on, her hair started getting darker:

No problem, but as she crossed over to "X-Play", she seemed to let it all go to hell with stringy black hair and becoming more rectangular to the point that Herm started calling her the "Goth lesbian". (Saucer of milk for one - pick it up!)

Over the summer, suddenly word came that Comcast - owners of whack-ass gamer channel G4 - was buying TechTV and damn near everyone was getting sacked. Across the Interweb, message boards filled with worry about the fates of everyone's fave hosts and shows. Months of reruns filled the airwaves and it seems like they're still trying to get production up to speed as year-old games are being reviewed on the old sets. The vast majority of G4 shows are hosted by young, annoying twits who remind me too much of Riley from Buffy TVS. Production values suck and the whole vibe is kindergarten compared to the glory days of TechTV.

Anyhoo..."Unscrewed with Martin Sargent" and hottie sidekick Laura Swisher seem the same, but I caught the new Screen Savers and IT SUCKS!!!!!!! OMFG, IT'S UNWATCHABLE!!!! Anyone out there who has the ear of GeeWeF*ckedUpTechTV muckymucks needs to let them know that they've pooched it royally!!!

Leo? Gone. Fat Patrick? Gone! In there place are old sidekicks Kevin Rose and his girlfriend Sarah Somethingwhocaresshe'sannoying. Girlfriend?!?! Who leaves the show when that couple breaks up? They also added some screaming Mimi guy who you'd swear was too ghey for Will & Grace, but that's not the problem, his problem is that HE SUCKS!!!! The first time I saw this debacle, they nattered on like bozos for 15 minutes before answering a call - in fact, Call For Help didn't survive the merger - and the other times I've peeked in, it's been insufferable. About all that's left to watch is Unscrewed and X-Play.

Which brings us back to Morgan. On a recent episode of X-Play, I noticed that she was looking a bit less rectangular and with a bit of nosing around, discovered why

That's right, kiddies! Morgan's not just a geek girl, former programmer and TV host. Nonononono....she's a BIMBO in a lad mag!!!! Woohoo!!!!

Puh-leeze....

Cruise over to the FHM site and check out her cagey self-exploitation and demeanal. (Is that a word?) Momma would be so proud.

What about Cat? Well, she's not much better as she's now doing a "Sex and the Geek Girl " type column in Stuff lad mag and it's too cloying for words. (For kicks, do a Google on "cat schwartz nude" and see what comes up and the story behind it. Heh.)

Enough trivial ranting for now. Tomorrow: Back to the gloom and doom! (Or maybe not. We'll see, won't we?)

From the Chainlettersphere...

This is one of those photos that gets sent around by older people with a thousand "Fwd: Fw:" addresses clogging the top, but it gave me a bit of a snicker:

After watching UN Crime Lord Kofi Anan slagging the US on British TV, flat out lying about Iraq bribing our "allies" Russia, Germany and France to stab us in the back, I've got to say that one of the few things Dubya has done right was rip the mask off the our phony friends and that club of despots and thugs that exists upon the East River in NYC. They should pack it up and move it to Brussels or some other place where they can hate us on their own soil, ya dig?

BTW: "Team America" RAWKED. Review forthcoming....

Stuff & Nonsense - Fri. Oct. 15th Edition

Too busy to frame these into individual posts, but all are required reading for those interested in thinking for themselves.

First up, Catherine Seipp wonders Why should we want lazy idiots to vote? A snip:

In Hollywood, we're used to this sort of thing. Once I was sitting next to a TV producer at some function, listening to an actor at the dais go on and on, when the producer reached over and wrote on my notepad: "Actor minus script equals incoherence." "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, whose movie "Team America: World Police" opens today, are equally cynical about celebrity political opining.

Commenting to Rolling Stone on the Vote or Die effort, Mr. Parker said sarcastically: "Hey, 19-year-old who doesn't know anything--you choose!" Mr. Stone had this to say about the voter-effect of "Team America": "If anyone walks out of this movie, or a Michael Moore movie, thinking about voting a certain way, then they're . . . stupid and shouldn't be voting." Such comments brought the pair an angry letter from Sean Penn (the puppet version of whom is in "Team America").

Next stop, the Denver Post telling Unregistered voters, rejoice, because...

How to cheat on Election Day:

Mail in your absentee ballot.

Show up at your precinct and ask for a new ballot. Do it early. It's going to be a long day.

(Haven't registered? Don't fret; as long as you sincerely promise you meant to, Secretary of State Donetta Davidson will believe you.)

Vote. Repeat in as many precincts as possible.

Outrageous? You bet. Will you get away with it? Probably not, as provisional ballots will be double-checked.

But this scenario will surely play out all over the state as vacant cries of "disenfranchisement" have finally intimidated Davidson into mandating a post-election mess.

From fraud-riddled voter drives, which have turned up thousands of questionable voter registration forms already, to the 6,000 felons who somehow ended up on the voter rolls, anyone who envisions a smooth election should be mortified.

But couple a wobbly-kneed secretary of state with a pending lawsuit filed by Common Cause that would relax the restrictions on provisional voting further, and we're all going to have quite a post- election party.

"I know that people want to disrupt the election process," explains Robert Balink, El Paso County clerk and recorder. "They want to throw it to the courts; they want the judges to make decisions to determine the outcome of certain elections."

If that doesn't get your cynicism going, how about the MTV Rock The Vote homepage which features a Photoshopped "Draft Notice" in the MSM's continuing Big Lie campaign to scare ignorant young folk into voting for their Chosen Candidate out of fear of something that isn't going to happen. In fact, kids in major American cities are more likely to be killed in the terror attacks that will follow a Kerry Inauguration than being conscripted and sent overseas. (I guess the M now stands for "Moore".)

There's more to come as the Election gets nearer and the Democrats get more and more extreme - if that was even possible - in their fear jihad. Yuck.

In the meantime, go see Team America: World Police and have some fun and let the satire open your eyes to just how ridiculous things have gotten.

Mulling the Pending Death of Our Republic

Sometime next week I hope to start detailing my thoughts about the upcoming Election. For what is going to be one of the most important events in the history of Western Civilization, it's rather disheartening to know that the next four years are going to be spent dealing with either a guy who's made so many mistakes that he's disqualified himself from even garnering my vote as an anti-opponent stopgap and an absolute tool whose only qualification is that he isn't the current jobholder and would be immeasurably worse as a President than what we've got now.

Or, in clear English: Dubya is pretty useless, but Kerry sucks so hard, he bends light.

If you've paid any attention to the MSM (mainstream media), you've been inundated with about 5 years of unbroken jihad against Dubya, starting with the 2000 campaign (when the Annointed Candidate was Al "airbrush me a package" Gore) and a "third Clinton term" was the goal of the MSM. Michael Moore has been transformed into some sort of Liberal Porn Messiah for his fraudulent tracts (which has been thoroughly debunked, not that anyone seems to care - scroll down for the link) and efforts to smear Dubya - efforts that seem to have taken hold with too many people.

You see, I'm kinda old-fashioned in that I was raised to believe that there was something called TRUTH that is an accurate reflection of what things actually are, not what people wish them to be. But for some reason, as MC 900 Foot Jesus once said, "The Truth Is Out of Style" and the article "It's How You Play the Game" over at VodkaPundit states and some of the brilliant comments reaffirm, if John Kerry is elected, it will be more than a victory for the terrorists, it will be a proof that Truth has been killed dead on the Altar of Powerlust in the Temples of the Democratic Party and the Mainstream Media.

Some relevant snips are below, but read it all for yourselves:

If Drudge has it right, then the Kerry-Edwards campaign is going to do its damnedest to turn our fine nation into a banana republic.

To these guys, winning office is more important than the sanctity of elections. Holding power is more important than the Constitution. Much as I despise at least half of what most Republicans stand for, they don't seem nearly as willing to trash the system they're trying to run. Too many Democrats, especially at the national level, just don't care that our system, our nation is far more important than any single election.

I could mention the Lautenberg Trick in New Jersey. Or Gore's ballot shenanigans in Florida. Or the voter-registration fraud currently going on in Colorado, Nevada, and elsewhere. Or the Democrats' successful call to bring election observers into this country. Bring them in from where, Venezuela? Hey, no big deal sullying the reputation of the world's oldest continuously-functioning democracy, just so long as we can make the Republicans look bad, right?

The rules don't matter. The reputation of the country doesn't matter. The political health of the nation doesn't matter. Power matters.

I don't mean to say that Republicans haven't used dirty tricks, or won't in the future. But I have yet to see them pull anything as crass as replacing a losing candidate with a more-popular one just weeks before election day, and in violation of state law. I have yet to see Republicans calling on the world's most corrupt international organization, run largely by apparatchiks from the world's most brutal dictatorships, to pass judgment on how we run our elections. I have yet to see the Republicans encouraging their own to commit fraud by shouting "Fraud!" where none yet exists, putting at risk everything we've built here in the last 228 years.

Because, in the end, that's what the national Democrats are doing: They're trying, however inadvertently, to destroy the Republic in order to rule it.

Now, I know this is an angry essay. However, I don't mean to imply that all Democrats are evil and all Republicans are sweetness and light. Far from it. But for the first time in 16 years, I'm going to vote Republican straight down the line. If I have to punish a couple of local Democrats I'm fond of, then so be it, but I have to try to get a point across: The national Democratic Party is bad for this country.

I don't say that because of their policies, which I probably agree with more than I do the Republicans. But because their tactics would cause more harm to this country than the Federal Marriage Amendment, the Republican budget deficit, and Congress's corporate tax giveaways, combined.

I'm just one guy; I don't expect my vote to mean much. But the Democrats are willing to treat – in advance - my vote, and all it represents, with feigned contempt. So I can't, in return, treat the Democrats with anything less than genuine contempt.

As if that wasn't harsh enough, dig these comments:

How do I know the Dems are losing? Because they are working so hard to delegitimatize the results, even before its happened. you dont do that if you are winning, becasue you shoot your self in the foot. If Kerry "wins" he still has to govern. Hows he going to do that if they win be delegitimatizing the vote? Do the dems think if they win the presidency that Kerry is kind and rule by edict? The President works for us, no matter who he is. Congress exists for the purpose of tying the president down as to keep him from his desires.

None of that changes if Kerry is elected. But if the Dems keep trying to destroy democracy, it wont matter who is president. The country will become ungovernable, no matter who is in charge.

They way the dems are playing it tells me that they already know whats about to happen. and its not going to be good for the dems.

I concur with your assessment Doctor Green. I am a republican who deeply wants there to be two parties in the US, but I want both parties to be on the side of the US. We need the democrats to keep us honest, but we need them to be on our side. America first, party second.

It reminds me if when you are beating your older brother in chess, and he just flips the board over rather than cede that hes losing.

This is a big deal. From the day I was born, I had always thought the USA was infalliable. We were different, better, invincible. During the 2000 election, I saw the line where that all turns into chaos and it was a scary thing. I saw it again on 9/11, and have been ever since, especially as the election heats up.

I don't especially fear John Kerry, but I fear a John Kerry victory...especially since any scenario in which he wins will be a very close and contested election. A John Kerry victory validates everything that the Democrats have done since Election Day 2000.

It validates a media completely in the bag for the Democratic Party and means objective journalism is dead and buried.

It means that Hollywood will become a liberal propaganda machine, giving us Farenheit 9/11-like movies before every election and a travelling troupe of celebrities to brainwash teenagers into thinking and voting liberal.

It will mean tampering with elections and election law is fair game. Break ins, intimidation, vote fraud, and demagoguery will become the norm. The courts will become an active part of the election process with judges arbitrating and deciding elections, in some cases removing the voter from the process entirely.

The truth will become just another campaign tool, as the media and Democrats just see it as a means to be manipulated and ignored as needed in order to achieve their desired outcome.

That's the world we're going to live in if John Kerry wins. That's why Bush *has* to win, and why the Democrats and the liberal media have to be convinced that such tactics won't get them back in power. Add that to the stark ideological differences between Bush and Kerry, and this is hands down the most important election we've had since 1980, if not since the end of WWII.

Debate Notes From the Blogosphere II

Funny comment on punditguy: Post Debate Reaction's post:

"Bob Schieffer was a disgrace as a moderator. He threw Kerry softball after softball and the Senator still stumbled. Here is my take.

Moderator: Senator Kerry; Do you have any cats?

Kerry: Yes Bob; and when I'm President I have a plan to save every stray kitten and rescue it from the cruel policies of this President where stray kittens are rounded up by John Ashcroft and Halliburton to be euthanized and ground into oil for his rich buddies down in Texas.

President: Stray cats are the responsibility of the ASPCA and are not a source of oil.

Moderator: President Bush; Why do you kill kittens and why don't they have flu shots?

President: Cats don't need flu shots and I've never been cruel to cats or any other animal for that matter.

Kerry: I have a plan where all cats will have flu shots. I was an altar boy and that's why I'll save kittens and protect a womans right to choose the disposal of her fetus and adoption a cat."

Sorry for the layoff...

When I started Dirkworld, I had plenty of time to expound endlessly on various stuff and nonsense, but the Powers That Be - you know, the folks who give Cordelia the headaches on "Angel" (note: we're only on the first season of the DVDs) - have seen to it that I've been too busy to adequately fill these pages, but please bear with me as I get dug out and enjoy this take on the 3rd Presidential Debate from Protein Wisdom:

John Kerry: “Whatever you need, it’s yours. Need a job? You got it. Need a higher living wage? Done. Need cheap, universal healthcare? I’m your man. Need a better education? have at it, paid in full. Relying on social security for your retirement? I’ll put it in a lock box. Tax relief? I can give you that, too. Want to lose your virginity to a teenage Mexicali hooker and a donkey? I’ll print coupons. And the best part is, every single one of my plans comes with free cole slaw and a plate of homestyle biscuits!”

George Bush: “Anybody who believes this guy can deliver on even one percent of his promises deserves four years of John F’n Kerry. God bless, and good night.”

Don't for get to check back, y'all. :)

Irrelevant Pop Stars Unite Against Bush

As usual, The Onion f-ing RULES!!! A snip:

Concert organizers said the show, with its extraordinary lineup of soft-rock artists, is getting a boost in ticket sales from an unexpected demographic. John Linner of Orlando, FL is one of the tens of thousands of registered Republicans planning to attend a Vote For Change concert.

"It's going to be kind of annoying, with all the liberal bullshit between sets, but I can't imagine missing this kind of line-up," Linner said. "R.E.M. is a little weird, except for that one song, 'Shiny Happy People.' But how many times do you get a chance to see a tour that has Springsteen AND John Fogerty?"

"Contrary to what many people think, rock artists want to be involved," Rock Against Bush publicist Donna Wolff said. "While some of the musicians billed on our tour can't even name the U.S Secretary of Health and Human Services, or list more than two Bush policies they oppose, they all know the difference between right and wrong."

War, Lies, and Videotape: A Viewer’s Guide to Fahrenheit 9/11

While checking out at Beast Buy this afternoon, I noticed that two people ahead of me were buying Michael "Tubby Riefenstahl" Moore's latest hunk of deceptive propaganda on DVD and a couple of others were picking up Disney's "Aladdin", causing me to muse to myself, "People are certainly into fantasy these days. Too bad they only think of Aladdin as the work of fiction"

Pointing out that Moore is a nefarious liar is like pointing out that he's fat, yet has his posters airbrushed to make him look less fat: Obvious to anyone with eyes, ears and a mind, yet not important to those who worship him. While playing the faux-populist, he raked in over $140 million by serving a stew of wishful thinking, conspiracy theories and old-fashioned character assassination to a audience of bitter liberals and the curious who unfortunately weren't very well warned what codswallop was being foisted on them.

The argument his defenders often used was, "If it's untrue, why hasn't anyone sued? A-ha! It must be true then!" As many sites in the blogosphere detailed then, not that anyone paid attention, Moore carefully used innuendo and tricky editing to create untruths that weren't outright lies.

If you saw his tract and/or are planning on renting it, do yourself a favor and have the detailed rebuttal available at the link above handy to see just how uncut-and-undried Moore's fantasy film is. I've got my own lengthy list of reasons I'm not voting for Dubya, but if you vote for Kerry based on what Moore shows and tells you, you're ripe to buy bridges over the East River and swamp land in Florida. In fact, why not just send me all your money now and I'll promise to buy something cool with it and not use it on drugs, like the other swindlers would do to you.

Also get the Report of the 9/11 Commission to see for yourself what was discovered instead of letting others tell you what they want you to believe. It's amazing that people are paying $16 to Moore to be lied to but aren't interested in getting the facts FOR FREE! What the f*ck is that about?!?

Bottom line: You can't call yourself informed with only one, slanted side to the story. EDUCATE YOURSELVES! Informed people can differ but when the Left is operating on power-lust, hatred and lies and refuses to allow open examinations of their claims, it's useless to discuss anything.

Don't forget to watch the veep debate between John "Breck Girl" Edwards and Dick "Lord of Darkness" Cheney tonight.

Star Wars/Lucas Hating Ep. MMIV - The Whining Doesn't Stop

The parade of whining crybabies whose inner children must be on a metaphysical milk carton somewhere are filling their diapers some more over the Star Wars DVDs and the intransigence of George Lucas to yield to their demands to keep things the way THEY like it and not the way HE wants them. I wonder if they'd like it if someone who was two grades behind them in school showed up on their doorsteps and demanded that they dump Veronica and get back with Caitlin, just because they thought they were a cuter couple, nevermind that Caitlin was vile to them? Didn't think so. But, they've got no problem with spewing forth nonsense like "Pray He Doesn't Alter Them Any Further . . . - Why the Star Wars DVDs are bunk and George Lucas has destroyed his own mythology." and the feeble non-counterpoint " .. . So Be It, Jedi - Why George Lucas has every right to alter his films, and why we have every right to be mad at him for doing so."

The first piece stakes half of it's arguments on what it says are inconsistencies in the timelines and mythology when EPISODE THREE IS STILL EIGHT MONTHS AWAY!!! Without ALL of the dots, you can't complain that they don't connect. To a child ten years from now, it'll probably make sense - these asstacklers need to get a life...NOW!

Debate this!

No time for love, Dr. Jones....and no time to rehash the 1st Prez Debate that went down earlier this evening at the moment, so suffice to say that Kerry did better, but that was due to the sad fact that Dubya is too inarticulate to make his case in these dangerous times. More later....

What I REALLY want to know is WTF is up with THIS?!?

See the problem? I've been noticing a LOT of photos of models and celebs in this pose, LOOKING LIKE THEY'RE TAKING A DUMP IN HIGH HEELS!!! Not. Hot. At. All.

Maybe the terrorists have won....
