The TM insists on using the euphamism "a women's right to choose" to describe abortion, the unholy sacrament of the fascist Left. So enthralled with the Culture of Death - that they uncoincidentally share with the Islamofascists - but too cowardly to announceth their unbridled enthusiasm for infanticide, they use this worthless term (Choose? Choose what? The soup or salad?) to disguise their anti-human rhetoric.
Anyhoo, over at Power Line, they cover a story run in the NY Times Magazine last spring that purported to reveal the lousy conditions for women in El Salvador including a woman who supposedly got a 30-year prison sentence for having an abortion. Problem with this tale of woe is that it's not true - the baby was born and then murdered leading to a conviction for aggravated homicide.
Facts are funny things and while it's nice the the Times is willing to cop to the inconvenient truth that the facts don't support the article, they have no intention of correcting the story. That's right, it's fake AND innacurate, but will be left as it stands because....well, because the TM and their flagship the Times don't care about the Truth; not when it stands in the way of their advancing their agenda of fascism and the Culture of Death. As Power Line concludes:
The fundamental point, however, is more basic: the Times misreported a critical fact in a cover story in its magazine, and refuses to make a correction even after the error has been called to its attention. When it comes to abortion, it is more important--for the Times, anyway--to be on the "right" side than it is to be right.
UPDATE: The Corner's Andy McCarthy - he a former Federal prosecuter who handled the first WTC bombing in '93 - reports that the Times flat-out lies in today's front page article about what's happening to enem combatants.
The NY Times should change their slogan to, "All The Sh*t Which Fits Our Agenda, We Print."
Narrowing down the 2006 edition of the Top Ten Lowlights of The New York Times to a mere ten entries was a tough task –the paper provided such a wealth of biased behavior throughout the year, from reporters throwing national security secrets onto the front page to publishers going on liberal rants at graduation ceremonies. But we’ve managed to whittle down the worst from another liberally slanted year from the New York Times, and here is the rundown, in ascending order of gruesomeness.
Check out what made fascist liberals happy this year.
Getting geeky again, but only because I've got a pair of these X-Fi cards - an Xtreme Music and Fatal1ty uber version - and while I haven't experienced any problems, I agree that Creative needs to get their act together, as the last graf of this NGOHQ investigation:
In addition, their X-Fi prices are extremely overpriced and unattractive. Why would anyone pay so much to buy some product that doesn’t even have SPDIF/DDL outputs? So, instead of making front panels, ridiculous Fatal1ty marketing, they should do something useful and smart. Anyway, if Creative Labs will start making these changes I mentioned they might have a chance and convince us to stop using the onboard Realtek audio, and to buy their products. Creative has to make changes and shake the entire company if they wish to impress us. Instead of blaming other manufacturers and DDR Dual Channel and IRQ Sharing, they should investigate research and make changes because they are the ones selling the cards, not the others. Blaming others is not helping. They should take action themselves. Until then, if anyone asks me what I think about X-Fi, I will simply say, "Crap, it isn’t worth your money."
The implementation of the hardware on the Music version was disappointing because there was no way to attach the wires for the case-mounted mic and headphones jacks. I found a German message board that had the pin assignments and photos of how to rig it, but I couldn't get things to stick properly and it was an unsupported method. When the Fatal1ty cards, which come with the drive bay interfaces, were being cleared out at a reasonable $140 (AR) price, I got one even though my case door is full-height, meaning when I wear my headphones, the bottom of the door interferes with my chair.
Surround headphone audio was one of the big bullet points of the X-Fi, but the lack of connection options for non-drive equipped cards is pathetic. If you have speakers - and who doesn't? - you can't hook those up AND headphones; it's either or and that sucks. While the effect isn't as clear as discrete 5.1 surround speakers, it's still really good and helps in games like BF2142 when someone is trying to sneak up on you. (I've ambushed and knifed guys who I can't believe didn't hear me coming.) It also allows me to play at 2 am without bugging the neighbors, who have complained to management over me playing Quake 4 at 6 pm, not that loud. Losers.
I've mentioned before about the incurable arrogance of Linux geeks and how they're the suicide bombers of geekdom. (Apple worshippers are merely sad cultists.) For a primo example of the blind anti-Microsoft lunacy that animate them, check out this item and comments from BadVista.org, a site put up by the Free Software Foundation.
While I sympathize with the concerns about the overwhelming dominance that Microsoft has in the PC market, to cast them in terms of such sheer evil and to act as if switching to hard-for-even-geeks-to-manage Linux alternatives is counter-productive. People like the applications, like GAMES, that run on Windows and the fact that the majority of peripheral hardware doesn't work under Linux is a deal-breaker, but to the Linux jihadists, that's just proof of the evil of M$'s dominance and blah-blah-woof-woof.
The violent and condescending rhetoric of the "free software" anarchists is similar to the violent and condescending rhetoric of the fascist Left: If you don't follow them, you're an idiot who needs to die for their cause. Nice. But not very effective in converting people to the cause.
The failure of the Zune and the slow drift toward using Firefox and other alternatives is showing that building a better mousetrap is the way to get people to change than sneering and bullying people if they don't buy into your lunacy.
Plenty, as the drumbeat of character assassination and religious smearing against someone who hasn't announced his candidency has shown. The latest is this Huffandpuff Post turd pile, "Mitt Romney: Coward Or Racist?" Romney was term-limited out, but the Treason Media and the unhinged fascist moonbats are furiously trying to spin this as a crushing defeat for Romney. (Uh...how do you defeat someone who wasn't in the race?)
James Boyce flat out lies and says that this is "Republican hypocrisy" and then closes with:
just maybe, Mitt The Wannabe Wingnut doesn't want to have his picture in the paper to be used against him shaking hands with, of all things, a black man.
That just won't play well in some parts of the country will it Mitt? Gee, if you had stayed out West and been Governor of Utah, this probably wouldn't have happened.
So Mitt, here's the way I see it. It's December 22. Plenty of time to move some things around and actually be around on January 4th. If you show and shake Deval's hand, I'll write a retraction right here.
If you don't, I'll put you down for a coward. And a racist. Seems fair to me.
I wasn't even aware that Patrick was black, but then again, I'm not a race-obsessed racist like the majority of the fascist Left who see nothing but skin color and use that to divide and exploit the people.
By tradition in Massachusetts, the departing Governor NEVER attends the inaugural swearing-in of his successor. The two meet in the Governor's office, exchange some symbols of office, and then the outgoing Governor leaves the building via the front doors for his "long walk" down the steps. At the same time, the incoming Governor is escorted to the House chamber for his swearing in.
Because Deval Patrick wanted to hold an outdoor swearing-in on the front steps, it was not possible to do the "long walk" at the same time. For that reason, Governor Romney magnanimously offered to do the exchange of symbols and the long walk the previous evening in order to accommodate Deval Patrick's change in the swearing-in.
If Romney had demanded that tradition be observed, he would've been crucified as a racist sore loser, but by going along with Patrick's departure from tradition, he is still being crucified as a racist sore loser by the lying fascists of the Left. Nice how that works, eh?
I wonder if Boyce will print his promised retraction? Heh, just kidding. I know he won't. The fascist Left NEVER allows inconvenient truths get in the way of their totalitarian agendas.
Romney has the Left scared. Bad. They're already showing signs of Romney Derangement Syndrome. Hmmmm...could there actually be something good for America in this guy?
Michelle Malkin has some depressing stories about how aid to Indonesia after the tsunamis two years ago has been used by the local Islamofascists to impose sharia upon the women of the area. Other items there also discuss the medieval treatment women living under Islam faces.
It's interesting that in a world where sharia enslaves women, the fascist Left attacks the Catholic Church for not ordaining women priests; and where sharia murders gays, the fascist Left attacks Dubya for opposing gay marriage. So obsessed with destroying Dubya and humbling America are these unhinged liberals, they fail to realize that their sacred right to abortion and tolerance for homosexuality will be the first casualties when they are forced into dhimmitude before the sword of Islam.
The merry pranksters at Pitchfork Media have tossed up a feature of what they think are the worst album covers and while I don't think they're all that bad and the comments are that funny, I know these guys, so check it out.
Reyes stumbled when I asked him a simple question about al Qaeda at the end of a 40-minute interview in his office last week. Members of the Intelligence Committee, mind you, are paid $165,200 a year to know more than basic facts about our foes in the Middle East.
We warmed up with a long discussion about intelligence issues and Iraq. And then we veered into terrorism’s major players.
To me, it’s like asking about Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland: Who’s on what side?
The dialogue went like this:
Al Qaeda is what, I asked, Sunni or Shia?
“Al Qaeda, they have both,” Reyes said. “You’re talking about predominately?”
“Sure,” I said, not knowing what else to say.
“Predominantly — probably Shiite,” he ventured.
He couldn’t have been more wrong.
Al Qaeda is profoundly Sunni. If a Shiite showed up at an al Qaeda club house, they’d slice off his head and use it for a soccer ball.
That’s because the extremist Sunnis who make up al Qaeda consider all Shiites to be heretics.
Al Qaeda’s Sunni roots account for its very existence. Osama bin Laden and his followers believe the Saudi Royal family besmirched the true faith through their corruption and alliance with the United States, particularly allowing U.S. troops on Saudi soil.
It’s been five years since these Muslim extremists flew hijacked airliners into the World Trade Center.
Is it too much to ask that our intelligence overseers know who they are?
The reason why I found this amusing is that an anonymous coward has been heckling me (what's new?) in the comments section and made a big deal as to whether I knew who the players in the Iraqi insurgency were. I wonder what this poor fool is going to do when he sees that while he's busy attacking a lowly lil' blogger, the topmost officials of his party couldn't pass the same test he's making a big deal about here? Heh.
The Jedi-haiting John Podhoretz shouldn't be allowed to review movies, but he's still sharp on politics and he speaks some inconvenient truths which will be old news to regular Dirkworld® readers, namely, you can't win a kinder, gentler war. (Duh.) Some clips:
[W]e relented on several occasions when we had a chance to score a major victory over the bad guys. Because politics was more important than military victory, because playing the game was more important than killing the enemy, we chose to lose.
After the beheading of Americans in Fallujah, we had the city surrounded - but, because it seemed an attack on Fallujah would be problematic for Iraqi politics, we pulled back. We had the Shiite monster Moqtada al-Sadr in our sights as well, but let him go as well for fear Iraq's leading Shiite cleric would turn on us.
Each of these decisions seemed prudent at the time. In retrospect, they seem disastrous. Our failure to take Fallujah after the deaths of Americans gave the enemy the sense that we were weak. Our failure to kill Sadr has led to a situation in which he has excessive power over the elected government.
[snip]
So we need a new plan. But the Baker-Hamilton advice isn't a new plan. The Democrats don't have a new plan. The only plan that will work is a plan to face the tripartite enemy - the Saddamists, the foreign terrorists and the Shiite sectarians - and bring them to heel.
Kill as many bad guys as we can, with as many troops as we can muster.
If this is unrealistic, then Iraq is lost.
If we can't win, then we lose.
Political change doesn't win wars. That's what we've learned, painfully and horribly. Only winning wars wins wars.
President Bush needs to decide, as soon as possible, that he is going to win this war - that the bad guys are going to die, that we are going to kill them and that we will achieve our objectives in Iraq. That is the only way forward for him if he doesn't want to end up in ignominy.
The clock is ticking. He has only a week, maybe two, to change course dramatically. To choose to win, and to direct the military to do so.
Or we are sunk, and so is he.
Again, duh. The problem is that seeing as Dubya doesn't seem interested in shutting down a Treason Media addicted to aiding and abetting our enemies and revealing our secrets, he's unlikely to suddenly grow a pair and fight the war we've never had.
I'm on record as being smitten with the talent and physical charms of Scarlett Johansson...
...but it's gotten difficult to ignore the lousy liberal idiocy that never ceases to spew from her pretty mouth. (See two posts down her quote in Mark Steyn's column.) Yeah, she comes from NYC liberal stock and she works in Hollyweird, where feality to the fascist tropes of the ultra-rich Leftists must be sworn, but when such utterly ignorant garbage is uttered, it really squelches my boner just as badly if she were a bimbo of the Anna Nicole Smith stripe.
First a news item from the Land of the Religion of Peace, via Powerline:
Who's the Enemy?
Many liberals say it's Bushitler. Of course, they can say that without fear of being drawn and quartered. As can happen to those who cross our real enemy in places like Afghanistan:
The gunmen came at night to drag Mohammed Halim away from his home, in front of his crying children and his wife begging for mercy.
The 46-year-old schoolteacher tried to reassure his family that he would return safely. But his life was over, he was part-disembowelled and then torn apart with his arms and legs tied to motorbikes, the remains put on display as a warning to others against defying Taliban orders to stop educating girls.
These people are evil incarnate. It is disturbing that so many Americans have apparently lost interest in fighting them.
Now here's what Scarlett had to say about Dubya and his pro-life beliefs.
We're supposed to be liberated in America but if our president had his way, we wouldn't be educated about sex at all,” Scarlett says. "Every woman would have six children and we wouldn't be able to have abortions," she adds.
Yeesh...
She does realize that the fact that she's able to spout such banalities is due to the fact that Dubya has made a half-assed stand against the Islamofacists who would put her in a bhurka and make her pop out a dozen lil' jihadists, doesn't she? (Of course, she does date Josh Hartnett, so the news that she may be a moron shouldn't be so surprising, but come on.)
Looks like I'm down to Anne Hathaway. I hope she's not stupid, too.
What do a 64-year-old suicide bomber, and Episcopalian Bishop, Scarlett Johansson and Condoleeza Rice have in common? The brilliant Mark Steyn explains and it's pretty depressing stuff. The punchline:
So many of our present woes are due to thinking we know things. To our four Jills in the jeep, let's add one Jim, apparently back at the steering wheel in the current war: James Baker, renowned foreign policy "realist" and the man Beltway wags are currently referring to as "the acting secretary of state." The "realists" think that "containment" and "stability" are wise strategies. In fact, they're the absence of strategy. The fertility rate in the Gaza Strip is one of the highest on earth. If you measure the births of the Muslim world against the dearth of Bishop Kate's Episcopalians, you have the perfect snapshot of why there is no "stability": With every passing month, there are more Muslims and fewer Episcopalians, and the Muslims export their manpower to Europe and other depopulating outposts of the West. It's the intersection of demography and Islamism that makes time a luxury we can't afford.
We can argue about exactly what this trend means, but not that it means nothing. At the very minimum, I'd suggest, it means the Episcopal Church is irrelevant to "the stewardship of the earth" and that Scarlett Johansson will end her days on an earth whose stewards regard being tested for HIV twice as a sign of many things, but not, on the whole, "social awareness."
Definitely read it all and see how Western society is slowly commiting suicide due to its collective unwillingness to see the threat it faces. That Scarlett is a beautiful idiot is no surprise - not many conservatives are allowed to have careers in entertainment - but the idiocy of Condi is chilling. The fact that she was touted as a possible Presidential contender should make Americans wonder how in a land of 300 million people, we are force to choose from such meager politicians.
Yeah, the Stupid Party got their punk bitch asses handed to them, but they pretty much had it coming. Perhaps I'll scrape up some time to chin-stroke about it, but really all I've got to say at the moment is:
1. So, the voting machines weren't rigged after all. Duh. (Memo to RFK, Jr.: Go intercourse yourself with a metal slat. You're welcome.)
B. After the 2004 Election, the big babies of the Left cried, called everyone who voted for Dubya stupid, threatened to leave the country(but didn't - poseurs), asked if Cali and NYC could secede to Canada, needed therapy, etc. They were basket cases.
After this year's letdown, conservatives promptly blamed the proper party: The Stupid Party. From the hubris-encrusted leadership, the Party's total failure to be anything but wasteful sloths to Dubya's inarticulate and ill-timed behavior - yeah, sack Rummy after he's cost you everything - you didn't hear a lot of blaming the voters as much as yelling at the pols themselves.
Shows you who the adults were, no?
Anyhoo, even if your the most depressed Republican, here's something that should crack you up, courtesy of The Smoking Gun: Iggy and the Stooges concert rider. If you've always wondered what could top Van Halen's "no brown M&Ms" edict, here's a contender. I've only read the first page, but I suspect the other 17 pages are a pip. Enjoy!!

It's another incident of fake news that the Treason Media happily passes along from its Palestinean/Islamofascist partners in order to provide the images that will keep the Religion of Terminal Grievance and Death whipped into an anti-everything-but-them furor. The Notorious G.R.E.E.N.H.E.L.M.E.T. isn't involved with this personally, but his ethic of staging news for convenient editing is in full effect here. A snip:
I noted almost immediately that Palestinians and anti-Zionists, insisting that Israel killed the boy on purpose, used Al Durah in a way familiar to medievalists--as a blood libel. This was the first blood libel of the twenty-first century, rendered global by cable and the Internet. Indeed, within a week, crowds the world over shouted "We want Jewish blood!" and "Death to the Jews!". For Europeans in particular, the libelous image came as balm to a troubled soul: "This death erases, annuls that of the little boy in the Warsaw Gherro," intoned Europe1 editorialist Catherine Nay. The Israelis were the new Nazis.
And second, when I saw the raw footage in the summer of 2003--especially when I saw the scene Enderlin had cut, wherein the boy(allegedly shot in the stomach, but holding his hand over his eyes) picks up his elbow and looks around--I realized that this was not a film of a boy dying, but a clumsily staged scene.
On October 31, 2003, at the studios of France2 in Jerusalem in the company of Charles Enderlin and his Israeli cameraman, I saw the raw footage of Al Durah from the only Palestinian cameraman who actually captured the scene on film--footage France2 still refuses to release for public examination. I was floored. The tapes feature a long succession of obviously faked injuries; brutal, hasty evacuation scenes; and people ducking for cover while others stand around. One fellow grabbed his leg in agony, then, upon seeing that no one would come to carry him away, walked away without a limp. It was stunning. That was no cameraman's conspiracy: It was everyone--a public secret about which news consumers had no clue.
But the real shock came when I mentioned this to Enderlin, who said he trusted this cameraman. "They always do that," he said. "It's a cultural style." So why wouldn't they have faked Al Durah? "They're not good enough," he said. A year later, the higher-ups at France2 made the same remark to three French journalists who also noted the pervasive staging: "You know well that it's always like that," they said. I tried unsuccessfully to interest the mainstream press in this obvious fakery, but nobody was interested. "I don't know how much appetite there is for this material here," one person at a major studio told me. So I made Pallywood (Palestinian Hollywood)--a video-essay showing the dishonesty and the still-more-astounding Western complicity in using this footage to inform us about the Middle East. Then I made a follow-up, Al Durah: The Making of an Icon (and soon, Icon of Hatred). I established a website, The Second Draft, where I posted the movies along with my evidence so that, unlike France2, people could check my sources. And now the accused have asked me to testify.
Looking at the latest Entertainment Weekly, I see that Keisha Castle-Hughes, age 16, is preggers by her 19-year-old sperm donor. Nice. Will someone please explain to me why gay marriage is the greatest threat to traditional family values?
When Bill Clinton tore the head off of Chris Wallace for his timerity in questioning Emperor Clinton's myth, he accused Wallace of being a neo-con hitman (paraphrasing) even though, as the Washington Post reports:
...we found that Wallace is a registered Democrat and has been for more than two decades.
When a charter member of the Treason Media is calling BS on Clinton's tirade, that should say it all. Unfortunately, Clinton continues to have his knob polished by the media and a pair of Bushes.
The craziness of my life has just subsided a teeny bit with my disassociation with a project I had been working on for the past few months. It could've been very cool if it weren't for the fact that one of the bosses was insane and the other a whipped little bitch (yes, I'm referring to a male) and that when the going got tough, the search for scapegoats got going. They're doomed to fail now and when it all craters, that's when they'll really hate themselves for not listening to me when I was trying to save them from themselves. C'est la whatever.
In other news, I've found myself watching more TV than ever, despite many of the usual shows I watched being gone (e.g. Star Trek, Alias) or not starting until January (read: 24). I have been watching returning usuals and some of the new ones and here's some snapshot comments on them:
Desperate Housewives: Eva Longoria is funnier than ever; Marcia Cross is acting great (though how can they not write her pregnancy in?); but Teri Hatcher is still annoying. Let's see if they can do better than last season's show.
Heroes: I'm referring to this as "Stephen King's X-Men" and that says it all. Liking it, but it's been too obtuse for its own good.
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip: I never watched "Sports Center" or the liberal porn fantasia "The West Wing" yet I'm totally onto Aaron Sorkin's self-infatuation. The stuff about the show is fun, but the Chandler-Jesus Girl stuff is forced. I'm about ready to cut this one loose.
30 Rock: It only premiered tonight, but I laughed; Alec Baldwin is funny (for a political moron); and Tina Fey is the hottest nerd babe on TV. MILFtastic!!!
Lost: My g/f is about to bail on this one and only watches for Sawyer. They need to get the whole gang back together instead of showing only a quarter of the cast per week.
The Nine: 2nd episode tonight and I was more interested in watching the Tigers beat Oakland in Game 2 of the ALCS. They'd better start ladling some more story in quickly or this is getting cut.
My Name is Earl: Still funny from what I've seen. I can't believe this show actually became a hit.
Supernatural: More focused this year than last - caught the first season on DVD - and it appears they're going to delve deeper into the Hunter mythos.
Ugly Betty: Only saw the first episode and it seemed cute, but I don't know how much they'll get from the concept. The lead isn't ugly as much as a typical chunky Hispanic, lacking any fashion sense; but without the braces and glasses, she's fine. (If you've seen the cover to the film "Real Women Have Curves' at the video store, that's America Ferrara. Ironic name, eh?) This conflicts with my practice night, so I'm probably not going to be able to keep up with it.
SNL: I've not been one of the boo birds who've bashed it forever as unfunny because they've had some great shows (e.g. the first Lindsey Lohan appearance), but I turned off the season premiere after Weekend Update and last week, I killed it after the monologue in favor of playing video games. Besides, aren't I already watching "SNL" two other times on this list?
Jeez, that's a lot of boob tube. Speaking of which, does anyone else remember when Anne Heche's new series, "Men In Trees", was called "Northern Exposure"?
I've also been buying a bunch of games for my Xbox 360 which has made its blg happier. (Hit the link at right to see.) GRAW is cool, as is Dead Rising. Always fun to kill zombies!
Jimmy Carter turns up in the pages of the New York Times this morning to pat himself on the back for having "solved" the NorKo nuclear crisis back in 1994. Of course, Carter implies that the whole thing is George W. Bush's fault for having called the Norks bad names ("axis of evil"). It is a classic example of Carter's delusional state of mind.
Just deconstruct this graph, for example:
Responding to an invitation from President Kim Il-sung of North Korea, and with the approval of President Bill Clinton, I went to Pyongyang and negotiated an agreement under which North Korea would cease its nuclear program at Yongbyon and permit inspectors from the atomic agency to return to the site to assure that the spent fuel was not reprocessed. It was also agreed that direct talks would be held between the two Koreas
Where to start. "an invitation from Kim Il Sung." Yes, and why do you suppose he wanted Carter so badly? ". . . with the approval of Bill Clinton. . ." Accuracy demands that it read "with the reluctant approval of Bill Clinton." Carter actually presented Clinton with a fait accompli — Carter told the White House was going to go hold hands with the Norks whether Clinton approved or not. Clinton, by the way, was furious with the outcome, which Carter announced on CNN before he told the White House. Clinton told Warren Christopher that Carter was to be stopped from making any further freelance trips of this kind. "It was also agreed that direct talks be held between the two Koreas." The Norks demanded a multi-million dollar payment from the South Koreans just to show up for the talks. In other words, the Norks turned it into a Jesse Jackson-style shakedown operation.
But remember—Jimmy is our best ex-president ever.
Bill Clinton has also been shrieking via his spokesman that John McCain is "rewriting history" in accurately calling out his failure here that ranks up with his Al Queda failures.
Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton: Coddlers of Islamofascists and Communist tyrants; destablizers of the world; haters of America.
Their failures may be the death of us all. When will the Treason Media start reporting these facts and stop propping up the myth of their greatness?
Watch the video and get a glimpse of what a GOP defeat will bring upon the land. As absolutely useless as the Stupid Party may be, at least they aren't loud and proud haters of America.
Cultures don't die; they commit sucide. Liberalism is a suicidal ideology. Just say no.
Remember these images of Clinton Secretary of State Madeline Albright toasting North Korean dictator/madman Kim Jong-Il when liars like Hillary Clinton are blaming Dubya for North Korea apparently going nuclear.
Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton did what feckless traitors do: Coddle totalitarians at the expense of their country's security and depend on the Treason Media to cover their tracks.
I'm surprised the Treason Media actually showed how the desperate, corrupt NJ Senatorial candidate staged and fabricated a Big Lie. When the Treason Media doesn't want to carry the fascist Dems water, that tells you buckets about how depraved they are.
You'd think that the party who tried to run a phony war hero for President would know what an American soldier looks like, but as lgf shows in "Democratic Party Fauxtoshops Veteran", they can't tell the difference between our boys and theirs. Yeesh.
Of course, considering their inability to spot the enemy that is Islamofascism because they're fixated on destroying Dubya first and last, this sort of gaffe is to be expected. Face it, they still reflexively spit "Baby killers!" at the sight of a service man, so maybe they went with the Canuck warrior to soothe their peristaltic urges.
Got a comment inappropriately posted to an unrelated post - come on people, can't you find the e-mail addy? - which asked:
Are you going to blog or are you ignoring the whole Foley mess entirely?
I started drafting a post about the howling hypocrisy in action as the fascist Dems have been trying to twist this affair to their advantage - despite the inconvenient truths about their warm embrace for their sexual predators while witch-hunting Stupid Partiers - but I'm simply too busy with work.
I also have a half-drafted piece about Clinton's hysterical diaper-filling incident when he ran into a journalist who wasn't there to suck his dick and asked him a simple question that he couldn't answered honestly. Again, work has eaten into my spare time, so, oh well...
Short answer on Foley: His only crime was not being a Democrat. If he was, he could've engaged in all the buggery he wanted without being forced to resign in shame.
Totally busy. Totally exhausted. Three-day-old Monday Morning Coffee with a bunch of stuff about Clinton's meltdown just getting moldy. Sleepy, I am, but not so bad as to not have a moment to chat with a porn bot. This one was on Yahoo and actually had a name that made a bit of sense unlike the AIM pornbots. Check this out:

[03:26] DirkBelig: Andy Griffith will do that to you. Matlock was banging the Golden Girls, you know.
[03:26] wanagitogederewichu: feel like a little cybber fun with me ? please please...
[03:27] DirkBelig: Since the accident and the shady government experiments, I'm almost totally cybernetic, not just a little.
[03:27] wanagitogederewichu: oh well your loss. why dont you open up my profile and see what you missed out on. theres a link there to my homepage where i hae some real nice pics to leave with.
[03:28] DirkBelig: Robot eyes. Not quite the same. Everything looks botoxed.
[03:29] wanagitogederewichu: bbot? whats that? some kinda insult or something?
[03:30] DirkBelig: Only in countries that refuse to observe Daylight Savings Time
I think I scared it off. As if I was a viable threat. With my luck, if I met a hot police officer online, I'd probably end up at some sleazy hot sheets motel and find that it's really some 14-year-old kid.
You've probably seen the PSA with the father confronting his teenage son about having pot paraphernalia. He demands to know where he learned to do such a thing and the browbeaten boy finally blurts, “From watching you guys!” The chastened father realizes that his “Do as I say, not as I do” ethos had come up short and seeing this behavior in others didn’t look so swift.
Now, the faux outrage that dedicated Bush-bashers Nancy Pelosi and Charles Rangel are showing in the wake of Hugo Chavez’s insulting of Dubya at the UN is as sincere as a shotgun wedding, but whether it’s from concern over voter backlash piling on their faltering momentum or a genuine offense over their President being dissed – quit laughing! – it raises the question as to where Chavez got such ideas that Dubya was “Diablo”.
But if Bush is being disrespected, then the Democrats need to look to themselves and their actions and understand how complicit they have been in encouraging it. Dems like Charlie Rangel, who called President Bush “Bull Connor,” knowing full well how wrong, inaccurate, unfair and inflammatory that was, or like the idiots who called Bush “a genocidal racist” after Hurricane Katrina, or like the party (and the press) who spent years telling America about Saddam’s Weapons of Mass Destruction only to later pretend they never said such things, and to pretend further that somehow Bush’s believing the same things they believed…made him a liar.
The Democrats alleged something that disingenuous - that what they believed was true was suddenly not only false but one man’s lie - and the press let them do it.
The press repeated it, ad nauseum, and the press and the Dems promoted films with that message, and books, until that damnable, transparent and nonsensical lie was repeated enough…because everyone knows that if you tell a big lie enough, it becomes “the truth.”
Be sure to read the link within the quote, too, because it's an excellent primer on all the things Team Clinton said that suddenly became "Bush's lies" when WMDs weren't found.
Yeesh, I've fallen behind! How'd I miss three in a row? I'm busy, but come on now! Let's catch 'em up!!!
1. When is the last time you dressed inappropriately for a situation?
Can't recall the latest, but I once wore an Ozzy "Diary of a Madman" t-shirt to Mass on a Sunday.
2. How many friends do you have?
Are we talking MySpace "friends" or real friends?
3. Are you running on time today?
No, but that's usual.
4. Do you use bleach on your laundry?
No.
5. What are your thoughts on guns?
They're inanimate objects, but fascist totalitarians believe they are magical items that make people turn evil and that's why we should be disarmed - to prevent the bad magic from hurting people.
1. How much TV do you watch?
Not much, but shows are starting up, so more than over the summer.
2. What type of show is your favorite?
Good, well-written ones.
3. Which talk show host do you hate?
Carson Daly. Leno may be smarmy and unctuous, but Daly is a total tool and average in every way.
4. Are you looking forward to any new season premieres?
"The Nine" looks interesting and I'll already be watching "Lost", so I'll peep it.
5. Which show is your guilty pleasure?
Since I don't suffer from guilt, this is a moot question.
1. Where were you last night?
Seeing Satori Circus. (Performance artist.)
2. Did you speak with anyone?
Plenty of people.
3. What were you wearing?
All black in true boho style and as a living tribute to Johnny Cash and Bono.
4. What did you eat or drink?
Ate before we went out, but had a pint of Bass after the show.
5. Can anyone verify your whereabouts from midnight to 5am?
I sure hope so, because I can't remember anything after I fell asleep!
I've been so freaking busy, I totally missed the 2nd Anniversary (traditional gift: cotton) of DIRKWORLD®!!! September 17, 2004 was the date of the first post here and 777 posts later, there is still so much to talk about and do.
Thank you for your continued patronage. Stay tuned...
Sam Harris isn't that guy from from "Star Search" a zillion years ago, but a deep blue liberal who wrote a book critical of religion and who has a general fear of evangenicals. In a rare example of intellectual honesty - for which he is being excoriated by the fascist Left - he has realized that liberals are clueless and misguided as to the threats arrayed against us.
His concern is partially based on the fact that given a choice between American and French candidates, the Americans tend to do better amongst the non-suicidal voters at the polls - but he's also rightfully concerned about what the jihad would mean to everyone's general health and welfare.
[M]y correspondence with liberals has convinced me that liberalism has grown dangerously out of touch with the realities of our world — specifically with what devout Muslims actually believe about the West, about paradise and about the ultimate ascendance of their faith.
On questions of national security, I am now as wary of my fellow liberals as I am of the religious demagogues on the Christian right.
This may seem like frank acquiescence to the charge that "liberals are soft on terrorism." It is, and they are.
A cult of death is forming in the Muslim world — for reasons that are perfectly explicable in terms of the Islamic doctrines of martyrdom and jihad. The truth is that we are not fighting a "war on terror." We are fighting a pestilential theology and a longing for paradise.
This is not to say that we are at war with all Muslims. But we are absolutely at war with those who believe that death in defense of the faith is the highest possible good, that cartoonists should be killed for caricaturing the prophet and that any Muslim who loses his faith should be butchered for apostasy.
Unfortunately, such religious extremism is not as fringe a phenomenon as we might hope. Numerous studies have found that the most radicalized Muslims tend to have better-than-average educations and economic opportunities.
Given the degree to which religious ideas are still sheltered from criticism in every society, it is actually possible for a person to have the economic and intellectual resources to build a nuclear bomb — and to believe that he will get 72 virgins in paradise. And yet, despite abundant evidence to the contrary, liberals continue to imagine that Muslim terrorism springs from economic despair, lack of education and American militarism.
At its most extreme, liberal denial has found expression in a growing subculture of conspiracy theorists who believe that the atrocities of 9/11 were orchestrated by our own government. A nationwide poll conducted by the Scripps Survey Research Center at Ohio University found that more than a third of Americans suspect that the federal government "assisted in the 9/11 terrorist attacks or took no action to stop them so the United States could go to war in the Middle East;" 16% believe that the twin towers collapsed not because fully-fueled passenger jets smashed into them but because agents of the Bush administration had secretly rigged them to explode.
Such an astonishing eruption of masochistic unreason could well mark the decline of liberalism, if not the decline of Western civilization. There are books, films and conferences organized around this phantasmagoria, and they offer an unusually clear view of the debilitating dogma that lurks at the heart of liberalism: Western power is utterly malevolent, while the powerless people of the Earth can be counted on to embrace reason and tolerance, if only given sufficient economic opportunities.
I don't know how many more engineers and architects need to blow themselves up, fly planes into buildings or saw the heads off of journalists before this fantasy will dissipate. The truth is that there is every reason to believe that a terrifying number of the world's Muslims now view all political and moral questions in terms of their affiliation with Islam. This leads them to rally to the cause of other Muslims no matter how sociopathic their behavior. This benighted religious solidarity may be the greatest problem facing civilization and yet it is regularly misconstrued, ignored or obfuscated by liberals.
Given the mendacity and shocking incompetence of the Bush administration — especially its mishandling of the war in Iraq — liberals can find much to lament in the conservative approach to fighting the war on terror. Unfortunately, liberals hate the current administration with such fury that they regularly fail to acknowledge just how dangerous and depraved our enemies in the Muslim world are.
In their analyses of U.S. and Israeli foreign policy, liberals can be relied on to overlook the most basic moral distinctions. For instance, they ignore the fact that Muslims intentionally murder noncombatants, while we and the Israelis (as a rule) seek to avoid doing so. Muslims routinely use human shields, and this accounts for much of the collateral damage we and the Israelis cause; the political discourse throughout much of the Muslim world, especially with respect to Jews, is explicitly and unabashedly genocidal.
Given these distinctions, there is no question that the Israelis now hold the moral high ground in their conflict with Hamas and Hezbollah. And yet liberals in the United States and Europe often speak as though the truth were otherwise.
We are entering an age of unchecked nuclear proliferation and, it seems likely, nuclear terrorism. There is, therefore, no future in which aspiring martyrs will make good neighbors for us. Unless liberals realize that there are tens of millions of people in the Muslim world who are far scarier than Dick Cheney, they will be unable to protect civilization from its genuine enemies.
While liberals should be the ones pointing the way beyond this Iron Age madness, they are rendering themselves increasingly irrelevant. Being generally reasonable and tolerant of diversity [HA!!!! - DB], liberals should be especially sensitive to the dangers of religious literalism. But they aren't.
The same failure of liberalism is evident in Western Europe, where the dogma of multiculturalism has left a secular Europe very slow to address the looming problem of religious extremism among its immigrants. The people who speak most sensibly about the threat that Islam poses to Europe are actually fascists. [Huh? Oh, yeah, conservatives are fascists to the Left. - DB]
To say that this does not bode well for liberalism is an understatement: It does not bode well for the future of civilization.
Reality-based people like me have been saying this for ages, but will the Left listen to the inconvenient truths of Islamofascism if it comes from one of "their" guys?
When the fanatical president of a strong and ambitious for nuclear weapons country appears at the United Nations, that's news. When that president has repeatedly threatened Israel with destruction, denied the Holocaust's existence, and sent long rambling letters to the leaders of the U.S., France, and Germany, people will want to know what he says and what it means.
When he delievers a radical address that --in soft tones, yes, but urgent ones-- declares the U.N. to be illegitimate, the war against Israel by Hezbollah to be a creation of the U.S., goes out of his way to alert Christians that Jesus was just a prophet, and then closes with an apocalypse-welcoming appeal to God, that's not just news, it is very crucial news, news that underscores many important facts for the West and the U.S., chief among them that "diplomacy" leading to a "better deal" isn't on this radical's mind. He wants his nukes. He wants the apocalypse.
And the appeasement press does not convey this; doesn't even bother to report the closing appeal to the Almighty.
Because I played the speech live on my radio show, and saw and heard the reaction in the e-mails and the calls, I and my audience know what he was saying, and I know that it was big news of intense interest to Americans with any eye on the world.
And it is underplayed at best and ignored at worst.
Why such negligence by the appeasement press? A lot of reasons.
Because the appeasement press favors the party of appeasement, and stories that depart from the agenda journalism that wholly favors the Democratic Party platform of retreat from Iraq and the Democratic Party ideology that believes all evil in the world is either the fault of the U.S. or can be bargained away will not get much ink, if any.
Because it is lazy and incurious about such things as long speeches that have to be listened to in translation, and even when listened to, not to the end, and even when listened to to the end, not comprehended because most of the appeasement press don't read widely or deeply.
Because the appeasement press is bigoted and at best agmostic, and don't believe the religious beliefs of an odd-looking fellow from a mullah-run state can pose any sort of real threat to the West. Israel, maybe, but hey, they've got it coming to them, right? If the Jews had given the Palestinians their land back a couple of decades ago, we'd all be past this, right?
My next post will be about one diehard socialist liberal who is able to peer through his dogmatic views enough to see that his brethren are sadly mistaken about who the enemy is.
Whoa! Can this really be happening? Looks like it is! It's a Morning Coffee!!! HIT IT!!!!
• POPE BENNY 16 UNDER FIRE: Isn't it ironic that the Religion of Peace is reacting to the accurate mention by the Pope that some people have noticed that Islam has a history of violence by rioting, firebombing churches, making death threats and the murder of a nun in Somalia? The Pope has made "Sorry if you were too stupid to understand what I was saying" non-apology apologies, but what he really needs to do is issue a call to arms against this barbaric, medieval Religion of Death. Will the dewy-eyed pacifism and turn-the-other-cheeck dogmas of Christianity lead to its being run thru by the sword of Islam. Sorry, Benny, ain't gonna play that. Don't be the shepherd who led his flock to slaughter.
• MEXICAN INVADERS CAN STAY, DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER GOES: From the "Misplaced Priorities" file is this item from The Jawa Report:
A few years ago, he captured a rich American serial rapist that hid away in Mexico. That is a good thing. However, bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico (watch out Yule Brenner). So, The Dog ended up in jail for his effort to bring an American a-hole to justice. He posted bail and promptly came home.
Now the Mexican authorities want him back to face charges for his illegal actions. WTF? He did nothing to their citizens and had no intention of ever going back. Ever. But a US Federal judge signed the warrant for his arrest and they are in the process of beginning the extradition process to send him to Mexico.
Again. WTF?
How about a federal judge spend time working on extraditing illegal aliens from the US back to Mexico. The US judge argues that he is just enforcing treay obligations. So, we have a treaty that sends American good guys who capture American bad guys to face prison time in Mexican prisons, but no agreement for Mexico to help gather their wayward citizens illegally in this country.
I could go on and on, but, come on, WTF?!?
WTF, indeed.
• ROSIE O'DONNELL IS A STUPID COW: Yeah, I know that is as obvious as "Ellen DeGeneres gets more hot blonde girls than Bill Maher", but what else can be said about her obtuse tone-deaf comments about how "radical Christians are as great a threat as radical Muslims"? Hey, Rosie! As unhappy as you may be about not having the support for gay marriage - the same issue that drove Andrew Sullivan insane - just how dumb do you have to be to not know that under sharia law, not only would her fat ass be hidden under a tent, but she wouldn't be allowed to mouth off as a career and as a lesbian, SHE'D...BE...DEAD?!?!? Idiot!!!
Remember when the media lauded her as the "Queen of Nice"? What a crock that was as she attacked Tom Selleck over guns, etc. Which famous lesbian comic will be hosting the Oscars next year. (Hint: Not Dumb Cow Girl.) Ellen is very popular because she comes off as nice and non-militant in a way that the bitter, rage-filled (normal emotional state of the Left) Rosie can no longer pretend to be. She's not downplaying her sexuality - she's just not making it her only distiguishing trait. I'm waiting for Elizabeth Hasselback to finally haul off and coldcock Rosie one of these days.
• INTARWEB HYPE RESULTS INCONSISTENCIES: After nearly a year of fervent buzz, "Snakes on a Plane" finally came out and crashed at the box office, despite being a really fun popcorn movie. Pundits are proclaiming this as proof that Web buzz means nothing in the end. OTOH, aren't pundits claiming that Kos puppet Ned Lamont is proof that the Web is able to swing politics? Hmmmm.
• HOT MUSLIM BABES!: Ever wonder what was under those bhurqas?
No wonder the repressed Islamofascists want to cover women up! They're self-hating pussies who are hung like infants and it's better to hide the babes than get aroused and be laughed at by said babes.
Of course, our wonderful ally (*cough*) in the War Against Islamofascism, Pakistan, probably would like to drag an American resident back to her native Pakistan to kill her for winning a Chinese bikini contest.
Wonder what Rosie would say about this if it was Christians looking to punish these women? (Not really. I know what she'd say vs. what she'd say about this.)
• WELCOME THE JAWA REPORT AND THE ANCHORESS TO DIRKWORLD: Based on what I've seen and linked today, I'm adding The Jawa Report to my blog roll at right. Good stuff. I've also been meaning to post a bunch of links from The Anchoress because she's very good on religious issues. Check them out, won't you?
• BUY THIS T-SHIRT!: In response to an insipid Arabic t-shirt worn by the Treason Media-protected Nazi Cindy Sheehan, Michelle Malkin is selling these t-shirts:
I want to get one and wear it in front of the local Jihad Coordination Center here in Dearbornistan. Proceeds are going to some good cause, but even if they weren't, it's a good way to announce to the Islamo- (and Democrat) fascists that you're not gonna go out like a punk bitch.
• DIRK'S DISH & VIDEO DU JOUR: The Sounds are a Swedish band whose debut, "Living In America", was a great knockoff of the Eighties sound - if Kim Wilde had done an album between her first and "Select", it would've sounded like this. Their second album wasn't as catchy, despite having a great cover...
...on which neither girl is singer Maja Ivarsson.
The Sounds haven't broken thru here, but Maja got some, ahem, exposure in the video for the theme to "Snakes on a Plane". The group, Cobra Academy, is some sort of emo band supergroup and since I'm not a crying teenaged pussy, I have no idea who any of these guys are. Regardless, the tune is actually really cool, but the real attraction of the video is Maja's hoochie girl moves and a shirt that definitely wouldn't pass Taliban muster. I wonder how many takes they couldn't use because her goodies were overexposed?
Anyhoo, here's the video and Maja's peek-a-boobs. Enjoy!
What makes this list great is that all of the videos are included to prove why they're worthy. I'm only on the first page, but it's hard to out mindfreak The Chemical Brothers' “Let Forever Be” clip, directed by Michel Gondry. (I hope "Setting Sun" is up ahead.)
I've mentioned before how Apple aficionados are glazed-eye cultists who would take pictures of their unwrapping a box of Steve Jobs poo and Linux fanboys are the suicide bombers of geekdom as they can't control their reflexive need to be total asstacklers on teh Intarwebs, crapping on any thread, article or site that doesn't bash Micro$oft to their satisfaction. F*cking jerks.
Format hard drive and get off the Windows treadmill.
Leave Redmond behind. You will have more money, you will get more work done because you're not constantly fighting the exploit-of-the-day or endlessly applying the patch-of-the-moment (which requires a restart), and your PC will be fun again like it used to be.
It's this snotty, arrogant crap that keeps people from trying Linux in the first place - a subject I covered in "Regarding: Linux Snobs" which had a link to a piece calling out these shmucks on their counterproductive belligerence. A snip from that:
As I spoke to newbies, one Windows user who wanted to learn about Linux shared the encouraging and constructive note (not) he received from one of the project members. The responding note read: "Hi jackass, RTFM and stop wasting our time trying to help you children learn."
Lovely little encouragement. This particular Windows user was a newbie to Linux but had been in the I.T. industry for years. His question, regarding "how do I start process daemons like a web server" was reasonable, not childish. His reaction to the Linux "guru" was also reasonable. He basically said that he doesn't have time to deal with people so fanatic and terse they reject questions on message boards created to answer questions.
It's only a matter of time before the Linux jihadists adopt the Islamofascists "Convert or DIE!!!!" strategery for forcing their geek religious beliefs upon the rest of us. Llamas!!!
It's been fascinating to see the Treason Media cheerfully fomenting death and destruction by misreporting the speech of Pope Benny 16 that has got the Religion of Peace firebombing churches and threatening to kill all the Christians in Iraq and destroy the Vatican. While they explain that the context was clear that the Pope was quoting a 14th Century Emperor, the nuance-free Muslim Street has been going berserk as if Benny said that Mohammad's mama wore combat boots.
The media's hatred for Christianity and hunger for spectacle to broadcast - nothing like riots, bombings and firebombs to make for good TV, eh? - is going to make them make damn sure that the Muslims are riled up and the world is terrified of offending the throat-cutting jihadis. Since the Treason Media shares the fascist power lust of the Islamist killers, look for things to get much worse.
Dead Christians; a terrified West; fascism ascendent; exciting images = Treason Media's Dream Quadruple Play!!!
When Susan Kuhnhausen returned home from work one day earlier this month, she encountered an intruder wielding a claw hammer. After a struggle, the 51-year-old nurse fended off her attacker by strangling him with her bare hands.
Neighbors praised the woman for her bravery, and investigators said they believed the dead man -- Edward Dalton Haffey -- was burglarizing Kuhnhausen's home.
But after an investigation, police now say the intruder Kuhnhausen strangled was apparently a hit man hired by her estranged husband -- Michael James Kuhnhausen Sr. -- to kill her.
As the item on the Corner said, good help is hard to find!
Apparently, in the world of creative entertainment, not only can white men not jump, but we represent most, if not all, of the criminal element.
In the make believe land of movies, television, and commercials, if there is a heinous crime to be committed, 99.9% of the time, it’s now going to be done by a white guy. In fact, it has to be done by a white guy.
Political correctness and the fear of offending, or worse yet, getting sued or picketed, is such, that you will no longer see blacks, Hispanics, most minorities, or even women for that matter, commit a fictional crime. No. Hollywood and the ad agencies have decided that criminal activity on film is now the sole domain of the “too successful for his own good” white male.
Think I’m exaggerating? Watch any commercial on television for any one of the home alarm companies. One hundred percent of the time, it’s always a white guy breaking into the home. In fact, there is one spot now running, where we see an upper-middle class African-American family in a panic as a burglar is trying to break into their home. And just who is this burglar? Why none other than that well known and ubiquitous, evil white male.
Don’t like that example. Okay. Instead, watch any of the commercials for any of the credit card companies that try to sell you a card to replace traveler checks. As the commercial plays out, you see that some low-life, former Enron-like executive white male, has, once again, ruined the vacation of mom, dad, muffy and skip as they tried desperately to enjoy Paris before it too, was torched by insurgents in training.
Still not convinced. Fine. Watch any sitcom or one hour drama on television. Almost without exception, every fictional crime being committed in all of these shows is being done by a white male. “Case closed, Monk. Sanitize your hands and let’s lock up the Caucasian.”
Think the big screen is different. Wrong. Most crimes that take place on the silver screen are committed by white men. Of course, just for a laugh, Hollywood will, on occasion, out due itself as it stretches the bounds of political correctness, by throwing a completely impossible scene of reverse stereotyping at the film fan.
Case in point, the movie “Falling Down” where the defense contractor, played by famous white guy Michael Douglas, completely snaps and starts shooting minorities. My favorite part of the movie is where he goes into a burger joint that is supposed to be in South Central L.A. and is served by none other than Dee Dee Pfeiffer. A whiter than white Valley girl working in a burger joint in South Central.
My wife, who is from South America, once asked, “Don’t Hispanics ever commit any crimes in your TV shows?” My answer was, “Rarely. They will commit marginally more crimes on TV than blacks, but only because Hollywood is more worried about Jesse Jackson coming after them than Edward James Olmos.”
Obviously, for far too many years, minority and African-American actors were marginalized, stereotyped, and blatantly insulted in film, on television, and even in commercials. I would submit that you still have some of that behavior happening today. Both by elements of mainstream entertainment, and ironically, and quite tragically, in a number of Hip Hop and Gangsta rap videos which purposely denigrate and disrespect black women, while fostering the worst possible stereotypes of black men.
But is the solution to those past and current sins, to create a fairytale entertainment world in which only white men can be portrayed as criminals. While amusing in its absurdity, it also draws attention the fact that as a nation, we are still not as comfortable or accepting of diversity as some would pretend.
Someine take this fool away and reeducate him with some diversity and tolerance values, STAT!!!!
I've noticed (and probably commented on it) before that news reports are loathe to announce that criminal suspects are black lest they get a call from Al or Jesse. Watch the news and see how often they'll tell you every detail about a suspect EXCEPT his skin color. There was a woman robbing backs a while back and the description was so vague as to be useless, starting with no mention of what color the perp was? How pathetic is it that we can't mention that certain groups - whites, Asians, Indians, albinos - aren't what they're looking for?
"A 16-year-old girl was tailed by a car full of men before being dragged inside and assaulted in Sydney's west last night, police say ... .
"The three men involved in the attack were described to police as having dark 'mullet-style' hair cuts."
Three men with "mullet-style" hair, huh? Not much to go on there. Bit of a head scratcher. But, as it turned out, the indefatigable Sydney Morning Herald typist had faithfully copied out every salient detail of the police report except one. Here's the statement the coppers themselves issued:
"Police are seeking three men described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, with dark 'mullet-style' hair cuts."
That additional detail narrows it down a bit, wouldn't you say? The only reason I know that is because the Aussie Internet maestro Tim Blair grew curious about the epidemic of incidents committed by men of no known appearance and decided to look into it.
Civilizations die of suicide, not murder. Being afraid to speak plain Truths like the race of a suspect - regardless of what color they are - are a sign that those more dedicated to their principals, say, Islamofascists, will triumph in the battle for survivial we're currently embroiled in.
...the it's obvious that we're not serious about our own survival as much as keeping up appearances. The Islamofascists think we're weak. They're right. And unless we get over this need for acceptance from those who seek to kill us, we're all dead.
I have been so busy that I've been unable to get a fraction of the posts up that events demand, but them's the breaks when you're gainfully employed and not some fascist malcontent like Kos who has nothing but time to dedicate to the destruction of America and the election of fascist Democrats to assist in these goals.
On my sole 9/11 post, about Dogpile, I received this query in the comments:
That's it, Dirk? I expected more commentary on your site than what Dogpile put up on 9/11. No comments on the Path to 9/11 fiasco or the speech or anything? You must be super busy
Since hardly anyone reads the comments, I suspect, here's what I replied with for the general edification of everyone.
===============
Yes, I am. But since you took a moment to stop by, here are a few quick hits about recent events:
* Dubya's 9/11 Speech: Since he didn't announce that he was nuking Damascus or Terahn nor sealing the borders from infiltration and invasion, I thought it was more blah-blah-woof-woof. Is it 2009 yet?
* The Path to 9/11: Its most valuable service was to reveal how terrified Democrats are of the Truth of their utter lack of seriousness about defense be revealed. Dubya didn't threaten to shut down any studios for Michael Moore's fictions, yet ABC risked losing their license for telling it like it was about Clinton AND Dubya? Never again can they speak of free speech without their noses growing.
As for the show, it was good but there were too many needlessly fictionalized scenes, like the main "Sandy Berger hangs up" one. The Truth is damning enought without making up stuff. Just the facts, ma'am. 7/10.
* Rove/Cheney/Libby Never Leaked Valerie Plame's Name: Well....DUH!!!! I've always said that Joe Wilson was always a liar and after three years and one bogus unrelated indictment, even the WaPo fesses up what it knew all along.
The disgrace of the Treason Media is how they (along with Armitage and Powell) sat silently while innocent men were forced to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on lawyers to defend against nothing; aware the whole time that they knew the truth but refused to print it because it didn't get their "Kill Bush" agenda.
* New iPods: Whoa! 80GB video iPod for $349?!? I paid $389 for my 4G monochrome 40GB less than two years ago. Neato.
On 9/11, one of my MySpace "friends" - whose only connection to me other than his band plays the bar I hang at and he went to the same high school, 12 years after me - sent out a bulletin with "Loose Change", the bogus 9/11 conspiracy film that has gained much currency (no pun) with the terminally stupid and insane as PROOF, MAN, of Team Dubya's staging of the event. He wrote:
Even if you're not a conspiracy nut like myself and a few of my friends I believe that every American should watch this documentary and make his or her own decisions about the events upon and leading up to that day.
What f*cking codswallop!!! I wrote him back:
I double-dog dare ya to forward this link to your list as a companion piece to your friends with the same enthusiasm as you encourage them to waste their time watching the totally fraudulent "Loose Change" film.
Short version: We're supposed to believe that the government conspired to pull off this massive scheme without a single leak after five years, yet after supposedly killing 3,000 people, they've allowed these assholes to remain alive to blow their secret?!? Think about THAT!
Short version: The author states, "I'll tell you now that in this hour and twenty-minute video I counted 81 errors of fact (statements like "1+1 = 3"). In addition, I counted 345 instances of conjecture not supported by evidence, logical fallacies, uses of images that do not support the conclusions being drawn, and other flubs. And that's only counting errors of commission. The errors of omission are more serious. (Note: I have turned up more errors while doing this update, but I find it too depressing to count them.)
The Truth is not something that can be decided by watching some charlatans tinfoil hat lunacy and agreeing or not. The Truth is what it is - fire burns, water is wet, gravity pulls down, Angelina Jolie is the hottest woman in the Universe (j/k), etc. - and if some idiots want to make a movie that says that fire is cool, water is dry, a dropped brick will float away and Anna Nicole Smith is capable of spelling her own name, that's fine and dandy, but IT DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!
Dude, if you want to be crazy and believe every lie someone wants to tell you, suit yourself; but please don't encourage others to waste their time following you into the darkness of lies and ignorance. I notice you haven't encouraged anyone to watch "The Path to 9/11" - why not? Shouldn't that be part of the informational diet for people to ponder and decide about or is that inadmissable because it doesn't fit your conspiracy theories?
Do you have a theory about Tim McVeigh and the OKC bombing or is the official "lone bomber" story good enough for you?
Needless to say, the pussy didn't send it out and didn't write back. I'd slapped him for sending a video of George Galloway around lying about Iraq and he didn't do anything with that either. He's a useful idiot, unassailed by facts, reality or Truth and he likes it that way. Llama.
There is a virulent form of unpatriotism festering in America today. Like an algae bloom that deprives life of oxygen, it starves democracy of the air of reason. It now thrives on what we call the far Left, but like a dead zone off the coast, it moves with the tides.
I am referring to the seditious dementia of conspiracy theories, the death of faith not in some mere administration or Congress but in America itself.
Haven’t you heard? The U.S. government blew up the World Trade Center. Oh, sorry, that’s not right. The planes did knock down those buildings, but the White House was in on it. Oh, no, sorry again, that’s not what happened. It was the Jews. They razed it without leaving any fingerprints — save for the 4,000 Zionist co-conspirators who were tipped off in advance — in order to frame the peace-loving Muslims of al Qaeda. (Those crafty Hebrews are always coming up with clever ways to make Islamic fanatics look bad, like getting blown up.) Bin Laden’s admission that he did it? Well, of course. He’s in on it.
Presumably, Bush’s demolition experts applied the same expertise to the levees in New Orleans. That’s another theory in wide circulation today thanks in no small part to Spike Lee, who gave it a fair airing in an HBO documentary.
The metaphysical, ontological stupidity of all this defies rational rebuttal. It would be like proving I didn’t have unicorn for dinner in late December of 1987.

The masons of dementia build upon a bedrock of one absolute truth: Bad things happen, and someone must be responsible. Upon this bedrock they pile convenient and selective facts like bricks. Contradictory facts are clever lies. When Popular Mechanics debunked 9/11 hokum, the immediate response from conspiratorialists was “cover-up!” and “CIA front!” because in this perverted faith, denying the ultimate truth must be proof of a lie.
This rough beast slouches toward sedition because it assumes not that our leaders are knaves or even mere criminals, but that they are murderous Supermen with no loyalty to nation, decency or law. Our Constitution is a fraud, a charade for the rubes some of us naively call citizens. If you disagree, you’re either fool or “in on it.” In his 1964 essay, “The Paranoid Style in American Politics,” Richard Hofstadter demonstrated that this fever of the mind is as old as America itself and its outbreaks flare up across the ideological landscape. What is so sad and frightening is that this diseased thinking is reaching epidemic proportions. More than a third of Americans believe the U.S. government was likely to have been involved in 9/11.
In the past, when these outbreaks occurred on the political right, liberal hand-wringers fretted about incipient fascism and rising McCarthyism. Today, the best we get from them is a bemused and sterile chuckle.
It's a weak end to the column, but the bulk is a sound recitation of facts. The BDS-consumed Left will not begin to hush up until they reclaim power. They're pitiful children and like most spoiled brats, they don't think about the consequences of their actions. The ends justify the means and if thousands of innocents and soldiers have to die in order to damage their enemies political viability, then so be it. The Left's Divine Right to rule over us is all that matters to them. Never forget that.
The Corner points out that Google - commercial collaborators with Chinese tyrants - don't have anything up for 9/11 while Dogpile has this:
It's amazing that the fear of alienating Islamofascists and liberal fascists (read: Democrats) trumps showing solidarity with the country that allowed the Google guys to become billionaires. I wonder if they think they can buy their way out of their throats being cut for being infidels?
While I frequently identify most liberals properly for their fascist beliefs, not all liberals are fascists. (Compare this to the Treason Media refusing to acknowledge that ANY Muslims are terrorists.) One liberal who must have been missing his Kool-Aid rations is a blogger by the handle of "Engram" who says of himself, I am professor at a major research university, a registered Democrat, a liberal by most measures, but a radical conservative relative to the large majority of my colleagues.
Well, this neocon Nazi (as the Left would call him) has posted an interesting piece with graphs that point out that despite economic numbers equivalent to the vaunted "Age of Clinton" economy, Dubya gets no love and people when polled give thru the Looking Glass responses as to whether they're satisfied with the economy.
Polls consistently show that Americans are rather negative about the economy, and many have wondered why that might be considering that our economy is the envy of the world (as well it should be). The source of our pessimism is a bit of a mystery, and it is one that I am going to pursue. For the moment, I'll simply note that I have identified what may be a contributing factor to our unwarranted despair: reporters rarely use charts, and that allows them to wax poetic about the "jobless recovery," "worrisome signs of inflation," "record setting deficits," and other such nonsense. Charts anchor the mind to the raw data, which makes it hard to use bumper-sticker slogans that mislead (and demoralize) more than they clarify. In any story about the economy, there is never an excuse not to use a chart, but reporters almost never do.
So, in 1998 (during the Clinton era), Americans were 65/35 on the optimistic side, but now (during the Bush era) we are 65/35 on the pessimistic side. A complete reversal. Are things really that bad? No. In fact, the evident pessimism is borderline ridiculous, but it's hard to appreciate that unless you look at some simple charts.
[snip - go to the link and see the charts and comments]
Inflation during the Bush administration has been much like it was during the Clinton administration. Even so, back then, we liked the economy. Now we hate it. So, what exactly is the problem? The "record setting" budget deficits, perhaps? Not really. Stagnant wages? Maybe, but I doubt it. I'll take a look at these a bit later, but for now, my point is that any story you read about some aspect of the economy ought to include simple charts like these. Those two stories about budget deficits and stagnant wages -- like almost all stories about the state of economy -- don't do that. You can learn more from a few informative charts than you can from reading the words of a reporter who has an agenda that is advanced, not by showing you the actual numbers, but by using bumper-sticker slogans to create the impression that things are "spiraling out of control." Oh wait, that's the phrase reporters use to characterize Iraq. Well, they don't use charts for that purpose, either (and for the same reason).
Hmmmm....would the Treason Media be lying to us to get us to hate Team Dubya?
Duh.
Thus comment really pointed up the sneaky methods the Treason Media use to bamboozle their readers/viewers:

It's entirely due to media bias. Every month a dozen economic statistics come out. Some go up, some go down. Whichever one does worst is the one that gets the most headlines. People don't remember the absolute numbers (and the MSM won't give them charts), but they DO remember the headlines. So in September "gas prices got worse". In October "unemployment got worse". In November "inflation got worse". In December "gas prices got worse" again. HOWEVER, in October and November, gas prices got BETTER, but that news was buried on page A18! Only those with a good memory for numbers will figure this out though. The rest will only remember "down down down down".
At this year's American Association for Public Opinion Research conference, data was presented on perceptions not of how the economy is doing, but whether it is getting worse or better. Republicans sometimes say it is getting worse, sometimes better, and that balances out over several years. Democrats consistently say it is getting worse every single month and have been saying so for several years. If they were correct, we would be in a terrible depression by now. Related data found that Republicans tend to base their perception of how the economy is doing on how they and their neighbors are doing, while Democrats claim to base their perception on "inflation and unemplyment statistics", except they don't REALLY know the actual numbers, they just remember the "worse worse worse worse" headlines and imagine the statistics are bad.

It's worse than that. I remember about a year ago, just before Katrina, seeing Bob Schieffer on CBS News report the latest employment numbers. Behind him the graphic showed a jagged, downward pointing line with the the text "Job Losses". And Bob reported a significant increase in job growth.
To say the least, I was stunned with what I saw. How many people heard 100,000 jobs created as being jobs lost?
This was not a momentary "X" over Dick Cheney's face, this was a preplanned story. They knew days in advance what day the job numbers would be released. They knew what the economists were predicting. At the least they should have had two graphics ready. But the Jobs numbers are always released in the morning about eight to nine hours prior to the evening news going live.
How many days until the perky Katie Couric starts her stint in one of the Big Three Big Lie chairs?
