The Never-Ending Stupidity of Nancy Pelosi Never Ends.

Just as Barry O'Bama stupidly said that 10,000 people died in a tornado while campaigning last year (actual death toll: 12), now we have Nancy Pelosi - who is only two heartbeats from the Presidency - stating that we lose 500 MILLION American jobs each month. Um, the population of the USA is about 300 million, Nan.

The comments on YouTube are cute: They must be in the other seven states!!!! and "If Palin had said this, it would be covered wall-to-wall." No kidding on the latter. I was watching some things over the weekend and the "Sarah Palin is such a dumb bitch with a retard kid" meme was spewed repeatedly.

This is the liberal Big Lie tactics in action, folks. Obama thinks there are 57 states and staffs his regime with criminals; Biden is a non-stop font of stupidity; Pelosi vomits this gaffe a week after saying that funding abortions and contraceptives is stimulative to the economy by removing all those costly babies from the balance sheets - why hasn't the Catholic Church excommunicated this loser? - and the woman who is the self-made Governor of the nation's largest state is smeared as an idiot? Yeah, right.

UPDATE: I posted this comment over on Malkin's item about this:

1. Imagine the joyous noises the Left would be making if Sarah Palin said something a fraction as stupid as this.

B. They said it was too risky to have someone like Moose-Slayer only a heartbeat from the presidency, but it’s OK to have San Fran Nan a mere TWO heartbeats away, especially when one is a secret smoker with a high stress job and the other is addicted to hair plugs and probably toxic teeth cleaning products?

3. In her defense, it is entirely possible for 500 million American jobs to be lost: count India and China as two of Barry’s 7 extra states.

Grace Jones: Ignorant On Top of Being Irrelevant

Starving for attention since no one has cared about her since long back in the last century, cultural footnote Grace Jones did the surest thing to get some ink these days: bashed Sarah Palin in a display of shocking courage against certain death for her heresy. (Yes, I'm being really, really sarcastic.)

"I can't stand Sarah Palin. I bet a woman like that has no sense of humour."
I guess Grace was busy visually inspecting her colon and thus missed Moose-Slayer's appearance on "SNL" a few weeks back.

Pity the poor diva, folks, she's just following the herd.

"Can you imagine if an Obama effigy were hung from a noose?"

Malkin asks in the wake of a Sarah Palin effigy being hung in West Hollywood.

Conservatives are the ones being accused of "insane rage"?!? ORLY?

While Moose-Slayer Answers Press Questions, Dr. Teeth Hides. Why?

Here's something that the Treason Media can't believe they have to report: Sarah Palin is regularly meeting the press while Joe Biden hasn't held a press conference in over a month.

It was less than two weeks ago when Sarah Palin astonished her traveling press corps by lifting the curtain (literally) and journeying to the back of her campaign plane to answer reporters’ questions for the first time after 40 days on the campaign trail. But the candidate who has been criticized for having a bunker mentality when it came to the national media can now lay legitimate claim to being more accessible than either Joe Biden or Barack Obama.

In the past two days alone, Palin has answered questions from her national press corps on three separate occasions. On Saturday, she held another plane availability, and on Sunday, she offered an impromptu press conference on the tarmac upon landing in Colorado Springs. A few minutes later, she answered even more questions from reporters during an off-the-record stop at a local ice cream shop.

By contrast, Biden hasn’t held a press conference in more than a month, and Obama hasn’t taken questions from his full traveling press corps since the end of September.
McCain has also blown off the media after being nice to them forever, but considering their blatant advocacy for Obama and smearing of his wife, what's to be gained by giving them the time of day?

"She is not a woman - She is a Republican"

In case you doubted the raging hatred liberals have for those who don't goosestep properly:

Flip the script: Imagine if a non-liberal had a bumper sticker that slammed a liberal as being sub-human. Wouldn't that be treated with howls of protest? But misogyny toward conservative women is A-OK to the "feminist" Left.

Moose-Slayer Does "SNL".

No one can say she's not a good sport.

Would the Obamessiah stand there while people made cracks about him? Of course not! His SNL appearance a year ago had him playing himself at a Halloween party. No one dissed The One. Judging from the systematic destruction Joe the Plumber is receiving, that won't be changing when he assumes the throne.

Treason Media Math: 13 Is Overwhelmingly Bigger than 11.

Take a look at these two screen shots:

The top one shows 13 people in a CNN focus group who thought the lying Botoxed Joe Biden won the veep debate last week. The bottom shows that 11 thought Moose-Slayer won. 13-11 is just one vote away from being a 50-50 split, right? Now, watch this:

Yep, that's right - to Soledad O'Brien it looks like a slam dunk. (For Biden, natch.) As Creative Minority Report puts it:

I'd say about half the hands go up. O'Brien then inexplicably says, "So, looks overwhelming." Then she asks who thought Palin won. Again, about half the hands go up and she describes it as "small hands." Then she quickly declares Biden the winner and calls it a day.

Hey, how about a roll call, Soledad? Now to my eye, it looks pretty evenly split. I counted 12 for Biden and 11 for Palin. But take a look for yourself. Call me naive, but this kind of blatant bias still has the power to surprise me a little still. And for some reason when it comes to Sarah Palin, the media has just lost any connection with reality, decency, fairness...etc...

Now, does she forget that we can see her? Or does she think we can't count? Does she not know about TiVo? Or perhaps she can't imagine a universe that would allow the thought of Sarah Palin whooping up on her candidate?
This is how the Treason Media is going to spin it until their Anointed Fuhrer is placed on the throne - tell us, "Who are you going to believe: us or your lying eyes?

Sarah Palin Sex Tape!!

Why does this look and sound like "Fargo" as directed by David Lynch or Fellini?

The 19 Most Ridiculous Moments From the VP Debate

Several writers from Cracked.com chatted up the Moose-Slayer vs. Dr. Liar Teeth debate and selected passages are here:

# 8:52 PM Dan O’Brien -What’s the difference between a pitbull and a hockey mom?
# 8:53 PM Dan O’Brien -I don’t want to have sex with a pitbull in the parking lot behind a Dennys.
=============
# 9:23 PM Ross Wolinsky -Who’s Moose? Is that one of her kids?
# 9:23 PM Dan O’Brien -No, her kids are Bagel, Trat and Sauron.
# 9:23 PM Michael Swaim -I thought it was Odin, Brussels and Camembert.
# 9:24 PM Dan O’Brien -Pooter, Stank and Obermeyer.
Some good clean raunchy rude fun at the link.

CFE: Calling Out Politco's Lunacy.

THE BACKGROUND: As I noted in the debate coverage, Politco's John Harris was leading the charge of Palin bashing immediately after her evisceration of woeful Joe Biden. He has since vomited those shibboleths onto his laptop - that means a portable computer in this case - and this waste of bandwidth is the work product. Note the sneering tone he uses to slap the woman while he then lovingly gorfs the shaft of Biden:

By that standard, she got out alive, though there were white-knuckle moments along the way: questions that were answered with painfully obvious talking points that betrayed scant knowledge of the issue at hand, and sometimes little relevance to the question that had been asked.

To the contrary, it is hard to count any objective measures by which Biden did not clearly win the encounter. She looked like she trying to get people to take her seriously. He looked like he was running for vice president. His answers were more responsive to the questions, far more detailed and less rhetorical.

On at least ten occasions, Palin gave answers that were nonspecific, completely generic, pivoted away from the question at hand, or simply ignored it: on global warming, an Iraq exit strategy, Iran and Pakistan, Iranian diplomacy, Israel-Palestine (and a follow-up), the nuclear trigger, interventionism, Cheney's vice presidency and her own greatest weakness.
If this joker hasn't seen a politician answer whatever way they want, despite what the question was, he's obviously just fallen off the turnip truck. Or is a liar. Now to his fellation of Biden:
Biden relentlessly and clearly delivered a specific message he had been assigned to hammer home: McCain-Palin would be four more years of Bush-Cheney. Biden mentioned President Bush more than a dozen times.

"Look, past is prologue, Gwen," he said at one point. "The issue is, how different is John McCain's policy going to be than George Bush's? I haven't heard anything yet."
"And his hot man-spunk fills my mouth with sunshine and rainbows!", Harris enthused. (I'm guessing.)

Now check how he hates on the person without a penis:
By contrast, Palin was in much more of a survival mode, barely delivering on her advisers' hopes that she would be aggressive with Biden, throwing gaffes and policies back at him. For the Alaska governor, it was policy as a second language — adequate, but not enlightening.

She twice referred to the U.S. commander in Afghanistan, Gen. David McKiernan, as "McClellan." Biden did not correct her.
I'm surprised that Harris didn't scold that fecund breeder for mispronouncing "nuclear", too.

That prompted this comment from moi (#262 on pg. 9):
The Obama Compulsive Disorder that has consumed much of the Treason Media continues to ravage the formerly-objective Politico, causing them to rave like lunatics in an Orwellian frenzy of declaring up down, left right, and Biden victorious when he was clearly shot, gutted, skinned and his Botoxed head mounted to hang on Sarah Palin's rec room wall.

As Biden yelled and acted as if he was about to turn green and burst out of his clothes, Palin smiled sweetly and slipped the blade between his ribs unchecked, making him even more angry. The now un-credible Gwen Ifill had to keep throwing Biden lifelines in the form of allowing him the last word and moving on before Palin could rebut his constant lies.

Jonah Goldberg posted on The Corner:

What struck me the most about the debate - and it probably helped having quintessential Obamaphiles in the room - was how Biden's "gravitas" is derived almost entirely from the fact that he can lie with absolute passion and conviction. He just plain made stuff up tonight. I read a long list tonight in my debate with Beinart here at Wash U, we can visit the details tomorrow.

Just a few: Flatly asserting that Obama never said he'd meet with Achmenijad; that absolute nonsense about spending more in a month in Iraq than we've spent in Afghanistan ("let me say it again," he said as if he was hammering home a real fact); the bit about McCain voting with Obama on raising taxes; his vote in favor of the war etc.

It's amazing how the impulse to see Biden as the more qualified and serious guy stems almost entirely from his ability to be a convincing b.s. artist. I'm not saying Palin was always honest or unrehearsed, but when she offers up a catchphrase or a talking point, you can tell. When Biden spews up a warm fog of deceitful gassbaggery the response seems to be "what a great grasp of the issues he has!"

His ability, nay his eagerness, to fake not only the "facts" but his sincerity is so shameless many pundits seem either mesmerized by it or scared to call him on it. I'd call his fakery passive aggressive except it's actually just aggressive aggressive. Beyond being a tool of trial lawyers, I never saw much similarity between Biden and John Edwards, but tonight I was really struck by how alike the two are. Edwards fakes being an everyman, and Biden does too. But his real fraud is intellectual seriousness. He talks like an intellectually mature person, but that's all it is - talk.

I saw John Harris in the vanguard of his water-carrying for Biden (and by extension, his Sith Lord Master Obama) on PBS and wondered if he fancied himself the next Joe Klein; destined to have a column in TIME where he can make up whatever lovely fantasies he wants to about non-liberals.

Politico obviously wishes to position itself as a loyal organ for Fuhrer Obama to issue his edicts to his subjects via. When you have no higher ambition than to be a stenographer to the ruling class, you really shouldn't masquerade as a "journalist".

Well and truly said. Here's another: F*ck Politico!

Palin vs. Biden - Round Only......FIGHT!!!

Well, for some reason, the prospects for the election are riding on this debate. How screwed up is that? Live-blogging and updating as needed...

• Gwen Ifill makes no mention of her giant conflict of interest. Nothing to see here. Move along.

• Crap. Had to reboot. Scrambling to catch up. Moose-Slayer is wearing a slick black outfit with heels. Biden isn't. She asked if she could call him Joe. Real small town polite.

• Right off the bat, Biden is throwing out incomprehensible streams of dates and numbers that don't make a point. Palin is really folksy and hitting the points. They're both talking a little fast with nervous energy. Palin has been talking to the camera like Obama did. Biden's been talking to Ifill, but has switched to the camera.

• 20 minutes in, she hasn't slipped up yet and has been popping off her spiel AND getting this folksy charm - it's VERY Reaganesque. Biden is coming off blustery and a little angry in his replies as he hurls out numbers. People can't follow numbers they hear - they need to see them - so he may be coming off yappy. OTOH, Palin is starting to sound a little canned. Then again, this isn't Lincoln-Douglas throwdown of Titans; these are smaller times we live in.

• Palin just regurgitated the "$700 billion to countries who don't like this" talking point about oil. Missed an opportunity to tie that number with the pork-slathered bailout bill. Ugh, her response to climate change got a little like "talking point refrigerator magnet" bingo. Biden has clearly indicated he worships at Al Gore's Church of the Almighty ManBearPig and blames climate change on mankind. This should earn him a ticket to a padded room, not the Veep House.

• Here goes the dynamite: Ifill asks about gay rights. Biden throws down 110% for gay everything. At least he's being honest, though he backs off from calling it "marriage". Palin is a little rough because she knows she's gonna get lit up unless she announces she's she's gay and all her children are Bristol's, including Bristol! XD They end up both saying they don't support gay marriage. Wanna bet that tomorrow's spin will be that she wants to kill gays? (j/k - you know it's gonna be that way.)

• Yikes, The Corner is down and Red State keeps dropping and their chat room is full.

• Iraq War: Biden thumps his lectern and promises to surrender in 16 months. Palin calls him out and calls it a "white flag of surrender". She's throwing his prior support for the troops and bashing of Obama before he became the veep pick back in his face and sticking the shiv in with a smile.

• I've noticed two times where Biden got off a slam that should've had a brief response from Palin, but Ifill quickly changed the subject to prevent anything getting in the way of her big book payday. What media bias?

• Palin pronounces it "NEW-cue-ler", so that's all it's gonna take for the Left to disqualify. Her folksy twang drives the coastal elites crazy. Too bad for them there are more unwashed heathens in the Flyover who talk like her then them.

• Biden is getting angry and yelling. I wonder if anyone is gonna call out his temper or whether only McCain is on temper watch? (j/k We know there's a double standard.) Ifill just allowed him another free shot. The way the questions and responses and rebuttals are stacked, Biden's getting the last word and thus the last impression. Oh jeez, while I was writing this, she gave Biden another one! She called him out for their backward-looking finger-pointing with a smile, but then wandering into canned slogans.

• Biden is getting madder. He's yelling more then McCain ever did. I wonder how this is playing with those dial groups. Whoops. Biden just talked himself into three corners and now is sighing like Al Gore. Uh-oh. Doesn't he remember what sighing did to the Goreacle. Now he's backing off on his yelled portion after she slapped him down.

• We're an hour in and Moose-Slayer is beating his ass and has only had a couple of talk-speaky moments. He's starting to come unglued and losing the ability to put together coherent answers. The gaffe machine Biden is starting to come to the fore. She's inside his head.

• Asked what they'd do if they became President, Biden says he'd follow Obama's plan to "reinstitute the middle class"? Que? How would you do that exactly? Wave your Emperor Wizard wand? Jeez. Palin says that she's gonna keep working on McCain about ANWR. "He didn't ask me to check my opinions at the door." KAPOW!!!

• 10:10 already? Wow! This is just sailing by like a rocket.

• Biden is playing the "I'm middle class card". Yeah, right! Palin threw down Reagan's "there you go again" and it sounded awesome! Unless she self-destructs in the next 20 minutes, no one is going to remember the bad interviews.

• OMG!!! She just SICK BURNED Biden by saying, "I guess that was a lame attempt at a joke because no one got it." After crapping himself, he came back with a smile, but man, he did not see that punch coming. The audience laughed. Wow.

• The knock on Palin coming in was that she was only good with a scripted bit and that the interviews showed she couldn't think on her feet. She must be a faster study than anyone could've believed because she's assembling on target replies on the fly. Biden's not doing badly from a mechanical viewpoint - he's not bumbling around - but he's lacking in charm in general and he's being KILLED by Palin's Dolly Parton vibe. (Her charm, not her rack!)

• BTW, I'm watching this on NBC because I heard that they (among others) have put up split-screens with both candidates up. PBS, which I've watched all prior political stuff on, doesn't.

• WTF?!? I think Biden just got to have an extra reply to spiel off a spittle-flecked rant about McCain. I need to see if that's what happened for sure, but if so, that's a pretty big favor Ifill granted her side. The Red State chat room has some comments about the time disparity.

• Closing comments - Palin takes a shot at the Treason Media by saying she appreciates speaking to the people without the filter of the media. ZING!!! A lot of little digs in the language she used, but it was a positive sunny outlook. Biden's closer was more of the dark, "Grapes of Wrath", misery where stray dogs are eating our elderly that is the stock and trade of the Democrats.

• The Winner? MOOSE-SLAYER!!!! Not even close, but Chuck Todd, the NBC News Political Director, has declared it meaningless. Yesterday, he said that the election was, for all intents and purposes, over because the Obamessiah had it in the bag, so we know how objective he is. Brokaw is positive toward Palin, but naturally tempered any praise.

• Flipping over to PBS, Mark Shields was bitching about how Dubya's tax cuts cause job losses - sane people say, "HUH?!?!?" - which means Palin killed and he's not happy. Wah. Presidential historian Richard Norton Smith said that the conservative pointy-heads who have be calling for Palin to GTFO - read: Kathleen Parker - will probably STFU. A woman (I'm missing the Chyrons) is annoyed by her folksiness - what did I say above? - so that's another sign the Left is back to crapping their pants.

A NY Times reporter (Kate Zernike) who's covering Palin said that the McCain people are pleased, but tempered it with the damn-with-faint-praise "She won by not losing" crack. John Harris from Politico declared Biden the winner, but that site has veered hard left in the past few weeks. He brings up the Couric interview as examples have how she sucked and ludicrously claimed that "she was hanging on for dear life" on her answers. I'm gonna have to take Politico off my RSS reader because they're no longer the balanced outfit they used to be. Too bad. Palin Derangement Syndrome and Obama Compulsive Disorder are ugly diseases.

Beschloss trots out the hoary trope about Lloyd Bentsen slapping down Dan Quayle with the "You're no Jack Kennedy" line but conveniently omits that Quayle got to be Veep and Bentsen didn't. The way they tell the story over and over, you'd think that Quayle turned into a pillar of salt after that crack.

• Flipped back to NBC and caught the end of a Truth Squad segment that was calling out Biden on misrepresenting a McCain position. Wish I could've seen more of this than the PBS blather of bitter partisans being sad. Brokaw just said that Biden's crew are glad that there was only one debate. Sounds like he saw the reality of Sarah Palin's killing, gutting and mounting of Biden's head on her rec room wall.

• Up next: John and Barry dance next Tuesday with Brokaw moderating. No word as to whether he has a book coming out.

• Nightline's panel of liberals all called it for Biden (No? Yes!) and pissed all over Palin. Matthew Dowd said that poor McCain has had two losses in a row (he said Obama won the last debate - I'm so suprised) and has little hope and should just go off on the ice floe to die. (Paraphrasing.) The divorce from reality of these guys is astonishing. My girlfriend called me up and I was surprised to hear she'd watched the debate and she thought Palin buried Biden and she's not anywhere near as politically, um, "engaged" as I am.

The Treason Media has ascended to propagandistic levels that would make Goebbels blush. The trope, "Who are you going to believe? Me or your lying eyes?", is writ large in Times Square-sized letters for all to see. If these guys were sports reporters, they'd be declaring the pro-in-name-only Detroit Lions undefeated and ready to repeat as Super Bowl champs.

Obama Compulsive Disorder has them going beyond just covering up Obama's close ties to terrorists, racists, and criminals to outright Orwellian DoubleSpeak where they tell you the exact opposite of what has happened. In a downpour, they'll tell you to have a barbecue because it's so nice. Will McCain speak the inconvenient truths about Obama that the Treason Media isn't covering? (I doubt it.)

• About The Corner being down:

I'm Deeply Sorry [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

We have at least five times the traffic we had last Friday night and our server couldn’t handle it. Most of us couldn’t access the NRO because of it. I am sorry. Cnn.com has more money so it doesn’t happen to them. We will do our darnedest with our resources that it never happens again.
A lot of the Cornerites are whining that she didn't break from McCain's unwillingness to defend free enterprise. How exactly would that work, kids? Yeesh. Babies.

• Charlie Rose's panel is in typical form, poo-pooing Moose-Slayer's performance and slobbering over Biden. Then they shifted to bashing McCain and just slamming everything he's done or tried to do as "failure". McCain's attempt to do something about the bailout was derided as rash while Obama's hanging back and doing nothing was hailed as stability. WTF?!?!? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills listening to these jokers! Now they're saying he's angry and annoyed - Mark Halperin said he's "a big mess...angry guy", while Obama is "cool". Shameless. Orwellian. Disgusting.

Gwen Ifill, Republican Wimps, and the Veep Debate

With the big debate between Moose-Slayer and Dr. Teeth a mere eight hours away, the coverage of the Treason Media is getting revved up with hopes that Palin will faceplant like she did in the gotcha ambush interviews with Charles Gibson and Katie Couric. Only this week has she been appearing on friendly conservative talk radio shows like Hugh Hewitt's and Sean Hannity's, marking an end of a period of typically inept work on the part of Team McCain. In the Hewitt interview I heard - I can't stand Hannity, so I skipped that one - she sounded sharp and quite personable. Unless you're a totally unhinged moonbat who hates conservatives and judges women by the number of abortions they've had, I don't see who could dislike her.

However for her poise in stump speeches and friendly interviews, I've gotta say that the fawning "WE LUV SARAH!" reactions I've been hearing from callers to these shows is too reminiscent of the blind adoration of the racist-Marxist-terrorist loving Obamessiah to go unmentioned here. As mean and nasty as her interrogators have been, it seems as if Team McCain sent her to the wolves without reminding her that they were out to DESTROY her and thus if she didn't know the name of the Deputy Minister of Goat Breeding in Kreplochistan, she'd better have some witty parries ready. You know how you can see "Jeopardy" contestants look like they're seething and wanting to yell, "Don't get snotty with me, Trebeck! You only know it because it's on the card!!!", when Alex snarks, "Ooooooh, sorry. The answer was Strontium. Strontium."? That's what Palin needs to have said - "I don't know that off the top of my head, but did you know that before your producer handed you that card, Katie? Do you know who the Deputy Minister of Goat Breeding in Kreplochistan is, Charlie? ANSWER ME, BITCHES!!!"

But she didn't say that and this is a continuing problem for the Stupid Party: They are terminally incapable of speaking the clear truth of the liberal Dems' fascist agenda. McCain is just too mushy inside for his liberal pals to make the case and incapable of expressing an economic policy other than "Earmarks BAD!!!" (unless they're slathered on top of a Wall Street bailout bill) and Palin has been over-programmed and held down by her Team McCain handlers.

Combined with the Treason Media's diligent propaganda efforts for Obama, the largest factor in a McCain loss will be his inability (or unwillingness) to take the fight to those who would destroy this nation if elected. As I've repeatedly mentioned, I didn't vote for Dubya in '04 because of his poor performance in his first term (including signing McCain's unconstitutional campaign speech restriction law) and, more importantly, his utter inability to properly articulate to the public the stakes at risk from Islamofascism. In a dangerous world, his tepid reactions and pronouncements have allowed the Left to frame the debate to their purposes.

NRO's Peter Kirsanow has also noticed this and wrote about it this morning:

The refrain from most of the GOP talking heads over the last twenty four hours concerning Gwen Ifill's role during the VP debate is that she's a fine journalist, who, now that the fact of her book is public knowledge, shouldn't be precluded from moderating the event. Heck, it may even work to Palin's advantage because Ifill will be under intense scrutiny to be fair and balanced.

This rationale points to the GOP's ( and, to some extent, conservatives') nearly wholesale capitulation to liberal media dominance and is one of the reasons the GOP base find themselves so frequently dispirited: no objection, no fight, no pushback to a howling conflict of interest.

We're instructed that it's perfectly understandable when all of the Democratic presidential candidates refuse to debate on Fox. But Republicans are supposed to quietly take their medicine from a moderator with a direct financial interest in an Obama/ Biden victory.

I concur that Ifill's a professional. That's not the point. Republicans will find themselves losing more and more often if they do not vigorously challenge these media travesties. And it's the right thing to do for the country. A partisan, cheerleading press is not a hallmark of a free and democratic society.

So many times we see Republicans act "gentlemanly" and turn the other cheek — to what end? It simply emboldens the media toward even greater bias. How does that serve the interests of the country? Democrat fingerprints are all over the current financial mess; Dodd and Frank were integral to the debacle, yet the GOP does nothing to counter the prevailing narrative that this is a McCain—House Republican problem—and McCain's poll numbers plummet.
HELL YEAH!!! F*CK YEAH!!! WHAT HAVE I BEEN SAYING?!?!?
The conclusion of McCain's convention speech exhorting us to "fight, fight, fight" has been quickly forgotten. There's no honor in failing to challenge brazen media bias and distortion. It does the nation no good when voters cast ballots based upon false or misleading information. Right now it looks as if the same politicians who engineered the Fannie Mae/ Freddie Mac train wreck are going to win in November. The most liberal candidate with the most radical associations of any presidential aspirant in history is poised to win because the media, with virtual GOP acquiescence, has portrayed that candidate as mainstream.

The GOP seems to depend on Rush Limbaugh to correct the record, and query where we'd be without him? But the GOP better start doing it's job and forthrightly, aggressively challenge blatant media transgressions each and every time they occur. The economy's at stake. Success in the war on terrorism is at stake. The Supreme Court is at stake. Do your duty. And part of that duty is not meekly surrendering to rank media bias.
YOU HEAR THAT JOHN AND SARAH?!?!?!? Calling out the Treason Media isn't whining (unless you whine while doing it) and telling the truth about Obama's terrifying radical ties and hidden agendas is a f*cking public service! If you lose after explaining what fresh hell will be visited upon the world, then thems the breaks, but if you sit silently by because you want to be a nice guy (and gal), then you'll learn first-hand what happens to nice guys. Rush has been on fire in the first hour of his show today, laying out the Obama menace; what are you two gonna do for yourselves? Hmmmm?

How Can Gwen Ifill Possibly Be Fair?

As if we needed more proof that the media is totally in the tank for the Obamessiah, here's a Michelle Malkin column detailing the EXTREME conflicts of interest that the moderator of tomorrow's Veep debate between Moose-Slayer and Dr. Teeth, Gwen Ifill of PBS, has with regards to Obama.

First some background: Ifill hosts PBS's "Washington Week in Review" and I've enjoyed the show for quite a while even though it's just Beltway liberals from big Treason Media outlets spewing their liberal biases to each other. (I guess I view it as a comedy about people with either so little self-knowledge or such utter contempt for their viewers, they believe they're actually being objective journalists.) However, as I noted in "The Moose-Slayer Cometh!", after Palin's speech, "The PBS crew sounds depressed that she did so well." Don't just take my word for Ifill's sour demeanor, watch for yourself:

I figured she was just having typical liberal angst*, but as Malkin details, she has more invested than even I was aware of:

In an imaginary world where liberal journalists are held to the same standards as everyone else, Ifill would be required to make a full disclosure at the start of the debate. She would be required to turn to the cameras and tell the national audience that she has a book coming out on January 20, 2009 – a date that just happens to coincide with the inauguration of the next president of the United States.

The title of Ifill’s book? “Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama.” Nonpartisan my foot.

Ifill’s publisher, Random House, is already busy hyping the book with YouTube clips of Ifill heaping praise on her subjects, including Obama and Obama-endorsing Mass. Governor Deval Patrick.

Ifill and her publisher are banking on an Obama/Biden win to buoy her book sales. The moderator expected to treat both sides fairly has grandiosely declared this the “Age of Obama.” Can you imagine a right-leaning journalist writing a book about the “stunning” McCain campaign and its “bold” path to reform timed for release on Inauguration Day – and then expecting a slot as a moderator for the nation’s sole vice presidential debate?

Despite the protestations of her colleagues that she will be fair, Ifill has appeared on numerous radio and TV talk shows over the past several months to cash in on her access to the Obama campaign. She recently penned a fawning cover story on the Obamas for Essence magazine that earned much buzz. The title? “The Obamas: Portrait of an American Family.”

During the Democratic National Convention, Ifill offered her neutral analysis before Michelle Obama’s speech on NBC News: “A lot of people have never seen anything that looks like a Michelle Obama before. She’s educated, she’s beautiful, she’s tall, she tells you what she thinks and they hope that she can tell a story about Barack Obama and about herself…”

Like Obama, Ifill, who is black, is quick to play the race card at the first sign of criticism. In an interview with the Washington Post a few weeks ago, she carped: “[N]o one’s ever assumed a white reporter can’t cover a white candidate.”

It’s not the color of your skin, sweetie. It’s the color of your politics. Perhaps Ifill will be able to conceal it this week. But if the “stunning” “Breakthrough” she’s rooting for comes to pass on January 20, 2009, nobody will be fooled.

Crikey! Is this for reals? Someone on the Debates Commission thought it would be OK for someone with a vested interest in one of the candidates success to oversee this cage match?!?

The stakes are already pretty high as the conventional wisdom is that Moose-Slayer will do a face plant against the slick plagiarist from Deleware - Palin's been weak in interviews and the idiots at Team McCain HQ have kept her so under wraps that a "Free Sarah!" movement has erupted in the conservative media - and a poor showing will be devastating to McCain's chances for any substantive gaffes will be conflated with the smear campaign they've been running for the past month-plus into a deafening cry of "UNQUALIFIED!!! UNWORTHY!!!"

I've got a post in the works for tomorrow which shows just how frightening Obama's network of terrorists is and that for all the media spin and audience projection, he is the most dangerous and radical person to get near the levers of power and horrible consequences for America are in store if he wins the Election. Given McCain's lack of fire to fight his liberal pals and Palin's wet-behind-the-earsness, the debate was seen as a pretty big deal and with the moderator clearly too invested in the outcome of the race (as in foot, not color), the fix seems ever more in.

* I also see that on the 2nd night of the RNC, I had these observations about Ifill:
• Gwen Ifill is giving Tucker Bounds, McCain's campaign spokesman, the third degree that she didn't give her friends at the DNC last week. How am I not surprised that suddenly their journalistic teeth will are now out? She's asking if Palin's nomination is about to be scrapped since they've slung all the mud Fuhrer Obamessiah demands of them and she's obviously not worthy according to them. Keep it up, Treason Mediaers - the backlash will be stunning if I know the decency of the general public.

• OK, I'm back, it's perhaps 20 minutes later and a dour Gwen Ifill is asking someone else if Sarah Palin is a drag and to be tossed overboard. What media bias?
I had no idea this was coming or I would've said something them. Yeesh...chalk up Gwen Ifill in the Obama Compulsive Disorder positive column.

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS: The lineup of moderators was known long ago, so why is this just coming out two days before the debate? Why didn't Team McCain move to have Ifill removed for her obvious conflicts? Imagine it this way: If Brit Hume had a book slated to drop on Inauguration Day about John McCain, do you think he'd be allowed to moderate a debate? Exactly!

UPDATE: Power Line concurs:
Ifill's position is untenable. She will almost certainly be accused of (a) being unfair to Palin in order to sell her book, (b) being unfair to Biden in order to prevent accusation "a" or (c) both. Either the first of the second accusation will be quite plausible.

Ifill was selected by the Commission on Presidential Debates. In my view, her selection discredits this body. And Ifill's decision to accept the role of debate moderator during this cycle discredits her. In 2012, neither the Commission on Presidential Debates nor Ms. Ifill should play a role in presidential debates.
In case you think a respectable journalist would take pains to avoid sacrificing their all-important credibility, I've got two words for you: Dan. Rather. Four years ago, he threw away his career in order to smear Dubya with forged documents. The means justifies the ends to the Treason Media and perhaps Ifill anticipates becoming the Press Secretary to the Obamessiah after she's become radioactive as a journalist.

As I said above, the fix is in.

Media Bias? What Media Bias?!?

Nothing to see here. Move along:

Here’s all you need to know about the state of the elections…

A tally of name appearances at 4:15 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, September 16, on the ABC News website at “The Blotter from Brian Ross and The Investigate Team”

Palin: 24
McCain: 2
Biden: 1
Obama: 0

One is tempted, and I think I will, to use the “Send Tips to Brian” link in the upper right of the page to let him know that not only is Sarah Palin not running for President, but I have heard Barack Obama might be….
Just goes to show just how deep the Treason Media's OCD runs. Their Anointed One MUST win and if that means turning a blind eye to everything about him in order to protect him, so be it.

Moose-Slayer Triggers Liberal DEFCON 1!!!

Last night I wondered if the Treason Media was going to back off their misogynistic jihad against Palin or back off in recognition of the fact that they were creating a massive backlash which would redound to their Anointed One's chances. I don't know why I wondered since they're going even more insane than I would've thought possible.

As soon as it ended, they pounced on her, claiming that her speech was written for her. Excuse me? That's the line of argument they're going to attack her with? She had a speechwriter?!? WHO THE F*CK IN POLITICS DOESN'T HAVE A SPEECH WRITER?!?!? Even the all powerful Obamessiah, who can feed a football stadium with loaves and fishes and walk on water, has people putting words into his TelePrompter. (The stumbling, bumbling, nearly Dubya-grade doofus he is when off prompter is legendary among those who don't rely on the Treason Media for their news. They cover that up like FDR's polio and JFK's philandering.) Hillary had a writer last week, where were the attacks?

Duh.

Bill Bennett said something this morning that echoed my opinion that the reason the TM is against Palin is because she has risen to such prominence without being a liberal feminist in the man-hating, multiple abortion-having sense that the Left demands. Just as with their figurative lynchings of Clarence Thomas and Michael Steele, women (and minorities) are only allowed to advance if they genuflect at the Altar of Liberal Fascism and woe to all who dare act otherwise. The side that proclaims its "tolerance" and "diversity" possesses NEITHER trait. "Know your place, boys and girls," is their message. Michael Steele had his privacy invaded by Chuck Shumer's minions and Oreos thrown at him by the same Brownshirts who are throwing bleach on conventioneers in St. Paul. His crime? Being a black Republican when liberal orthodoxy sees blacks as sub-humans who must remained chained to them as Democratic party property. This is why they accuse anyone not worshiping the Obamessiah of racism - they are projecting their own racism upon everyone else.

The Dem hacks also criticized her "shrill" tone, meaning, "She mocked us for our fecklessness! Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!! No one should ever make fun of us!!!!! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!" What total pussies. They accuse Dubya of everything from staging 9/11 to Brett Favre leaving Green Bay, but the moment some...some...FEMALE (gasp!) points out their culpability for the current situation where they want people poor to drive voters to Obama by crippling the economy and their unwillingness to allow America victory in war and they lose their fudge.

The always brilliant Mark Steyn posted on The Corner:

I would like to thank the US media for doing such a grand job this last week of lowering expectations by portraying Governor Palin - whoops, I mean Hick-Burg Mayor Palin - as a hillbilly know-nothing permapregnant ditz, half of whose 27 kids are the spawn of a stump-toothed uncle who hasn't worked since he was an extra in Deliverance.

How's that narrative holding up, geniuses? Almost as good as your "devoted husband John Edwards" routine?

I trust even now Maureen Dowd is working on a hilarious new column mocking proposed names for the Governor's first grandchild. Perhaps Richard Cohen can just take the week off and they can rerun his insightful analysis comparing the Palin nomination to Caligula making his horse a consul. Whereas we sophisticates all know that if McCain were as smart as Obama he'd have nominated a dead horse to be his consul. No wait...
It's anecdotal, but there is a growing swell of support for Palin simply because decent people are totally disgusted by the Treason Media's spittle-flecked jeremiad against her. The see a frightened, entrenched cabal of elites attacking a mother of five for daring to speak real Truth to their corrupt power. Unlike Hillary, Palin isn't whining and playing the victim; she's throwing it back in their face and people love a scrappy underdog.

They said that the throne was the Obamessiah's to lose. With the Treason Media carrying on this way, they may just lose it for Him. That would be wonderful and ironic, wouldn't it?

The Moose-Slayer Cometh! (RNC Night 3)

Live-blogging and updating as needed...

• The Treason Media either hasn't gotten a whiff of the backlash they're fomenting against their smears of Palin or they've decided to go all in because after spending the past five days tearing this woman down out of their sheer terror and hatred for women who don't line up on the Left, why stop now?

Now the Enquirer is hinting that Palin had an affair years ago and the TM are repeating the story even though those same outlets ignored John Edwards' affair and baby until he came out on ABC and admitted it. This created the odd spectacle of a guy confessing an affair that most of the public had no idea about because the media protects liberals. Compare this to the thrashing 17-year-old Bristol is receiving. Old, young, doesn't matter - unless you're a liberal and/or have the required abortion for membership, women aren't real people in the eyes of the Left.

Besides, Malkin has a Photoshop of the US cover they never ran:

• Meg Whitman, former chairman of eBay, who grew the company from 30 to 15,000 employees in a decade spoke. She must be one of those evil rich people the Dems seek to annihilate in the name of "social justice". They should raise her taxes, that brute!

• Andrew Kohut of the Pew Research Group is saying that the public has absorbed the message of the TM that we're living in a Depression. Nevermind that the economy GREW 3.3% last quarter and that gas is down over 60 cents a gallon in the month that Dubya made moves to open drilling, the media wants you to feel miserable so as to support a glorious socialist revolution and the restoration of Das Fatherland under Fuhrer Obamessiah. Funny how since the Dems took over, gas prices doubled, the mortgage bubble burst, and it's all Dubya's fault and the solution is more Dems and Obama as Kingpin of the whole corrupt cabal, no?

• Carly Fiorina, former CEO of HP, is speaking. Funny how the shrill harpies last week at the DNC were shrieking about the need for more government and more abortion, while Republican women showcased are successful business women who ran huge Evil Corporations worth gazillions of dollars and employing tens of thousands of employees and we're told Barry O'Bama's years of being a "community organizer" trump that, huh? That said, she's not keeping the crowd riveted with her bullet point list of what Juan McAmnesty will do.

• Speaking of which, snips of Palin's speech have been released and if delivered properly, she's gonna be America's Sweetheart by 11pm EST. When I read this line - "Before I became governor of the great state of Alaska, I was mayor of my hometown. And since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on that experience, let me explain to them what the job involves. I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a ‘community organizer,’ except that you have actual responsibilities." - I called Hermione up and told her she may want to watch this cuz it's rock star time.

• Gwen Ifill is on the floor baiting a pair of delegates who supported Romney and Huckabee with, "C'mon, don't you think that your guy should be Veep. C'mon, take a swing at McCain and show how divided your party is compared to the glorious People's Democratic Party.", type questions and they ain't falling for it.

• Now former Lt. Gov. Michael Steele of Maryland - who's run for the top job Senate led Dems to illegally pull his credit reports and liberal bloggers to throw Oreos and put doctored photos of him in black face - is out there and he had to wait for the chants of "STEELE!" to die down. He got the whole arena going with "Drill, baby, DRILL!"

• I just noticed that we're an hour in and I haven't seen a white guy on stage yet. Two black men, two white women and a Hispanic man have spoken. Did the Dems give this much time to non-whites and non-males except as tokens and victims? Soon, it'll be Honkypalooza as Rudy, Huckleberry, Mitt and Moose-Slayer lighten things up.

• I was chatting with a good friend this afternoon and he wrote "McCain/MILF '08" and wondered if there was a bumper sticker for that. This is but one out there:

Heh.

• Mitt Romney is out here to provide enough whiteness to balance the first hour. Meaty speech of conservative talk that frightened poor David Brooks who declared this the first speech of the 2012 campaign. "He figures that if McCain loses, the party will be tired of mavericks and want a solid conservative and he'll be there." The panel was aghast that anyone would dare speak against liberalism. ORLY? At the Stupid Party convention, this is a surprise? Did they blanch at all the anti-conservative/pro-fascist talk at the Dems Mile-High Nuremberg Rally last week? If so, I missed it and I watch most of it.

• Now the panel is moaning that poor Huckleberry Huckabee didn't get more consideration? Gee, could it be that the fact he is a unserious populist who loves rewarding invaders and would've sunk the already wishy-washy McCain? Duh.

Huck got in a bunch of good digs at Barry's European Vacation and how he brought back the ideas of bigger, more fascist government. Awesome section smacking down the myth that the Dems are the party of the "little guy" - "I didn't become a Republican because I was rich; I was tired of being poor waiting for the government to come along and bail me out." (Probably scrambled that.) SICK BURN on Biden saying that Palin got more votes running for mayor of Nowhere, Alaska than Biden got running for President. Told a story about desks and veterans that I see he's told before, but I hadn't heard it. His preacher background was evident.

• The lady guv'ner, Linda Lingle, of Hawaii is out paving the way for Moose-Slayer and getting in some choice shots at the thinness of the Dem ticket, including mocking the tinyness of Delaware compared to Alaska. Heh.

• The Corner is saying they're getting complaints that Fox News didn't show Romney or Huckabee. NBC screwed with the coverage last night - showing Dubya without the crowd reax and not showing Fred Thompson - but it's crazy that anyone, much less the supposedly GOP-controlled Fox News, would omit such large chunks of coverage. Wonder WTF that's about?

• Rudy's out now for the keynote. Remember last year when everyone said that it was was gonna be him vs. Hillary! for Prez? (So much for that conventional wisdom, eh?) After the eleventy-zillionth mention that McCain was a wounded war hero, he tore into Obama's empty resume and his 130 votes of "present" in the Illinois Senate - when you have to make a Presidential decision, present isn't an option. The crowd keeps chanting, "Zero! Zero!" The guy's accomplished nothing but becoming famous and developing a death cult, but I guess pointing that out is...wait for it........RACIST!!! Balderdash!

He totally called out the Dems appeasement and defeatism about the Iraq Non-War, contrasting McCain's support for the surge when it was considered good money after bad and political suicide. Obama's flip-flops and mendacity got an airing. I shudder to think if this is the first time anyone is hearing this stuff. Pay attention, people! Good shots about Obama's squishy fumbling of the Russian invasion of Georgia. Got the crowd on their feet repeatedly. Easily surpassed Fred's truckload of red meat last night. (I wonder if McCain will do as well tomorrow?)

• Several times conventioneers have broken out in chants of "U-S-A!!! U-S-A!!!" Did you hear any of those last week in Denver or were they chanting "O-ba-ma! O-ba-ma!"? Pretty scary cult of personality going on over there. Republicans love America; Democrats love power in the form of their god-become-flesh Obama. Whoops, can't question their patriotism, can we? Why not? They're anti-American - we can't mention that?

• The Moose-Slayer is in da heeeezzzyyyy!!!! Crazy long standing ovation. It's showtime!

• They didn't run the bio film, narrated by Jon Voight, ahead of her entrance; I wonder what happened to it? Interesting cutaways on the PBS coverage: Piper (her youngest daughter) licking her palm and wetting down baby Trig's hair; some protester getting hauled out of the arena. Just as it was in 2004, the liberals crash the GOP's convention while the conservatives respected the Dems conventions. Typical thuggishness.

Good blend of folksy and wonk and a wicked smackdown on the Obamessiah's "Styrofoam Greek colums" and the fact he's written two memoirs, but no legislation or reforms. Ka-POW!!!!

• Well, she cranked that one into orbit. The Treason Media will either STFU or destroy themselves in the public's eyes with their unhinged jihad against her. The Dems must be positively crapping themselves as they see countless women rallying to Palin's flag of genuine feminine power and accomplishment. Unlike Hillary, she didn't have a horndog husband to provide pity points for her political ambitions.

• The PBS crew sounds depressed that she did so well. In contrast with the CEOs earlier, she showed the political skill that this sort of gig requires on top of skills. Mark Shields blubbered that she contradicted herself about the Bridge to Nowhere. Oh, yeah, that's right - when liberals flip-flop, it means nothing; when conservatives change position, it's the gallows for them!

• Nightline is invested in her destruction. After an assortment of clips, they came back from the break with tapes of this trooper scandal in Alaska and ominously intoned that this was going to be trouble for her. Well, DUH!!! They're committed to destroying conservatives, especially women and minorities who break away from the Dems plantation. Anyone got links to the episodes of Nightline which discussed Obama's close ties to terrorists, felons and racists and how this was going to affect him? [crickets]

• The Corner is reporting that the MSNBC gang looked visibly depressed and Andrew Sullivan has gone further batsh*t crazy; still demanding that they prove Trig is Palin's kid. I took his link off here a couple years ago because he was getting so maniacal about gay marriage and I haven't regretted it.

• Charlie Rose's panel managed to mask their shell shock well. They're acknowledging that so far it's working out nicely, though they are trying to push the meme that she wasn't properly vetted. Um, Obama's been running for 18 months and the TM hasn't shown the slightest interest in looking into his shady associations. Double standards are the coins of their realm.

Full text of the Moose-Slayer's Manifesto. One of the best bits:

This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting, and never use the word "victory" except when he's talking about his own campaign. But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed ... when the roar of the crowd fades away ... when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot - what exactly is our opponent's plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet? The answer is to make government bigger ... take more of your money ... give you more orders from Washington ... and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world.
OWWWWWWW!!!!! Truth stings like an Oedipus, don't it?!? And this part perfectly framed the two-faced contempt the Dems have toward the little guys they pretend to care about:
I might add that in small towns, we don’t quite know what to make of a candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they are listening, and then talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns when those people aren’t listening. We tend to prefer candidates who don’t talk about us one way in Scranton and another way in San Francisco.
BAM! BAM! BAM!!!

• Tomorrow: Can McCain make the sale? He's certainly the least polished of the people on the tickets; is the public so in need of slick that they won't accept substance if it's not packaged neatly? (Obama is all style with zero substance and look where he is.) After the Moose-Slayer's 12-run grand slam tonight, he's really got to pull another rabbit out of his ass to look half as good.

Little Known Facts About the Alaska Governor

Heh.

• Sarah Palin’s enemies are automatically added to the Endangered Species List
• Sarah Palin as VP increases Depends sales among scatalogically frightened Democrats
• Sarah Palin is what Willis was talkin bout
• Jesus has a bracelet that says, “WWSPD?”
• Death once had a near-Sarah Palin experience
• Little Known Fact: Sarah Palin will give birth to the man who will lead humanity’s war against the machines.
Take that, Chuck Norris!!!

"The Four Stages of Conservative Female Abuse"

I was going to toss up a few comments about the ludicrous amount of anal probing the Treason Media is giving Sarah Palin and her family - especially compared to the utter disinterest they've shown in looking into Obama's ties to terrorists, crooks and racists - but while sipping my coffee, I see that Michelle Malkin has already laid out the Left's strategy to slap down women who don't know their place:

There’s something about outspoken conservative women that drives the Left mad. It’s a peculiar pathology I’ve reported on for more than 15 years, both as a witness and a target. Thus, the onset of Palin Derangement Syndrome in the media, Democrat circles, and the cesspools of the blogosphere came as no surprise. They just can’t help themselves.

Liberals hold a special animus for constituencies they deem traitors. Minorities who identify as social and economic conservatives have left the plantation and sold out their people. Women who put an “R” by their name have abandoned their ovaries and betrayed their gender. As Republican officeholders and conservative public figures who are women have grown in number and visibility, the progression of Conservative Female Abuse has worsened. The astonishing vitriol and virulent hatred directed at GOP Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is the most severe manifestation to date.

The first stage of Conservative Female Abuse by the Left is infantilization. Right-wing women can’t possibly believe what they believe about the sanctity of life, self-defense, free markets, or foreign policy. They must be submissive little dolls of the White Male Hierarchy.

The second stage of CFA is sexualization. A conservative woman is not merely a sellout. She is an intellectual prostitute. Unable or unwilling to argue with them on the merits, detractors resort to mocking the physical appearance of their ideological opponents in skirts and denigrating them with vulgar epithets.

The third stage of CFA is demonization. When the Left tires of hurling whore insults, it turns conservative women in the public eye into nefarious creatures.

And the final stage of CFA is dehumanization. Conservative women aren’t real women according to the liberal feminist establishment’s definition.

Echoing the bottom-feeders in the liberal blogosphere, mainstream journalists and Obama water-carriers now question Palin’s commitment to motherhood and even challenged her pre-natal care decisions in an effort to destroy her. Forget about questioning their patriotism. I question their sanity.
Read the full article for the examples and backup links of the Left's utter hatred for anyone who refuses to goosestep to their Orthodox fascist beat.

Palin's big night is tonight. If she hits her convention speech out of the park, the Left will go even more insane and seek to destroy her ten times as hard. The question is whether women will notice that liberals only respect them for the votes they can provide and the abortions they can have. What? Too unkind? Considering there is no greater apostasy than not voting for Dems and having babies, that characterization is precisely right.
