As I posted earlier this week, the NYTimes launched a surprising attack on one of their own, Katie Couric, and I mentioned the book "Spin Sisters" by Myrna Blyth. Today, Blyth piles on quite nicely to get some cherry "Neener! Neener!" jabs in:
We've all watched as Katie has grown richer, smugger, and more chic. But for years, Today's chipmunk-cheeked, Clinton-loving perkette sold women, the primary audience for the morning show's mélange of a little news and a lot of fluffy features, the notion that she is just like them: a harried working mom.
In her "I'm just like you" phase Katie used to give speeches to adoring audiences describing a typical day in her life. She would tell them, for example, that she was on the phone setting up a play-date for one of her daughters like an ordinary mom, when a staffer beeped her to tell her President Carter was on the line. "President Carter who just won the Nobel Prize? Okay, put him on." He was calling, she would confide, throwing all modesty to the winds, to thank her for all she had done for him over the years. Yep, just an ordinary mom with a $15-million-a-year paycheck, a Park Avenue co-op, a millionaire boyfriend, a high-priced personal trainer, and the power to control two prime hours of TV five mornings a week.
Yummy stuff. Dig in!

How Apple Could Kill Micro$oft
Caught The Buzz Report: Windows is weak: where's the alternative? over at C|NET.com and it discusses how the pending M$ "Longhorn" OS is shedding features and a reason for being.
She suggests that Apple could strike by porting their new Tiger OS over to the Intel platform - something that's quite possible since Tiger is built on UNIX and Apple uses Intel for their server products. So, why isn't the mighty Steve Jobs doing this? Because he's a greedy moron who'd rather have 2% of the market, selling his overpriced and underpowered computers to his Kool-Aid-chugging acolytes, that's why!!!
Read the article and count how many opportunities are being missed. Bashing Micro$oft is always in fashion, but part of why M$ is so dominant is because their competitors are self-defeating dopes! Bill Gates must laugh himself to sleep at night.

More Violent Hate Speech from Air America. (Must be Wednesday.)
Sure it's a DRUDGE REPORT FLASH, but that doesn't mean it's automatically untrue, despite the constant cries of pain from the liberals.
XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX WED APRIL 27, 2005 09:01:25 ET XXXXX
AIR AMERICA RADIO INVESTIGATED AFTER BUSH 'GUNSHOTS'
**Exclusive**
The red-hot rhetoric over Social Security on liberal talkradio network AIR AMERICA has caught the attention of the Secret Service, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
Government officials are reviewing a skit which aired on the network Monday evening -- a skit featuring an apparent gunshot warning to the president!
The announcer: "A spoiled child is telling us our Social Security isn't safe anymore, so he is going to fix it for us. Well, here's your answer, you ungrateful whelp: [audio sound of 4 gunshots being fired.] Just try it, you little bastard. [audio of gun being cocked]."
The audio production at the center of the controversy aired during opening minutes of The Randi Rhodes Show.
"What is with all the killing?" Rhodes said, laughing, after the clip aired.
"Even joking about shooting the president is a crime, let alone doing it on national radio... we are taking this very seriously," a government source explained.
Developing...
I spotted the above after catching Bryon York's item at The Corner:
The skit this week by Air America host Randi Rhodes featuring simulated gunshots fired at President Bush is at least the second time Rhodes has used her program to discuss the idea of killing the president.
On her May 10, 2004, Air America program, Rhodes compared Bush to Fredo Corleone, the weak son in the Godfather movies, who was, on his brother Michael's orders, taken on a fishing trip during which he was murdered with a gunshot to the head. "They are the Corleones," Rhodes said of the Bush family. "The Fredo of the family is the president of the United States, so why doesn't his father take him, or his brother, one of them, take him out for a little, uh, fishing? You know, let him say some Hail Marys, he loves God so much. Yeah, take him out, you know, 'Hail Mary, full of grace, God is with thee' -- POW!" Rhodes paused briefly before adding, "Works for me."
Will someone please remind me when it was that Rush Limbaugh ran a sketch calling for the assassination of Bill Clinton? Oh yeah, that's right....IT NEVER HAPPENED!!!!
Seething, unreasoning and violent rage is the sole animating emotion of the Left and from their screaming maniac DNC chair, Howard Dean, to the punks throwing pies and salad dressing, they feel that there is no restraint neccessary on their actions and if some unhinged nutjob hauls off and actually injures or kills a non-liberal, it's justifiable because liberals are GOOD and non-liberal-socialist-fascists are BAD, dontchaknow?
Liberalism is an ideology of hate, fear, tyranny and violence. Never forget it because they'll never admit it.
UPDATE: Tim Graham of the Media Research Council adds in a later Corner post, "the funniest part of that article was Janeane Garofalo insisting they would not be as nasty as right-wingers. "On the left traditionally, you've got a nicer type of person. You've got a person who is more willing to engage in conversations that have context and nuance."
Fantasizing about shooting the President in the head is "nicer" and has "nuance"?!? Jeez! And to think there was a time when I thought she was kinda cute and smart. Too bad the hate of liberalism claimed her soul, not that she cares. She's good with her peeps and that's what matters, right?
UPDATE: The days after this story blew up, Randi DID apologize, albeit with fingers crosssed and a demand that every Republican also apologize for ever saying anything in opposition to Democratic smears and fascism, so by being insincere, it doesn't count. She's still a hateful liar, but we knew that already.

Mark Scott R.I.P.
Heard this morning that Mark Scott had merged with the infinite. In the early-to-mid-Nineties, he was a host on WXYT, a local talk station that used to have a powerhouse lineup of local host surrounding the Rush Limbaugh broadcast period. He'd been off the air for wite some time because WXYT switched to an all-sports format, something that Detroit certainly has an oversupply of already. (We don't even have a local classical station, but three sports stations? Sure!) Fellow host David Newman moved over to WJR until he was silenced by a stroke that he never recovered from enough to return to the air - another damn shame, for he was an erudite and thoughtful host, something that most conservative talkers aren't. (Sometimes it's nice not to be yelled at, ya know?)
He was a hardcore libertarian and Second Amendment defender who gave much airtime to those who were anathema to the liberal Gestapo that controls the MSM and as a result had a big impact on my political enlightenment. Sometimes he strayed into Black Helicopter territory, but he wasn't faking it to be controversial. He believed what he said and encourage others to think and to "check your premises", something I can readily tell most liberals can't and won't do, lest they implode under the sheer weight of their own bullsh*t.
Check out the Detroit Free Press story as well as the comments of Lew Rockwell.

Freedom, Responsibility ... and What? Social Security Reform — An Explanation
I originally caught this P.J. O'Rourke article in The Atlantic recently and meant to mention it, but got busy and didn't have a link to make it easy for you to check it out. (Sending web surfers to a bookstore is a bit tricky, ya know?) Well, the Cato Institute was kind enough to reprint it and I strongly recommend you check it out.
P.J.'s rep as a humorist obscures his ability to make what's promoted as being too arcane for mere mortals painfully simple to grasp by anyone. Bob Costas, on his "Later" show, pointed out the Rolling Stone piece P.J. wrote that explained the S&L scandal in simple terms. I've never bought the idea that people are too stupid to understand politics and the economy when they can manage fantasy football leagues and speak Klingon - the only thing stopping them from understanding the scam politicians are running on us is their own willful ignorance, with a dollop of fear of finding out what the scoundrels are up to.
The Social Security Trust Fund that's supposed to last us until 2042 — there isn't any money in it. There never was. Modern money, so-called "fiat money," is a government IOU. The government cannot create a trust fund by saving its own IOUs any more than I can create a trust fund by writing "I start getting money when I turn twenty-one" on a piece of paper. The Social Security Trust Fund is just such a piece of paper. Except it says, "I start getting money when I turn sixty-five — the government promises."
Consult American Indians for a further discussion of government promises.
Social Security is a Ponzi scheme. If you or I tried to run a pyramid scam like this, we'd go to prison. The government, however, is free to give us the Unlubed Fist® and then tell us we're ungrateful for not wanting a second helping of SOL.
Wake up before it's too late!!!

Demagoguery Unleashed and the Stupid Party is Incapable of Defending the Truth!
A lot of noise and lies coming on about Social Security reform from the Left who are refusing to discuss what they themselves called a "crisis", now claiming Dubya is lying by using the same adjective. They want the concept of private accounts to be taken off the table before they play ball, which means that they demand that you have NO CHOICE about what happens to your own money. More hypocrisy from the Party that claims it's all about choice? DUH!!!
Anyway, the badasses over at Powerline posted a wonderfully succinct item called "Demagoguery Unleashed" which points up the issue quite neatly and shows how the Big Lie tactics of the Left are likely to trump the befuddled and idiotic Stupid Party, thus condemning many to eternal poverty and dependance upon a government that views us as little more than cows to milk and sheep to shear and WE LIKE IT!!!
The Democrats put on a sad spectacle at the Capitol today, rallying their armies of the ignorant to oppose any reform in the Social Security system:
This really is demagoguery at its worst. Federal employees already have a private contribution plan. No member of Congress relies on Social Security for his or her retirement. I doubt whether any Democratic member of Congress really believes that Social Security reform would be a bad thing. But naked politics rules, and the Democrats are once again betting that the ill-informed will be a majority on this issue.
In a pitifully inadequate counterpoint to the Democrats' raucous, partisan demonstration, Secretary of the Treasury John Snow participated in "Teach Children to Save Day" by giving a talk on the importance of being thrifty to a fifth-grade class in the District:
Of course those children would be better off saving than hoping to someday receive government checks. But the Social Security program makes it impossible for many millions of Americans to save, by sucking up the 15% of their incomes that otherwise could be available for saving. By making saving impossible, it relegates millions of Americans to retirement on the dole, at the whim of Congress. This doesn't apply to wealthy or prosperous Americans, who save through 401(k) programs and other vehicles, and essentially ignore the Social Security system, but Social Security destroys the potential for a secure, independent retirement for many millions of blue collar and middle-income Americans. The Democratic Party's cynical exploitation of these people is one of the scandals of the current political era.
The Democrats are pure fascists to the core and are opposed to freedom for anyone but their chosen cronies, yet get away with pretending that they are anything but totalitarian thugs.
Who will stand up for the Truth and stand against them?
Certainly not the Stupid Party and their inarticulate figurehead Prez Dubya.
We are truly f*cked. Do you care? Didn't think so. Go watch the game. Oooooh, A-Rod hit three home runs! No problems....no problems at all....

Katie Couric an Evil Witch? What's Next? The Pope's Catholic?!?
In a rare break with their fellow travellers, The New York Times spills the dirt as "'Today' Seeks Yesterday's Glory" and reveals that -
For more than a decade Katie Couric has reigned as the Everywoman of morning television. NBC considered her so critical to restoring the pre-eminence of "Today" after the disaster known as Deborah Norville that in 2001 the network gave her a $60 million contract over four-and-a-half years to keep her from defecting. Inevitably, Ms. Couric's on-air persona changed, along with her appearance and pay scale. But lately her image has grown downright scary: America's girl next door has morphed into the mercurial diva down the hall. At the first sound of her peremptory voice and clickety stiletto heels, people dart behind doors and douse the lights.
But "Today" has turned her popularity into a Marxist-style cult of personality. The camera fixates on Ms. Couric's legs during interviews, she performs in innumerable skits and stunts, and her clowning is given center stage even during news events. "Today" hit a low point in July, when Saddam Hussein appeared in a Baghdad courtroom to hear the charges he will face when he goes to trial as a war criminal. All the networks interrupted their programming to show live images of Mr. Hussein - all except NBC. "Today" stayed on Ms. Couric swatting shuttlecocks with the United States Olympic badminton team.
My old girlfriend looked frighteningly like the perky Katie Couric when she cut her hair and in the days when I was possibly inclined to get up early enough to catch a morning news show, Katie was cute and all, but lately she's been your typical bitter, angry Manhattan limousine liberal harridan who parks her kids in the 87th St. Y day care (or wherever it is) and wears shoes priced out of the range of the "Sex In The City" pack, yet sneers at the American women of the Flyover nether regions for wanting to be able to stay home with their kids if only the brutal tax system didn't force them to work for Uncle Sam.
That Katie's a hypocritical twit is old news to anyone familiar with "Spin Sisters: How the Women of the Media Sell Unhappiness -- and Liberalism -- to the Women of America" by Myrna Blyth. Check it out.

Because Who Cares What the Little People Think Anyway?
Taking a break from her successful Zsa Zsa Gabor-impersonating business and her sideline polishing Bill Maher's knob, Arianna Huffington is launching a celebrity blog site which will provide a one-stop brainwashing outlet for people who can't think on their own and thus look to the famous for guidance, because God forbid anyone not officially approved to voice an opinion somehow gains the ability to disburse their views.
She has lined up more than 250 of what she calls "the most creative minds" in the country to write a group blog that will range over topics from politics and entertainment to sports and religion. It is essentially a nonstop virtual talk show that will be part of a Web site that will also serve up breaking news around the clock. It is to be introduced May 9.
Having prominent people join the blogosphere, Ms. Huffington said in an interview, "is an affirmation of its success and will only enrich and strengthen its impact on the national conversation." Among those signed up to contribute are Walter Cronkite, David Mamet, Nora Ephron, Warren Beatty, James Fallows, Vernon E. Jordan Jr., Maggie Gyllenhaal, Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr., Diane Keaton, Norman Mailer and Mortimer B. Zuckerman.
Yeah, right. Because we all have those moments when discussing the issues of the day and we suddenly realized that we don't know what Maggie Gyllenhaal has to say on the subject.

Does Drew Barrymore Sh*t in the Woods?
Why, yes she does, according to Celebs Ignore Death, Poverty on MTV Enviro Series which details the great pride and joy multi-million celebs feel in watching simple peasants live in squalor and poverty and how they believe we should attempt to emulate these poor souls example.
Note that I said "we" and not "they" cuz the day Cameron and Drew give up their luxurious lives, famous boyfriends (Justin Timberlake and that drummer from The Strokes) and an instant two-way link with Paris Hilton will be the day after an asteroid has pounded the Earth into space rubble.
But, do as they say, not as they do until then, right?

Cookie Monster Butt-Raped by Liberals!!!
(OK, that's a screaming yellow headline, but you aren't gonna skim by it without looking, are you?)
This went down a while ago, but Jonah Goldberg at National Review Online has a piece about the decision to have Cookie Monster from "Sesame Street" eat fewer cookies because the hand-wringing nannies of political correctness are concerned about American youth being tubby lardbutts, as if giving the brats Playstation 2 and Madden instead of a football and a directive to go outside and play had nothing to do with it. Here's the punchline:
In fact, that’s what makes this decision so hypocritical. Sesame Street normally drenches kids with “be true to yourself” pap and identity politics. In one episode, Elmo and Whoopi Goldberg (no relation) have a long talk about how they’d never want to give up, respectively, their skin or fur color because that would be changing who they are. Well, the hue of Elmo’s fur is less essential to his identity than Cookie Monster’s gluttony is to his. Rosita, the Hispanic Muppet, is often told not to be ashamed of her accent because that’s just a part of who she is. Maybe they should ditch it, in the name of good diction. Heck, maybe the kids in wheelchairs should get up and walk next season because we’re all in favor of kids being able to walk.
Go read it all.

NY Times Hypocrisy on the Death Penalty and Euthanasia.
Andy McCarthy notes on The Corner that the Times, well, let's just read it all...
It was only a month ago, during the Terri Schiavo controversy, that the New York Times, dubiously assuming Terri was in fact in a persistent vegetative state, was editorializing about how sensible it was for the Florida courts to have accepted the "testimony of her husband that [Terri] would have chosen to die rather than live indefinitely in such condition."
Now comes today's interesting report from the Times's Eric Lichtblau about Zacarias Moussaoui's apparent intention to plead guilty to participation in the 9/11 conspiracy. Such a plea could result in imposition of the death penalty. Upon noting that, in a letter to the court, Moussaoui has "asked to be sentenced to death," Lichtblau speculates: “One question likely to be raised by defense lawyers is whether Mr. Moussaoui's desire to be executed is, by itself, evidence that he may be mentally unfit.”
The Times, as ever, sports all the trendy, progressive pieties. It is in euthanasia’s “right to die” vanguard, but it is revolted by the death penalty, even for mass murderers.
So, follow the logic: Expression of the supposed choice to die, if purportedly made by an innocent but inconvenient person, based on “proof” of the most suspect nature, must at all costs be deferred to on the theory that it is a personal and thoughtful decision. To the contrary, expression of the choice to die by a guilty terrorist, proved indisputably in an unambiguous written assertion by the person himself, is actually evidence that the person is “mentally unfit” on the theory that, well, who in his right mind would make such a personal choice to die?
Got it?
Who said Terri would have been better off if she were a terrorist?
How many examples of liberal hatred of women and the weak and love for killers and thugs will it take before people wake up?

"What Liberals Want..."
...is the title of piece by Powerliner John Hinderaker discussing the insane fantasies of socialist Utopia to be created out of thin air by liberal judges and how the Left's jihad against Dubya's nominees has nothing to do with their being "extreme" and everything to do with remaking America via irrevocable judicial fiat. It just goes to show that for all their blather about democracy and empowering the people, liberals seek to rule by dictate and not democracy. The punchline of the article is...
The left makes no secret of its intentions where the Constitution is concerned. It wants to change it, in ways that have nothing to do with what the document actually says. It wants the Constitution to enshrine its own policy preferences--thus freeing it from the tiresome necessity of winning elections. And how will the Constitution be changed? Through a constitutional convention, or a vote of two-thirds of the state legislatures? Of course not. The whole problem, from the liberal perspective, is that they can't get democratically elected bodies to enact their agenda. As one of the Yale conference participants said: "We don't have much choice other than to believe deeply in the courts--where else do we turn?" The new, improved Constitution will come about through judicial re-interpretation. It only awaits, perhaps, the election of the next Democratic president.
IF THE IDEA OF A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to government-funded child care, "adequate" recreation, and $80,000 in cash seems outlandish, remember that these concepts are no more eccentric than the idea of a right to abortion was, prior to Roe v. Wade. As a law school exercise in 1972, my class was charged with trying to formulate an argument for a constitutional right to abortion. We were stumped. None of us could think of one. A few months later, the "right" to abortion was born.
So Republicans are right to put top priority on the president's ability to get a vote on his judicial nominations. Liberal interest groups have flatly declared their intention to filibuster any nominee to the Supreme Court whom they regard as conservative. The stakes couldn't be higher.
The reference to "$80,000 in cash" comes from a proposal that "Economic citizenship--stakeholder society in which every young adult gets a form of citizenship inheritance of $80,000, funded by a wealth tax . . ." That's right, the rich will be raped and kids will be handed enough money to buy a Porsche. If you saw the "Chappelle's Show" skit about what happens when blacks all get a billion dollars each for slavery reparations, you have a hint as to how ridiculous this idea is.
But it could happen. Scary. =O

So Much Love For Benny 16 From Those Tolerant Liberals!
Spotted over at The Kerry Spot were these calm, dispassionate musings about the new Pope:
Boy, It does sound like they are going to be installing "showers" and "ovens" at the Vatican.
I see people talking about the Rat Pope's homophobia, misogyny (did his doctoral thesis on St. Augustine!), intolerance, rigid hard-line attitudes, his almost blatant electioneering from the Vatican for Bush, his condemnation of other faiths and on and on and on and on.
Well, now it is time to turn attention to the Biblical admonitions against unclean menstruating women and a return to animal sacrifice.
The saddest part is that they only took 2 days to pick this guy. That means it was pretty unanimous. I can't wait to see what dark ages this takes us to.
Hail to the new Nazi Pope! Back to the Dark Ages!
Hile Pope Ratzinger .....no wonder so many people have left the catholic church....now they can try to strenthen their flock via 3rd world countries....
Well, that explainds the red, black and white robes......what a f***** up world....a Nazi Pope...
What can one expect from a filthy Nazi?
the catholic church has always trived on violence - any belief that it is a peaceful church is delusional.
This from a Nazi bastard wearing a dress - and no doubt with a past in child-molesting. Can we say projecting our sexual guilt on others, perhaps?
WHY WHY WHY anyone would belong to this Church is beyond me. Especially if you are gay OR a woman. It's almost like the gay Log Cabin Repubs. But worse.
The only way the Catholic Church will change is for people to wake up and see they are fools for following it or continuing to call themselves Catholic. Surely of the 60 million americans who do - only a handful actually follow it all to a T anyway. WAKE up SHEEPLE!
I guess he doesn't get called Holy Father - he'd prefer Mein Fuhrer.
Now that we have Pope Adolf 1, that should be more clear to everyone.
Maybe they're trying to incite the Religious War that every right winger has been waiting for for so long. The arrogance and insensitivity involved with putting a freak like this in charge of the kathlick church is sure to piss off a lot of people (Jews, WWII vets of all religions and nationalities). Perhaps someone will finally nuke vatican city after this brilliant move by 115 senile, out-of-touch old men (in dresses).
Yet, if you listen to Lefty Hate Speech Radio (formerly the Hate Speech Network, aka Air AmeriKKKa, in honor of Robert Byrd), all you'll hear is about how intolerant and hateful non-liberals are and how they're so much more enlightened because they're open to differing ideas and aren't rigidly dogmatic.
*cough*bullsh*t*cough*
Listening to the local LHSR hostess - name escapes me, but her claim to fame is losing to Barack Obama in a state rep race in IL (something she sounds bitter about the screw-job the Dem Party gave her, but she's being a team player about it) - she had some guy from one of those "progressive" Christian groups who was yelping about "Dominionism", the premise that Red State Jesus freaks were seeking to take over the government and establish a theocracy (another LHSR fright wig) here because they believe that they know God's will and how wrong that is and blah-blah-woof-woof.
I guess the bloodlust of the Left to rule us with the Iron Fist of a SECULAR THEOCRACY - a system of tyranny in which these self-annointed Man-Gods exert total control over the subjugated and demand that no gods, especially that capital-G "God", be put before them - is something different and not such a bad thing.
Maybe a Holy War would be a good thing. Kill 'em all and let God/Allah/Howard Dean sort 'em out. Hmmm....

Why the Liberals Can't Keep Air America From Spiraling In
Nothing new here to those no huffing Michael Moore's flatuence, but it's still good to get a reality check on the Hate Speech Network.

Stupid Stupid Party Tricks and the Lies of the MSM.
So the suspected bogus "talking points memo" that was being promoted by the MSM as coming from Stupid Party High Command about how to exploit the Terri Schiavo mess turns out to be REAL, having been written by Sen. Mel Martinez's legal counsel, Brian Darling, who has resigned and should be horsewhipped and left in stocks in the town square as an example.
The Kerry Spot on National Review Online has good observations:
In this blogging world, sometimes you’re going to find a superscript ‘th’. And sometimes you’re going to find a muddier situation, in which a foolish GOP staffer tried to play Karl Rove to the whole party without using spellcheck or checking bill numbers. But I think the bloggers did their job well in this one. Mickey Kaus nails it:
Certainly whatever legitimate valence Allen's 'memo' story had depended almost entirely on the impression that the memo revealed and represented the strategy of the GOP leaders who pushed the Schiavo bill. If all that was involved was a staff memo Martinez gave to Harkin, Allen's story was way out of whack. The memo wasn't close to being worth the play it got in WaPo or in Douglass' report.
Also note that Kaus ate his Wheaties this morning and is blogging up a storm. Check out his sharp assessment of the structure of the Democratic Party, in response to Bill Bradley’s op-ed:
Bradley wants the Democrats to emulate Republicans and generate ideas from a stable, pyramid-like institutional base — with "Democratic policy organizations" engaged in the "patient, long term development of new ideas or of new ways to sell old ideas." Just plug in a candidate at the top of this institutional pyramid and ... victory!
The problem, of course, is that the Democratic party's most stable institutional elements are also its most problematic elements: 1) unions; 2) the civil rights and Latino lobbies; 3) the senior lobby (AARP); 4) institutional feminists (NOW); 5) trial lawyers; 6) Iowa-caucus style "progressives;" and 7) Hollywood emoters. If a national problem could be solved without trampling on the interests of this institutional base, Democrats would have solved it in the decades when they were in power. What's left are the problems that can't be solved — even solved in accordance with liberal principles — without trampling on these liberal interest groups: competitiveness, for example, or public education, or entitlement reform. If the Dems' permanent institutional base is what gets to "develop" and "hone" the ideas to be adopted by the party's presidential nominee, then the Democrats will in perpetuity be the party of union work rules, lousy teachers, mediocre schools, protectionism, racial preferences, unafforadable entitlements, amnesty for illegals and offensive rap lyrics! That winning collection gets you, what, 35%?
The MSM, so desperate to get back at those hated Stupid Party people, still overplayed their hands, but what's new?
Be sure to check out Power Line's coverage, as well as this post by Michelle Malkin and this post which showcases the typical misogyny of liberals. They really, REALLY hate women, but as long as abortion is available, a lot of women seem to be cool with the abuse.

Liberal Tolerance Is Like A Pie In The Face.
First Weekly Standard editor William Kristol then liberal frightwig Pat Buchanan get pies and salad dressing thrown at them, now David Horowitz, president of the Center for the Study of Popular Culture and former Communist now Leftist nemesis got hit with a pie:
A conservative activist who criticizes what he calls the leftist domination of college campuses was struck with a pie Wednesday night at Butler University.
Horowitz's supporters followed the assailants out of the hall, and confronted them with what a witness called "pushing and shoving." However, the attackers got away.
"There's a wave of violence on college campuses, committed by what I'd call fascists opposing conservatives," Horowitz said. "It's one step from that to injury."
When Buchanan got sauced, a poster on a board I frequent mused that next time it could be hydrochloric acid. I hope that wasn't wishful thinking, but honestly, isn't it only a matter of time before one of these unhinged fascists, fueled by Michael Moore movies and Air America hate speech crosses the line and hurts someone?
And don't you know that the vitriol rightfully thrown at crackpot abortionist killers will NOT be present in the aftermath?

One Down, How Many More To Go?
Well, it didn't take long for the next Terri Schiavo to present herself and this one's a doozy because unlike Terri, this woman has a living will that specifies that she's not to be killed under the conditions she's currently in, yet a granddaughter - who coincidentally is the sole beneficiary of the estate - has gotten the courts to assist in murder. Jump over to Thrown Back and read all the details, but here's a snip:
85 year-old Mae Margourik of LaGrange, Georgia, is currently being deprived of nutrition and hydration at the request of her granddaughter, Beth Gaddy. Mrs. Margourik suffered an aortic dissection 2 weeks ago and was hospitalized. Though her doctors have said that she is not terminally ill, Ms. Gaddy declared that she held medical power of attorney for Mae, and had her transferred to the LaGrange Hospice. Later investigation revealed that Ms. Gaddy did not in fact have such power of attorney. Furthermore, Mae's Living Will provides that nutrition and hydration are to be withheld only if she is comatose or vegetative. Mae is in neither condition. Neither is her condition terminal.
The similarities of Mae Margourik's situation and Terri Schiavo's are obvious: Once again we have a family divided over what care should be given to a seriously ill relative. And once again, we have a judge playing God with someone's life. But what is different, and in a sense worse, is that Mae is being deprived of food and water in clear contravention of her own stated wishes, and at the request of someone who should have no standing under Georgia law.
Nice.

DIRK™ Recommends: "Sin City"!!!
Caught it over the weekend and thought it was a blast, especially for people who think that "A Clockwork Orange" and "American Psycho" are comedies. If I get a chance, I'll expound more later, but until then, read this Wired article, "The Man Who Shot Sin City", about renagade film pimp Robert Rodriguez and check out this smoking shot of Devon Aoki who plays Miho, samauri assassin for the hookers of Old Town:
I've never been too fond of Aoki's looks - she looks like an alien to me - but when she's getting down to bidness, hoowah!!!

Stupid Party Lives Up To Their Bad Reputations! Part 2!!
Looks like the Stupid Party doesn't seem to mind being hammered with the club of being blue-nosed killjoys as yet another GOP politician makes dire threats to those deemed "obscene".
In a further example of why they aren't conservatives, Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner III (SP-WI) wants to exact CRIMINAL penalties against broadcasters for their stupid behavior.
The chairman of one of the entertainment industry's most important congressional committees says he wants to take the enforcement of broadcast decency standards into the realm of criminal prosecution.
Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner III, R-Wis., told cable industry executives attending the National Cable & Telecommunications Assn. conference here on Monday that criminal prosecution would be a more efficient way to enforce the indecency regulations.
"I'd prefer using the criminal process rather than the regulatory process," Sensenbrenner told the executives.
Yeah, that's gonna work. Fill the prisons with public menaces like Janet Jackson's stupid right breast and Tommy Chong and let all those rapists and murderers go free, you know, FOR THE CHILDREN.
Spare me.

Pope Said in Grave Condition
The end appears near and those who celebrated the murder of Terri Schiavo are probably stocking up for an all-weekend bacchanal to celebrate the demise of a mighty thorn in their sides, especially his aid in breaking his native Poland free of Communist control. (The Left HATES anyone who opposes their fascist totalitarianism.)
It's been sad to see the Pope in such poor health for so long and have thought it's too bad that there is no Papal retirement system so he could spend the rest of his days in quiet.

More Berger Cover-up Details...
...are at washingtonpost.com and it makes me wonder what it's gonna take before people wake the f*ck up about the open criminal activities of the Clinton Gang members.
Sandy Berger was Clinton's National Security Advisor, the same gig Condi Rice had before becoming Secretary of State and he removed and destroyed documents which would've shown how the Clinton Regime failed to protect this country.
The deal's terms make clear that Berger spoke falsely last summer in public claims that in 2003 he twice inadvertently walked off with copies of a classified document during visits to the National Archives, then later lost them.
He described the episode last summer as "an honest mistake." Yesterday, a Berger associate who declined to be identified by name but was speaking with Berger's permission said: "He recognizes what he did was wrong. . . . It was not inadvertent."
Under terms negotiated by Berger's attorneys and the Justice Department, he has agreed to pay a $10,000 fine and accept a three-year suspension of his national security clearance. These terms must be accepted by a judge before they are final, but Berger's associates said yesterday he believes that closure is near on what has been an embarrassing episode during which he repeatedly misled people about what happened during two visits to the National Archives in September and October 2003.
Lanny Breuer, Berger's attorney, said in a statement: "Mr. Berger has cooperated fully with the Department of Justice and is pleased that a resolution appears very near. He accepts complete responsibility for his actions, and regrets the mistakes he made during his review of documents at the National Archives."
The terms of Berger's agreement required him to acknowledge to the Justice Department the circumstances of the episode. Rather than misplacing or unintentionally throwing away three of the five copies he took from the archives, as the former national security adviser earlier maintained, he shredded them with a pair of scissors late one evening at the downtown offices of his international consulting business.
The document, written by former National Security Council terrorism expert Richard A. Clarke, was an "after-action review" prepared in early 2000 detailing the administration's actions to thwart terrorist attacks during the millennium celebration. It contained considerable discussion about the administration's awareness of the rising threat of attacks on U.S. soil.
National Archives officials almost immediately suspected that Berger had removed materials after his Oct. 2, 2003, visit. They called Bruce R. Lindsey, a former White House lawyer and Clinton's liaison to the archives to complain. Lindsey, sources said, called Berger, who soon acknowledged to archives officials that he had removed documents -- by accident, he told them -- and returned notes that he made, as well as the two documents he had not destroyed.
A criminal investigation, which eventually brought witnesses before a grand jury, was soon underway. The probe came to light last July, prompting Berger's resignation as a senior foreign policy adviser to 2004 Democratic nominee John F. Kerry.
Berger's archives visit occurred as he was reviewing materials as a designated representative of the Clinton administration to the national commission investigating the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The question of what Clinton knew and did about the emerging al Qaeda threat before leaving office in January 2001 was acutely sensitive, as suggested by Berger's determination to spend hours poring over the Clarke report before his testimony.
1. What does it take to PERMANENTLY lose your security clearance?!?!?
B. Notice that this is a 3-year ban which means Sandy can go back to stealing documents and destroying evidence in 2008. So what? Who's the presumed Dem candidate for the next Election? Come on, think.....THAT'S RIGHT!!!! Hillary! Clinton! Nice to know that Sandy will make everything about the Clinton Regime's serial treasons go down the Memory Hole and Hillary! to don her faux crucifix of VRWC victimhood.
3. A Clinton Gang member who lies at first then fesses up for a wrist slap later? Haven't seen that one before. [/irony]
4. When is Dubya gonna be held to account for keeping fellow CG member George Tenet on board to fail repeatedly before getting a medal?
5. Misdemeanor? Treason is a misdemeanor?!?!?
We're down the rabbit hole, folks.

Cover-Up Accomplished!!
This has been off the radar since before the Election, but people with memories longer than 15 minutes should recall that Clinton henchman Sandy Burger had been suspected of removing sensitive documents from the National Archives by stuffing them in his socks and underwear - a felony for normal folks like you or me, but not if you're part of the criminal enterprise known as the CLinton Regime who set America up for 9/11 with their treasonous negligence.
Well, Power Line is as pissed about the deal he copped as I am, so here's their comment in toto:
Former National Security Adviser Sandy Berger got away with a criminal cover-up today when he pled guilty to a misdemeanor in connection with his theft of sensitive documents from the National Archives.
It is undisputed that Berger illegally stuffed original documents relating to America's response to the threat of Islamic terrorism into his coat, pants and briefcase. Berger then destroyed a number of these top-secret documents, so that they will never see the light of day. The idea that this was "an honest mistake," as Berger now claims, is ridiculous. Obviously, he was trying to destroy documents that showed the negligence of the Clinton administration--of which he was a key member--in dealing with the threat of terrorism. Key documents relating to our government's inadequate reaction to the threat of Islamic terrorism prior to Sept. 11 are now gone forever, successfully purged from the historical record by one of Bill Clinton's most loyal servants. This plea bargain appears, on its face, to be a disgrace. If anyone can think of a reason why this is not correct, please let us know.
Anyone else notice the irony of this happening on the day that the report from the Presidential Commission looking into the intelligence failures running up to Gulf War 2: Electric Boogaloo is released allowing the media to rehash the "Dubya iz stoopid" shibboleth some more?
The dumbest things Team Dubya did was to allow George Tenet, a Clinton stooge, to stay on as CIA chief, both when they took office and then after 9/11. After all this and the botched WMD stuff, then he gets to leave on his own AND gets a f*cking medal from Dubya for his service! WTF??!?! What do you have to do to get some wrist-slapping from these jokers?!?
